3 For|strong="G1063" I|strong="G1473" could wish that|strong="G2172" myself|strong="G0846" were|strong="G1511" accursed|strong="G0331" from|strong="G0575" Christ|strong="G5547" for|strong="G5228" my|strong="G3450" brethren|strong="G0080", my|strong="G3450" kinsmen|strong="G4773" according to|strong="G2596" the flesh|strong="G4561":
4 Who|strong="G3748" are|strong="G1526" Israelites|strong="G2475"; to whom|strong="G3739" pertaineth the adoption|strong="G5206", and|strong="G2532" the glory|strong="G1391", and|strong="G2532" the covenants|strong="G1242", and|strong="G2532" the giving of the law|strong="G3548", and|strong="G2532" the service|strong="G2999" of God, and|strong="G2532" the promises|strong="G1860";
5 Whose|strong="G3739" are the fathers|strong="G3962", and|strong="G2532" of|strong="G1537" whom|strong="G3739" as concerning|strong="G2596" the flesh|strong="G4561" Christ|strong="G5547" came, who is|strong="G5607" over|strong="G1909" all|strong="G3956", God|strong="G2316" blessed|strong="G2128" for|strong="G1519" ever|strong="G0165". 6 Not|strong="G3756" as though|strong="G3634" the word|strong="G3056" of God|strong="G2316" hath taken none effect|strong="G1601". For|strong="G1063" they|strong="G3778" are not|strong="G3756" all|strong="G3956" Israel|strong="G2474", which are|strong="G3588" of|strong="G1537" Israel|strong="G2474":
7 Neither|strong="G3761", because|strong="G3754" they are|strong="G1526" the seed|strong="G4690" of Abraham|strong="G0011", are they all|strong="G3956" children|strong="G5043": but|strong="G0235", In|strong="G1722" Isaac|strong="G2464" shall|strong="G2564" thy|strong="G4671" seed|strong="G4690" be called|strong="G2564".
8 That|strong="G5124" is|strong="G2076", They which are the children|strong="G5043" of the flesh|strong="G4561", these|strong="G5023" are not|strong="G3756" the children|strong="G5043" of God|strong="G2316": but|strong="G0235" the children|strong="G5043" of the promise|strong="G1860" are counted|strong="G3049" for|strong="G1519" the seed|strong="G4690".
9 For|strong="G1063" this|strong="G3778" is the word|strong="G3056" of promise|strong="G1860", At|strong="G2596" this|strong="G5126" time|strong="G2540" will I come|strong="G2064", and|strong="G2532" Sara|strong="G4564" shall have|strong="G2071" a son|strong="G5207".

11 (For|strong="G1063" the children being|strong="G1080" not yet|strong="G3380" born|strong="G1080", neither|strong="G3366" having done|strong="G4238" any|strong="G5100" good|strong="G0018" or|strong="G2228" evil|strong="G2556", that|strong="G2443" the purpose|strong="G4286" of God|strong="G2316" according to|strong="G2596" election|strong="G1589" might stand|strong="G3306", not|strong="G3756" of|strong="G1537" works|strong="G2041", but|strong="G0235" of|strong="G1537" him that calleth|strong="G2564";)
12 It was said|strong="G4483" unto her|strong="G0846", The elder|strong="G3187" shall serve|strong="G1398" the younger|strong="G1640".
13 As|strong="G2531" it is written|strong="G1125", Jacob|strong="G2384" have I loved|strong="G0025", but|strong="G1161" Esau|strong="G2269" have I hated|strong="G3404".
14 What|strong="G5101" shall we say|strong="G2046" then|strong="G3767"? Is there unrighteousness|strong="G0093" with|strong="G3844" God|strong="G2316"? God forbid|strong="G1096".
15 For|strong="G1063" he saith|strong="G3004" to Moses|strong="G3475", I will have mercy on|strong="G1653" whom|strong="G3739" I will have mercy|strong="G1653", and|strong="G2532" I will have compassion on|strong="G3627" whom|strong="G3739" I will have compassion|strong="G3627".
16 So|strong="G0686" then|strong="G3767" it is not|strong="G3756" of him that willeth|strong="G2309", nor|strong="G3761" of him that runneth|strong="G5143", but|strong="G0235" of God|strong="G2316" that sheweth mercy|strong="G1653".

Shall|strong="G2046" the thing formed|strong="G4110" say|strong="G2046" to him that formed|strong="G4111" it, Why|strong="G5101" hast thou made|strong="G4160" me|strong="G3165" thus|strong="G3779"?
21 Hath|strong="G2192" not|strong="G3756" the potter|strong="G2763" power|strong="G1849" over the clay|strong="G4081", of|strong="G1537" the same|strong="G0846" lump|strong="G5445" to make|strong="G4160" one|strong="G3303" vessel|strong="G4632" unto|strong="G1519" honour|strong="G5092", and|strong="G1161" another|strong="G3739" unto|strong="G1519" dishonour|strong="G0819"?
22 What if|strong="G1487" God|strong="G2316", willing|strong="G2309" to shew|strong="G1731" his wrath|strong="G3709", and|strong="G2532" to make|strong="G1107" his|strong="G0846" power|strong="G1415" known|strong="G1107", endured|strong="G5342" with|strong="G1722" much|strong="G4183" longsuffering|strong="G3115" the vessels|strong="G4632" of wrath|strong="G3709" fitted|strong="G2675" to|strong="G1519" destruction|strong="G0684":
23 And|strong="G2532" that|strong="G2443" he might make known|strong="G1107" the riches|strong="G4149" of his|strong="G0846" glory|strong="G1391" on|strong="G1909" the vessels|strong="G4632" of mercy|strong="G1656", which|strong="G3739" he had afore prepared|strong="G4282" unto|strong="G1519" glory|strong="G1391",
24 Even|strong="G2532" us|strong="G2248", whom|strong="G3739" he hath called|strong="G2564", not|strong="G3756" of|strong="G1537" the Jews|strong="G2453" only|strong="G3440", but|strong="G0235" also|strong="G2532" of|strong="G1537" the Gentiles|strong="G1484"?
25 As|strong="G5613" he saith|strong="G3004" also|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" Osee|strong="G5617", I will call|strong="G2564" them|strong="G3588" my|strong="G3450" people|strong="G2992", which were|strong="G3588" not|strong="G3756" my|strong="G3450" people|strong="G2992"; and|strong="G2532" her|strong="G3588" beloved|strong="G0025", which was|strong="G3588" not|strong="G3756" beloved|strong="G0025".
26 And|strong="G2532" it shall come to pass|strong="G2071", that in|strong="G1722" the place|strong="G5117" where|strong="G3739" it was said|strong="G4483" unto them|strong="G0846", Ye|strong="G5210" are not|strong="G3756" my|strong="G3450" people|strong="G2992"; there|strong="G1563" shall they be called|strong="G2564" the children|strong="G5207" of the|strong="G2316" living|strong="G2198" God|strong="G2316".
27 Esaias|strong="G2268" also|strong="G1161" crieth|strong="G2896" concerning|strong="G5228" Israel|strong="G2474", Though|strong="G1437" the number|strong="G0706" of the children|strong="G5207" of Israel|strong="G2474" be|strong="G5600" as|strong="G5613" the sand|strong="G0285" of the sea|strong="G2281", a remnant|strong="G2640" shall be saved|strong="G4982":
28 For|strong="G1063" he will finish|strong="G4931" the work|strong="G3056", and|strong="G2532" cut|strong="G4932" it short|strong="G4932" in|strong="G1722" righteousness|strong="G1343": because|strong="G3754" a|strong="G3056" short|strong="G4932" work|strong="G3056" will|strong="G4160" the Lord|strong="G2962" make|strong="G4160" upon|strong="G1909" the earth|strong="G1093".
29 And|strong="G2532" as|strong="G2531" Esaias|strong="G2268" said before|strong="G4280", Except|strong="G3361" the Lord|strong="G2962" of Sabaoth|strong="G4519" had left|strong="G1459" us|strong="G2254" a seed|strong="G4690", we had been|strong="G1096" as|strong="G5613" Sodoma|strong="G4670", and|strong="G2532" been made like|strong="G3666" unto Gomorrha|strong="G1116".
30 What|strong="G5101" shall we say|strong="G2046" then|strong="G3767"? That|strong="G3754" the Gentiles|strong="G1484", which followed|strong="G1377" not|strong="G3361" after|strong="G1377" righteousness|strong="G1343", have attained to|strong="G2638" righteousness|strong="G1343", even|strong="G1161" the righteousness|strong="G1343" which is|strong="G3588" of|strong="G1537" faith|strong="G4102".
31 But|strong="G1161" Israel|strong="G2474", which followed after|strong="G1377" the law|strong="G3551" of righteousness|strong="G1343", hath|strong="G5348" not|strong="G3756" attained|strong="G5348" to|strong="G1519" the law|strong="G3551" of righteousness|strong="G1343".
32 Wherefore|strong="G5101"? Because|strong="G3754" they sought it not|strong="G3756" by|strong="G1537" faith|strong="G4102", but|strong="G0235" as it were|strong="G5613" by|strong="G1537" the works|strong="G2041" of the law|strong="G3551". For|strong="G1063" they stumbled|strong="G4350" at that|strong="G3037" stumblingstone|strong="G4348";
33 As|strong="G2531" it is written|strong="G1125", Behold|strong="G2400", I lay|strong="G5087" in|strong="G1722" Sion|strong="G4622" a stumblingstone|strong="G4348" and|strong="G2532" rock|strong="G4073" of offence|strong="G4625": and|strong="G2532" whosoever|strong="G3956" believeth|strong="G4100" on|strong="G1909" him|strong="G0846" shall|strong="G2617" not|strong="G3756" be ashamed|strong="G2617".
