1 Hear|strong="H8085" the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, ye children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478": for the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath a controversy|strong="H7379" with the inhabitants|strong="H3427" of the land|strong="H0776", because there is no truth|strong="H0571", nor mercy|strong="H2617", nor knowledge|strong="H1847" of God|strong="H0430" in the land|strong="H0776".
1 Ouvi a palavra do Senhor, vós, filhos de Israel; pois o Senhor tem uma contenda com os habitantes da terra; porque na terra não há verdade, nem benignidade, nem conhecimento de Deus.
2 By swearing|strong="H0422", and lying|strong="H3584", and killing|strong="H7523", and stealing|strong="H1589", and committing adultery|strong="H5003", they break out|strong="H6555", and blood|strong="H1818" toucheth|strong="H5060" blood|strong="H1818".
2 Só prevalecem o perjurar, o mentir, o matar, o furtar, e o adulterar; há violências e homicídios sobre homicídios.
3 Therefore shall the land|strong="H0776" mourn|strong="H0056", and every one that dwelleth|strong="H3427" therein shall languish|strong="H0535", with the beasts|strong="H2416" of the field|strong="H7704", and with the fowls|strong="H5775" of heaven|strong="H8064"; yea, the fishes|strong="H1709" of the sea|strong="H3220" also shall be taken away|strong="H0622".
3 Por isso a terra se lamenta, e todo o que nela mora desfalece, juntamente com os animais do campo e com as aves do céu; e até os peixes do mar perecem.
4 Yet let no man|strong="H0376" strive|strong="H7378", nor reprove|strong="H3198" another|strong="H0376": for thy people|strong="H5971" are as they that strive|strong="H7378" with the priest|strong="H3548".
4 Todavia ninguém contenda, ninguém repreenda; pois é contigo a minha contenda, ó sacerdote.
5 Therefore shalt thou fall|strong="H3782" in the day|strong="H3117", and the prophet|strong="H5030" also shall fall|strong="H3782" with thee in the night|strong="H3915", and I will destroy|strong="H1820" thy mother|strong="H0517".
5 Por isso tu tropeçarás de dia, e o profeta contigo tropeçará de noite; e destruirei a tua mãe.
6 My people|strong="H5971" are destroyed|strong="H1820" for lack of knowledge|strong="H1847": because thou hast rejected|strong="H3988" knowledge|strong="H1847", I will also reject|strong="H3988" thee, that thou shalt be no priest|strong="H3547" to me: seeing thou hast forgotten|strong="H7911" the law|strong="H8451" of thy God|strong="H0430", I will also forget|strong="H7911" thy children|strong="H1121".
6 O meu povo está sendo destruído, porque lhe falta o conhecimento. Porquanto rejeitaste o conhecimento, também eu te rejeitarei, para que não sejas sacerdote diante de mim; visto que te esqueceste da lei do teu Deus, também eu me esquecerei de teus filhos.
7 As they were increased|strong="H7230", so they sinned|strong="H2398" against me: therefore will I change|strong="H4171" their glory|strong="H3519" into shame|strong="H7036".
7 Quanto mais eles se multiplicaram tanto mais contra mim pecaram: eu mudarei a sua honra em vergonha.
8 They eat up|strong="H0398" the sin|strong="H2403" of my people|strong="H5971", and they set|strong="H5375" their heart|strong="H5315" on their iniquity|strong="H5771".
8 Alimentavam-se do pecado do meu povo, e de coração desejam a iniqüidade dele.
9 And there shall be, like people|strong="H5971", like priest|strong="H3548": and I will punish|strong="H6485" them for their ways|strong="H1870", and reward|strong="H7725" them their doings|strong="H4611".
9 Por isso, como é o povo, assim será o sacerdote; e castigá-lo-ei conforme os seus caminhos, e lhe darei a recompensa das suas obras.
10 For they shall eat|strong="H0398", and not have enough|strong="H7646": they shall commit whoredom|strong="H2181", and shall not increase|strong="H6555": because they have left off|strong="H5800" to take heed|strong="H8104" to the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
10 Comerão, mas não se fartarão; entregar-se-ão à luxúria, mas não se multiplicarão; porque deixaram de atentar para o Senhor.
11 Whoredom|strong="H2184" and wine|strong="H3196" and new wine|strong="H8492" take away|strong="H3947" the heart|strong="H3820".
11 A incontinência, e o vinho, e o mosto tiram o entendimento.
12 My people|strong="H5971" ask|strong="H7592" counsel at their stocks|strong="H6086", and their staff|strong="H4731" declareth|strong="H5046" unto them: for the spirit|strong="H7307" of whoredoms|strong="H2183" hath caused them to err|strong="H8582", and they have gone a whoring|strong="H2181" from under their God|strong="H0430".
12 O meu povo consulta ao seu pau, e a sua vara lhe dá respostas, porque o espírito de luxúria os enganou, e eles, prostituindo-se, abandonam o seu Deus.
13 They sacrifice|strong="H2076" upon the tops|strong="H7218" of the mountains|strong="H2022", and burn incense|strong="H6999" upon the hills|strong="H1389", under oaks|strong="H0437" and poplars|strong="H3839" and elms|strong="H0424", because the shadow|strong="H6738" thereof is good|strong="H2896": therefore your daughters|strong="H1323" shall commit whoredom|strong="H2181", and your spouses|strong="H3618" shall commit adultery|strong="H5003".
13 Sacrificam sobre os cumes dos montes; e queimam incenso sobre os outeiros, debaixo do carvalho, do álamo, e do terebinto, porque é boa a sua sombra; por isso vossas filhas se prostituem, e as vossas noras adulteram.
14 I will not punish|strong="H6485" your daughters|strong="H1323" when they commit whoredom|strong="H2181", nor your spouses|strong="H3618" when they commit adultery|strong="H5003": for themselves are separated|strong="H6504" with whores|strong="H2181", and they sacrifice|strong="H2076" with harlots|strong="H6948": therefore the people|strong="H5971" that doth not understand|strong="H0995" shall fall|strong="H3832".
14 Eu não castigarei vossas filhas, quando se prostituem, nem vossas noras, quando adulteram; porque os homens mesmos com as prostitutas se desviam, e com as meretrizes sacrificam; pois o povo que não tem entendimento será transtornado.
15 Though thou, Israel|strong="H3478", play the harlot|strong="H2181", yet let not Judah|strong="H3063" offend|strong="H0816"; and come|strong="H0935" not ye unto Gilgal|strong="H1537", neither go ye up|strong="H5927" to Beth-aven|strong="H1007", nor swear|strong="H7650", The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* liveth|strong="H2416".
15 Ainda que tu, ó Israel, te queiras prostituir contudo não se faça culpado Judá; não venhais a Gilgal, e não subais a Bete-Ávem nem jureis, dizendo: Vive o Senhor.
16 For Israel|strong="H3478" slideth back|strong="H5637" as a backsliding|strong="H5637" heifer|strong="H6510": now the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* will feed|strong="H7462" them as a lamb|strong="H3532" in a large place|strong="H4800".
16 Porque como novilha obstinada se rebelou Israel; agora o Senhor os apascentará como a um cordeiro num lugar espaçoso.
17 Ephraim|strong="H0669" is joined|strong="H2266" to idols|strong="H6091": let him alone|strong="H3240".
17 Efraim está entregue aos ídolos; deixa-o.
18 Their drink|strong="H5435" is sour|strong="H5493": they have committed whoredom|strong="H2181" continually|strong="H2181": her rulers|strong="H4043" with shame|strong="H7036" do love|strong="H0157", Give|strong="H3051" ye.
18 Acabando eles de beber, lançam-se à luxúria; certamente os seus príncipes amam a vergonha.
19 The wind|strong="H7307" hath bound her up|strong="H6887" in her wings|strong="H3671", and they shall be ashamed|strong="H0954" because of their sacrifices|strong="H2077".
19 Um vento os envolveu nas suas asas; e eles se envergonharão por causa dos seus sacrifícios.
