Provérbios 5

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

My son|strong="H1121", attend|strong="H7181" unto my wisdom|strong="H2451", and bow|strong="H5186" thine ear|strong="H0241" to my understanding|strong="H8394":

That thou mayest regard|strong="H8104" discretion|strong="H4209", and that thy lips|strong="H8193" may keep|strong="H5341" knowledge|strong="H1847".

For the lips|strong="H8193" of a strange woman|strong="H2114" drop|strong="H5197" as an honeycomb|strong="H5317", and her mouth|strong="H2441" is smoother|strong="H2509" than oil|strong="H8081":

But her end|strong="H0319" is bitter|strong="H4751" as wormwood|strong="H3939", sharp|strong="H2299" as a twoedged|strong="H6310" sword|strong="H2719".

Her feet|strong="H7272" go down|strong="H3381" to death|strong="H4194"; her steps|strong="H6806" take hold|strong="H8551" on hell|strong="H7585".

Lest thou shouldest ponder|strong="H6424" the path|strong="H0734" of life|strong="H2416", her ways|strong="H4570" are moveable|strong="H5128", that thou canst not know|strong="H3045" them.

Hear|strong="H8085" me now therefore, O ye children|strong="H1121", and depart|strong="H5493" not from the words|strong="H0561" of my mouth|strong="H6310".

Remove|strong="H7368" thy way|strong="H1870" far|strong="H7368" from her, and come not nigh|strong="H7126" the door|strong="H6607" of her house|strong="H1004":

Lest thou give|strong="H5414" thine honour|strong="H1935" unto others|strong="H0312", and thy years|strong="H8141" unto the cruel|strong="H0394":

Lest strangers|strong="H2114" be filled|strong="H7646" with thy wealth|strong="H3581"; and thy labours|strong="H6089" be in the house|strong="H1004" of a stranger|strong="H5237";

And thou mourn|strong="H5098" at the last|strong="H0319", when thy flesh|strong="H1320" and thy body|strong="H7607" are consumed|strong="H3615",

And say|strong="H0559", How have I hated|strong="H8130" instruction|strong="H4148", and my heart|strong="H3820" despised|strong="H5006" reproof|strong="H8433";

And have not obeyed|strong="H8085" the voice|strong="H6963" of my teachers|strong="H3384", nor inclined|strong="H5186" mine ear|strong="H0241" to them that instructed|strong="H3925" me!

I was almost|strong="H4592" in all evil|strong="H7451" in the midst|strong="H8432" of the congregation|strong="H6951" and assembly|strong="H5712".

Drink|strong="H8354" waters|strong="H4325" out of thine own cistern|strong="H0953", and running waters|strong="H5140" out of|strong="H8432" thine own well|strong="H0875".

Let thy fountains|strong="H4599" be dispersed|strong="H6327" abroad|strong="H2351", and rivers|strong="H6388" of waters|strong="H4325" in the streets|strong="H7339".

Let them be only thine own, and not strangers’|strong="H2114" with thee.

Let thy fountain|strong="H4726" be blessed|strong="H1288": and rejoice|strong="H8055" with the wife|strong="H0802" of thy youth|strong="H5271".

Let her be as the loving|strong="H0158" hind|strong="H0365" and pleasant|strong="H2580" roe|strong="H3280"; let her breasts|strong="H1717" satisfy|strong="H7301" thee at all times|strong="H6256"; and be thou ravished|strong="H7686" always|strong="H8548" with her love|strong="H0160".

And why wilt thou, my son|strong="H1121", be ravished|strong="H7686" with a strange woman|strong="H2114", and embrace|strong="H2263" the bosom|strong="H2436" of a stranger|strong="H5237"?

For the ways|strong="H1870" of man|strong="H0376" are before|strong="H5227" the eyes|strong="H5869" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and he pondereth|strong="H6424" all his goings|strong="H4570".

His own iniquities|strong="H5771" shall take|strong="H3920" the wicked|strong="H7563" himself, and he shall be holden|strong="H8551" with the cords|strong="H2256" of his sins|strong="H2403".

He shall die|strong="H4191" without instruction|strong="H4148"; and in the greatness|strong="H7230" of his folly|strong="H0200" he shall go astray|strong="H7686".
