1 Ouçam, meus filhos, a instrução de um pai; estejam atentos, e obterão discernimento.
2 For I give|strong="H5414" you good|strong="H2896" doctrine|strong="H3948", forsake|strong="H5800" ye not my law|strong="H8451".
2 O ensino que lhes ofereço é bom; por isso não abandonem a minha instrução.
3 For I was my father’s|strong="H0001" son|strong="H1121", tender|strong="H7390" and only|strong="H3173" beloved in the sight|strong="H6440" of my mother|strong="H0517".
3 Quando eu era menino, ainda pequeno, em companhia de meu pai, um filho muito especial para minha mãe,

6 Não abandone a sabedoria, e ela o protegerá; ame-a, e ela cuidará de você.
7 Wisdom|strong="H2451" is the principal thing|strong="H7225"; therefore get|strong="H7069" wisdom|strong="H2451": and with all thy getting|strong="H7075" get understanding|strong="H0998".
7 O conselho da sabedoria é: procure obter sabedoria; use tudo que você possui para adquirir entendimento.
8 Exalt|strong="H5549" her, and she shall promote|strong="H7311" thee: she shall bring thee to honour|strong="H3513", when thou dost embrace|strong="H2263" her.
8 Dedique alta estima à sabedoria, e ela o exaltará; abrace-a, e ela o honrará.
9 She shall give|strong="H5414" to thine head|strong="H7218" an ornament|strong="H3880" of grace|strong="H2580": a crown|strong="H5850" of glory|strong="H8597" shall she deliver|strong="H4042" to thee.
9 Ela porá um belo diadema sobre a sua cabeça e lhe dará de presente uma coroa de esplendor".

10 Ouça, meu filho, e aceite o que digo, e você terá vida longa.
11 I have taught|strong="H3384" thee in the way|strong="H1870" of wisdom|strong="H2451"; I have led|strong="H1869" thee in right|strong="H3476" paths|strong="H4570".
11 Eu o conduzi pelo caminho da sabedoria e o encaminhei por veredas retas.
12 When thou goest|strong="H3212", thy steps|strong="H6806" shall not be straitened|strong="H3334"; and when thou runnest|strong="H7323", thou shalt not stumble|strong="H3782".
12 Assim, quando você por elas seguir, não encontrará obstáculos; quando correr, não tropeçará.
13 Take fast hold|strong="H2388" of instruction|strong="H4148"; let her not go|strong="H7503": keep|strong="H5341" her; for she is thy life|strong="H2416".
13 Apegue-se à instrução, não a abandone; guarde-a bem, pois dela depende a sua vida.
14 Enter|strong="H0935" not into the path|strong="H0734" of the wicked|strong="H7563", and go|strong="H0833" not in the way|strong="H1870" of evil|strong="H7451" men.
14 Não siga pela vereda dos ímpios nem ande no caminho dos maus.
15 Avoid|strong="H6544" it, pass|strong="H5674" not by it, turn|strong="H7847" from it, and pass away|strong="H5674".
15 Evite-o, não passe por ele; afaste-se e não se detenha.
16 For they sleep|strong="H3462" not, except they have done mischief|strong="H7489"; and their sleep|strong="H8142" is taken away|strong="H1497", unless they cause some to fall|strong="H3782".
16 Pois eles não conseguem dormir enquanto não fazem o mal; perdem o sono se não causarem a ruína de alguém.
17 For they eat|strong="H3898" the bread|strong="H3899" of wickedness|strong="H7562", and drink|strong="H8354" the wine|strong="H3196" of violence|strong="H2555".
17 Pois eles se alimentam de maldade, e se embriagam de violência.
18 But the path|strong="H0734" of the just|strong="H6662" is as the shining|strong="H5051" light|strong="H0216", that shineth|strong="H0215" more|strong="H1980" and more unto the perfect|strong="H3559" day|strong="H3117".
18 A vereda do justo é como a luz da alvorada, que brilha cada vez mais até à plena claridade do dia.
19 The way|strong="H1870" of the wicked|strong="H7563" is as darkness|strong="H0653": they know|strong="H3045" not at what they stumble|strong="H3782".
19 Mas o caminho dos ímpios é como densas trevas; nem sequer sabem em que tropeçam.
20 My son|strong="H1121", attend|strong="H7181" to my words|strong="H1697"; incline|strong="H5186" thine ear|strong="H0241" unto my sayings|strong="H0561".
20 Meu filho, escute o que lhe digo; preste atenção às minhas palavras.
21 Let them not depart|strong="H3868" from thine eyes|strong="H5869"; keep|strong="H8104" them in the midst|strong="H8432" of thine heart|strong="H3824".
21 Nunca as perca de vista; guarde-as no fundo do coração,
22 For they are life|strong="H2416" unto those that find|strong="H4672" them, and health|strong="H4832" to all their flesh|strong="H1320".
22 pois são vida para quem as encontra e saúde para todo o seu ser.
23 Keep|strong="H5341" thy heart|strong="H3820" with all diligence|strong="H4929"; for out of it are the issues|strong="H8444" of life|strong="H2416".
23 Acima de tudo, guarde o seu coração, pois dele depende toda a sua vida.

24 Afaste da sua boca as palavras perversas; fique longe dos seus lábios a maldade.
25 Let thine eyes|strong="H5869" look|strong="H5027" right on|strong="H5227", and let thine eyelids|strong="H6079" look straight|strong="H3474" before thee.
25 Olhe sempre para a frente, mantenha o olhar fixo no que está adiante de você.
26 Ponder|strong="H6424" the path|strong="H4570" of thy feet|strong="H7272", and let all thy ways|strong="H1870" be established|strong="H3559".
26 Veja bem por onde anda, e os seus passos serão seguros.
27 Turn|strong="H5186" not to the right hand|strong="H3225" nor to the left|strong="H8040": remove|strong="H5493" thy foot|strong="H7272" from evil|strong="H7451".
27 Não se desvie nem para a direita nem para a esquerda; afaste os seus pés da maldade.
