1 Jesus and his followers left the Temple, and one of the followers said, “Teacher, look at these lovely buildings, and see how big those stones are.”
1 Quando Jesus saía do templo, um de seus discípulos disse: “Mestre, olhe que construções magníficas! Que pedras impressionantes!”.
2 Jesus said, “Yes, take a good look at this big building. Later on, it will not be here, it will be just a pile of broken stones on the ground.”
2 Jesus respondeu: “Está vendo estas grandes construções? Serão completamente destruídas. Não restará pedra sobre pedra!”.
3 Then Jesus and his followers went out of Jerusalem, and they sat down on the hill called the Mount of Olives. They could see the Temple from there, and so, as they looked at it, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked Jesus quietly,
3 Mais tarde, Jesus sentou-se no monte das Oliveiras, do outro lado do vale, de frente para o templo. Pedro, Tiago, João e André vieram e lhe perguntaram em particular:
4 “When will that building be just a pile of stones? Will there be a sign to show us when it is going to happen?” The Temple will be just a pile of broken stones|src="IMG_6404 pile of stones shaded.tif" size="col" copy="Richard Davies-AIM" ref="13:4"
4 “Diga-nos, quando isso tudo vai acontecer? Que sinais indicarão que essas coisas estão prestes a se cumprir?”.
5 Jesus said, “Yes, these are the signs to look out for, but people will try to trick you and so you have to be careful.
5 Jesus respondeu: “Não deixem que ninguém os engane,
6 A lot of people will come and say, ‘I am the man sent from God called The Christ’, and a lot of people will get tricked up.
6 pois muitos virão em meu nome, dizendo: ‘Eu sou o Cristo’, e enganarão muitos.
7 You will hear stories about wars that are happening now, and you might hear stories about wars that will happen later. Do not let those stories make you frightened, it is not the right time for the world to finish up yet.
7 Vocês ouvirão falar de guerras e ameaças de guerras, mas não entrem em pânico. Sim, é necessário que essas coisas ocorram, mas ainda não será o fim.
8 I am telling you straight. People from different countries are going to fight each other and people from different tribes are going to fight each other too. There will be earthquakes everywhere. There will not be much food and everybody will be really hungry.
8 Uma nação guerreará contra a outra, e um reino contra o outro. Haverá terremotos em vários lugares, e também fome. Tudo isso, porém, será apenas o começo das dores de parto.
9 Be careful how you live. You have followed me, and so people are going to arrest you and take you to court. They will flog you in their meeting houses. You will have to stand in front of kings and government leaders. And when that happens, you can tell them about me and what I did.
9 “Tenham cuidado! Vocês serão entregues aos tribunais e açoitados nas sinagogas. Por minha causa, serão julgados diante de governadores e reis. Essa será sua oportunidade de lhes falar a meu respeito.
10 Before the world finishes up, people in every country and every tribe must be told the good news about me. And you can tell people how they can be made right with God.
10 É necessário, primeiro, que as boas-novas sejam anunciadas a todas as nações.
11 Yes, you will be arrested, but when you go to court do not worry about what to say. At the right time, the Holy Spirit will tell you what to say to the judge.
11 Quando forem presos e julgados, não se preocupem com o que dirão. Falem apenas o que lhes for concedido naquele momento, pois não serão vocês que falarão, mas o Espírito Santo.
12 The trouble will get so bad that some men will get their brothers arrested and killed. Some fathers will do the same to their children, and some children will turn against their parents and have them killed.
12 “O irmão trairá seu irmão e o entregará à morte, e assim também o pai a seu próprio filho. Os filhos se rebelarão contra os pais e os matarão.
13 You follow me and that is why everyone will hate you. But if you stay strong and do not give up, God will keep you safe in his family.”
13 Todos os odiarão por minha causa, mas quem se mantiver firme até o fim será salvo.
14 And then he said, “Later on, you people who live in Judea will see a really bad thing that someone put in the wrong place. That thing will make a lot of trouble. When that happens, run away to the high hills! Anyone reading this story should take notice of my warning.
14 “Chegará o dia em que vocês verão a ‘terrível profanação’ no lugar onde não deveria estar. (Leitor, preste atenção!) Então, quem estiver na Judeia, fuja para os montes.
15 You might be outside your house, or you might even be up on your roof. Do not try to save anything from inside your house.
15 Quem estiver na parte de cima da casa, não desça nem entre para pegar coisa alguma.
16 You might be working in a paddock, but do not go back into your house to get your coat, just run away quickly.
16 Quem estiver no campo, não volte nem para pegar o manto.
17 At that time it will be really hard for women that are waiting for babies to be born, and it will be just as hard for mothers that are still feeding their babies with their milk.
17 Que terríveis serão aqueles dias para as grávidas e para as mães que estiverem amamentando!
18 You should pray and ask God not to let this trouble happen in winter time when it's hard to travel in the country.
18 Orem para que a fuga de vocês não aconteça no inverno,
19 Right from the beginning when God made everything, there has always been trouble, but the trouble that is coming will be the worst kind. And it will never be this bad again!
19 pois haverá mais angústia naqueles dias que em qualquer outra ocasião desde que Deus criou o mundo, e nunca mais haverá angústia tão grande.
20 If God lets that trouble keep on going, everyone will die. But God has picked some people to be in his family and so he wants them to stay alive. That is why he will not let that trouble keep on going.
20 De fato, se o Senhor não tivesse limitado esse tempo, ninguém sobreviveria, mas, por causa de seus escolhidos, ele limitou aqueles dias.
21 Like I said before, do not believe people that say, ‘We have found The Christ, the special man from God. Here he is.’ Or if they say, ‘There he is over there,’ do not believe them.
21 “Portanto, se alguém lhes disser: ‘Vejam, aqui está o Cristo!’ ou ‘Vejam, ali está ele!’, não acreditem,
22 There will be a lot of people that will tell lies and try to trick you. Some will say that they are The Christ, the special man from God. Other people will say they are talking for God, and they might do all kinds of clever things. Yes, they will try and trick the people that God has picked to be in his family.
22 pois falsos cristos e falsos profetas surgirão e realizarão sinais e maravilhas a fim de enganar, se possível, até os escolhidos.
23 So be careful. I am telling you about it now so that later on, when it happens, you can be ready.
23 Fiquem atentos! Eu os avisei a esse respeito de antemão.
24 When that time of trouble finishes, more things will happen that God tells us about in his book. He said,
24 “Naquele tempo, depois da angústia daqueles dias, ‘o sol escurecerá, a lua não dará luz,
25 The stars and the other powerful things in the sky will all shake and fall down.’ The Sun, Moon, stars and other powerful things will all fall down|src="sun moon and stars fall down.tif" size="col" copy="Richard Davies (AIM)" ref="13:25"
25 as estrelas cairão do céu, e os poderes dos céus serão abalados’.
26 Then everybody will see God's special man come back from heaven in the clouds. People will see that he is really strong, and powerful, and he will be just like God.
26 Então todos verão o Filho do Homem vindo nas nuvens com grande poder e glória.
27 He will send God's angels out to every place all over the world. Those angels will get all the people that God picked to be in his family and bring them to God.
27 Ele enviará seus anjos para reunir seus escolhidos de todas as partes do mundo, das extremidades da terra às extremidades do céu.
28 Think about this. Whenever you see new leaves on a fruit tree, you know that the weather is going to change soon.
28 “Agora, aprendam a lição da figueira. Quando surgem seus ramos e suas folhas começam a brotar, vocês sabem que o verão está próximo.
29 It's the same with all these things that I am telling you about now, they will show you that something is about to happen. You will see these things happen and you will know that I will come soon.
29 Da mesma forma, quando virem todas essas coisas, saberão que o tempo está muito próximo, à porta.
30 Listen, there are some people alive now that will still be alive when these things happen.
30 Eu lhes digo a verdade: esta geração certamente não passará até que todas essas coisas tenham acontecido.
31 One day the sky and the ground will both finish up, but my words will never finish up.”
31 O céu e a terra desaparecerão, mas as minhas palavras jamais desaparecerão.
32 — ausente —
32 “Contudo, ninguém sabe o dia nem a hora em que essas coisas acontecerão, nem mesmo os anjos no céu, nem o Filho. Somente o Pai sabe.
33 — ausente —
33 E, uma vez que vocês não sabem quando virá esse tempo, vigiem! Fiquem atentos!
34 Listen to this story. A man wanted to go and stay in another place for a while. So he told his workmen to look after everything at his house while he was away. He told each one of them to do their own jobs. And he told the man that opens and closes the gate, to keep watching the road for when he would come back.”
34 “A vinda do Filho do Homem pode ser ilustrada pela história de um homem que partiu numa longa viagem. Quando saiu de casa, deu instruções a cada um de seus servos sobre o que fazer e disse ao porteiro que vigiasse, à espera de sua volta.
35 — ausente —
35 Vocês também devem vigiar! Pois não sabem quando o dono da casa voltará: à tarde, à meia-noite, de madrugada ou ao amanhecer.
36 — ausente —
36 Que ele não os encontre dormindo quando chegar sem aviso.
37 And so, I am telling you all to be careful, just like I tell everybody else. Keep watching! You have to be ready for me to come.”
37 Eu lhes digo o que digo a todos: vigiem!”.
