1 Jesus and his followers left the Temple, and one of the followers said, “Teacher, look at these lovely buildings, and see how big those stones are.”
1 Saindo Jesus do templo, disse-lhe um dos seus discípulos:Mestre, olha que pedras e que construções!
2 Jesus said, “Yes, take a good look at this big building. Later on, it will not be here, it will be just a pile of broken stones on the ground.”
2 Jesus replicou-lhe: Vês este grande edifício? Não se deixará pedra sobre pedra que não seja demolida.
3 Then Jesus and his followers went out of Jerusalem, and they sat down on the hill called the Mount of Olives. They could see the Temple from there, and so, as they looked at it, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked Jesus quietly,
3 E estando sentado no monte das Oliveiras, defronte do templo, perguntaram-lhe à parte Pedro, Tiago, João e André:
4 “When will that building be just a pile of stones? Will there be a sign to show us when it is going to happen?” The Temple will be just a pile of broken stones|src="IMG_6404 pile of stones shaded.tif" size="col" copy="Richard Davies-AIM" ref="13:4"
4 Dize-nos, quando hão de suceder essas coisas? E por que sinal se saberá que tudo isso se vai realizar?
5 Jesus said, “Yes, these are the signs to look out for, but people will try to trick you and so you have to be careful.
5 Jesus pôs-se então a dizer-lhes: Cuidai que ninguém vos engane.
6 A lot of people will come and say, ‘I am the man sent from God called The Christ’, and a lot of people will get tricked up.
6 Muitos virão em meu nome, dizendo: Sou eu. E seduzirão a muitos.
7 You will hear stories about wars that are happening now, and you might hear stories about wars that will happen later. Do not let those stories make you frightened, it is not the right time for the world to finish up yet.
7 Quando ouvirdes falar de guerras e de rumores de guerra, não temais; porque é necessário que estas coisas aconteçam, mas não será ainda o fim.
8 I am telling you straight. People from different countries are going to fight each other and people from different tribes are going to fight each other too. There will be earthquakes everywhere. There will not be much food and everybody will be really hungry.
8 Levantar-se-ão nação contra nação e reino contra reino; e haverá terremotos em diversos lugares, e fome. Isto será o princípio das dores.
9 Be careful how you live. You have followed me, and so people are going to arrest you and take you to court. They will flog you in their meeting houses. You will have to stand in front of kings and government leaders. And when that happens, you can tell them about me and what I did.
9 Cuidai de vós mesmos; sereis arrastados diante dos tribunais e açoitados nas sinagogas, e comparecereis diante dos governadores e reis por minha causa, para dar testemunho de mim diante deles.
10 Before the world finishes up, people in every country and every tribe must be told the good news about me. And you can tell people how they can be made right with God.
10 Mas primeiro é necessário que o Evangelho seja pregado a todas as nações.
11 Yes, you will be arrested, but when you go to court do not worry about what to say. At the right time, the Holy Spirit will tell you what to say to the judge.
11 Quando vos levarem para vos entregar, não premediteis no que haveis de dizer, mas dizei o que vos for inspirado naquela hora; porque não sois vós que falais, mas sim o Espírito Santo.
12 The trouble will get so bad that some men will get their brothers arrested and killed. Some fathers will do the same to their children, and some children will turn against their parents and have them killed.
12 O irmão entregará à morte o irmão, e o pai, o filho; e os filhos insurgir-se-ão contra os pais e dar-lhes-ão a morte.
13 You follow me and that is why everyone will hate you. But if you stay strong and do not give up, God will keep you safe in his family.”
13 E sereis odiados de todos por causa de meu nome. Mas o que perseverar até o fim será salvo.
14 And then he said, “Later on, you people who live in Judea will see a really bad thing that someone put in the wrong place. That thing will make a lot of trouble. When that happens, run away to the high hills! Anyone reading this story should take notice of my warning.
14 Quando virdes a abominação da desolação no lugar onde não deve estar o leitor entenda , então os que estiverem na Judéia fujam para os montes;
15 You might be outside your house, or you might even be up on your roof. Do not try to save anything from inside your house.
15 o que estiver sobre o terraço não desça nem entre em casa para dela levar alguma coisa;
16 You might be working in a paddock, but do not go back into your house to get your coat, just run away quickly.
16 e o que se achar no campo não volte a buscar o seu manto.
17 At that time it will be really hard for women that are waiting for babies to be born, and it will be just as hard for mothers that are still feeding their babies with their milk.
17 Ai das mulheres que naqueles dias estiverem grávidas e amamentando!
18 You should pray and ask God not to let this trouble happen in winter time when it's hard to travel in the country.
18 Rogai para que isto não aconteça no inverno!
19 Right from the beginning when God made everything, there has always been trouble, but the trouble that is coming will be the worst kind. And it will never be this bad again!
19 Porque naqueles dias haverá tribulações tais, como não as houve desde o princípio do mundo que Deus criou até agora, nem haverá jamais.
20 If God lets that trouble keep on going, everyone will die. But God has picked some people to be in his family and so he wants them to stay alive. That is why he will not let that trouble keep on going.
20 Se o Senhor não abreviasse aqueles dias, ninguém se salvaria; mas ele os abreviou em atenção aos eleitos que escolheu.
21 Like I said before, do not believe people that say, ‘We have found The Christ, the special man from God. Here he is.’ Or if they say, ‘There he is over there,’ do not believe them.
21 E se então alguém vos disser: Eis, aqui está o Cristo; ou: Ei-lo acolá, não creiais.
22 There will be a lot of people that will tell lies and try to trick you. Some will say that they are The Christ, the special man from God. Other people will say they are talking for God, and they might do all kinds of clever things. Yes, they will try and trick the people that God has picked to be in his family.
22 Porque se levantarão falsos cristos e falsos profetas, que farão sinais e portentos para seduzir, se possível for, até os escolhidos.
23 So be careful. I am telling you about it now so that later on, when it happens, you can be ready.
23 Ficai de sobreaviso. Eis que vos preveni de tudo.
24 When that time of trouble finishes, more things will happen that God tells us about in his book. He said,
24 Naqueles dias, depois dessa tribulação, o sol se escurecerá, a lua não dará o seu resplendor;
25 The stars and the other powerful things in the sky will all shake and fall down.’ The Sun, Moon, stars and other powerful things will all fall down|src="sun moon and stars fall down.tif" size="col" copy="Richard Davies (AIM)" ref="13:25"
25 cairão os astros do céu e as forças que estão no céu serão abaladas.
26 Then everybody will see God's special man come back from heaven in the clouds. People will see that he is really strong, and powerful, and he will be just like God.
26 Então verão o Filho do homem voltar sobre as nuvens com grande poder e glória.
27 He will send God's angels out to every place all over the world. Those angels will get all the people that God picked to be in his family and bring them to God.
27 Ele enviará os anjos, e reunirá os seus escolhidos dos quatro ventos, desde a extremidade da terra até a extremidade do céu.
28 Think about this. Whenever you see new leaves on a fruit tree, you know that the weather is going to change soon.
28 Compreendei por uma comparação tirada da figueira. Quando os seus ramos vão ficando tenros e brotam as folhas, sabeis que está perto o verão.
29 It's the same with all these things that I am telling you about now, they will show you that something is about to happen. You will see these things happen and you will know that I will come soon.
29 Assim também quando virdes acontecer estas coisas, sabei que o Filho do homem está próximo, às portas.
30 Listen, there are some people alive now that will still be alive when these things happen.
30 Em verdade vos digo: não passará esta geração sem que tudo isto aconteça.
31 One day the sky and the ground will both finish up, but my words will never finish up.”
31 Passarão o céu e a terra, mas as minhas palavras não passarão.
32 — ausente —
32 A respeito, porém, daquele dia ou daquela hora, ninguém o sabe, nem os anjos do céu nem mesmo o Filho, mas somente o Pai.
33 — ausente —
33 Ficai de sobreaviso, vigiai; porque não sabeis quando será o tempo.
34 Listen to this story. A man wanted to go and stay in another place for a while. So he told his workmen to look after everything at his house while he was away. He told each one of them to do their own jobs. And he told the man that opens and closes the gate, to keep watching the road for when he would come back.”
34 Será como um homem que, partindo em viagem, deixa a sua casa e delega sua autoridade aos seus servos, indicando o trabalho de cada um, e manda ao porteiro que vigie.
35 — ausente —
35 Vigiai, pois, visto que não sabeis quando o senhor da casa voltará, se à tarde, se à meia-noite, se ao cantar do galo, se pela manhã,
36 — ausente —
36 para que, vindo de repente, não vos encontre dormindo.
37 And so, I am telling you all to be careful, just like I tell everybody else. Keep watching! You have to be ready for me to come.”
37 O que vos digo, digo a todos: vigiai!
