1 I want you to know how great is my concern for you and those in Laodicea, even all who have not met me personally,
1 Pois quero que saibais quão grande luta tenho por vós, e pelos que estão em Laodicéia, e por quantos não viram a minha pessoa;
2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being united in love and into a great wealth of confident understanding,into a real knowledge of the mystery of the God and Father and of the Christ,
2 para que os seus corações sejam animados, estando unidos em amor, e enriquecidos da plenitude do entendimento para o pleno conhecimento do mistério de Deus-Cristo,
3 in whom all the treasures of the wisdom and the knowledge are hidden.
3 no qual estão escondidos todos os tesouros da sabedoria e da ciência.
4 Now I say this so that no one may deceive you with specious arguments.
4 Digo isto, para que ninguém vos engane com palavras persuasivas.
5 For although in fact I am physically absent, yet my spirit is with you, rejoicing as I observeyour orderliness and the firmness of your faith in Christ.
5 Porque ainda que eu esteja ausente quanto ao corpo, contudo em espírito estou convosco, regozijando-me, e vendo a vossa ordem e a firmeza da vossa fé em Cristo.
6 So then, keep on walking in the Christ, Jesus the Sovereign, just as you received Him,
6 Portanto, assim como recebestes a Cristo Jesus, o Senhor, assim também nele andai,
7 having been rooted and being built up in Himand being established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
7 arraigados e edificados nele, e confirmados na fé, assim como fostes ensinados, abundando em ação de graças.
8 Be careful that no one captures you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the basic principles of the world and not according to Christ.
8 Tendo cuidado para que ninguém vos faça presa sua, por meio de filosofias e vãs sutilezas, segundo a tradição dos homens, segundo os rudimentos do mundo, e não segundo Cristo;
9 Because all the Fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him in bodily form,
9 porque nele habita corporalmente toda a plenitude da divindade,
10 and you are complete in Him who is the head over all rule and authority.
10 e tendes a vossa plenitude nele, que é a cabeça de todo principado e potestade,
11 In Him you were also ‘circumcised’ by the putting off of the body of the sins of the flesh, not with a circumcision done by hands but with the circumcision of the Christ,
11 no qual também fostes circuncidados com a circuncisão não feita por mãos no despojar do corpo da carne, a saber, a circuncisão de Cristo;
12 having been buried with Him in the baptism.In Him you were also raised together through your faith in the productive power of the God who raised Him from among the dead.
12 tendo sido sepultados com ele no batismo, no qual também fostes ressuscitados pela fé no poder de Deus, que o ressuscitou dentre os mortos;
13 Yes you, though being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh—He has made you alive together with Him; having forgiven us all our trespasses;
13 e a vós, quando estáveis mortos nos vossos delitos e na incircuncisão da vossa carne, vos vivificou juntamente com ele, perdoando-nos todos os delitos;
14 having wiped out the written record about us that was against us (based on the ordinances),indeed He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross;
14 e havendo riscado o escrito de dívida que havia contra nós nas suas ordenanças, o qual nos era contrário, removeu-o do meio de nós, cravando-o na cruz;
15 having stripped the principalities and the authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, having triumphed over them by it [the cross].
15 e, tendo despojado os principados e potestades, os exibiu publicamente e deles triunfou na mesma cruz.
16 So do not let anyone judge you about food or drink, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or Sabbaths,
16 Ninguém, pois, vos julgue pelo comer, ou pelo beber, ou por causa de dias de festa, ou de lua nova, ou de sábados,
17 which things are but a shadow of those to come, while the body is Christ's.
17 que são sombras das coisas vindouras; mas o corpo é de Cristo.
18 Nor let anyone disqualify you,taking pleasure in a subservience and devotion to the angels, ‘taking possession’ of things that he has notseen, being puffed up by his carnal mind to no useful purpose,
18 Ninguém atue como árbitro contra vós, afetando humildade ou culto aos anjos, firmando-se em coisas que tenha visto, inchado vãmente pelo seu entendimento carnal,
19 and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, supported and held together by its joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.
19 e não retendo a Cabeça, da qual todo o corpo, provido e organizado pelas juntas e ligaduras, vai crescendo com o aumento concedido por Deus.
20 Now then, since you died with Christ away from the basic principles of the world, why, as though still living in it, are you subjecting yourselvesto regulations
20 Se morrestes com Cristo quanto aos rudimentos do mundo, por que vos sujeitais ainda a ordenanças, como se vivêsseis no mundo,
21 —Don't handle! Don't taste! Don't touch!—
21 tais como: não toques, não proves, não manuseies
22 (all of which result in corruption through overuse)according to the commands and teachings of men?
22 {as quais coisas todas hão de perecer pelo uso}, segundo os preceitos e doutrinas dos homens?
23 Such things do indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-made religion and subservience and asceticism, but are not of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.
23 As quais têm, na verdade, alguma aparência de sabedoria em culto voluntário, humildade fingida, e severidade para com o corpo, mas não têm valor algum no combate contra a satisfação da carne.
