Oséias 5

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Hear|strong="H8085" ye this, O priests|strong="H3548"; and hearken|strong="H7181", ye house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478"; and give ye ear|strong="H0238", O house|strong="H1004" of the king|strong="H4428"; for judgment|strong="H4941" is toward you, because ye have been a snare|strong="H6341" on Mizpah|strong="H4709", and a net|strong="H7568" spread|strong="H6566" upon Tabor|strong="H8396".

And the revolters|strong="H7846" are profound|strong="H6009" to make slaughter|strong="H7819", though I have been a rebuker|strong="H4148" of them all.

I know|strong="H3045" Ephraim|strong="H0669", and Israel|strong="H3478" is not hid|strong="H3582" from me: for now, O Ephraim|strong="H0669", thou committest whoredom|strong="H2181", and Israel|strong="H3478" is defiled|strong="H2930".

They will not frame|strong="H5414" their doings|strong="H4611" to turn|strong="H7725" unto their God|strong="H0430": for the spirit|strong="H7307" of whoredoms|strong="H2183" is in the midst|strong="H7130" of them, and they have not known|strong="H3045" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.

And the pride|strong="H1347" of Israel|strong="H3478" doth testify|strong="H6030" to his face|strong="H6440": therefore shall Israel|strong="H3478" and Ephraim|strong="H0669" fall|strong="H3782" in their iniquity|strong="H5771"; Judah|strong="H3063" also shall fall|strong="H3782" with them.

They shall go|strong="H3212" with their flocks|strong="H6629" and with their herds|strong="H1241" to seek|strong="H1245" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; but they shall not find|strong="H4672" him; he hath withdrawn|strong="H2502" himself from them.

They have dealt treacherously|strong="H0898" against the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: for they have begotten|strong="H3205" strange|strong="H2114" children|strong="H1121": now shall a month|strong="H2320" devour|strong="H0398" them with their portions|strong="H2506".

Blow|strong="H8628" ye the cornet|strong="H7782" in Gibeah|strong="H1390", and the trumpet|strong="H2689" in Ramah|strong="H7414": cry aloud|strong="H7321" at Beth-aven|strong="H1007", after|strong="H0310" thee, O Benjamin|strong="H1144".

Ephraim|strong="H0669" shall be desolate|strong="H8047" in the day|strong="H3117" of rebuke|strong="H8433": among the tribes|strong="H7626" of Israel|strong="H3478" have I made known|strong="H3045" that which shall surely be|strong="H0539".

The princes|strong="H8269" of Judah|strong="H3063" were like them that remove|strong="H5253" the bound|strong="H1366": therefore I will pour out|strong="H8210" my wrath|strong="H5678" upon them like water|strong="H4325".

Ephraim|strong="H0669" is oppressed|strong="H6231" and broken|strong="H7533" in judgment|strong="H4941", because he willingly|strong="H2974" walked|strong="H1980" after|strong="H0310" the commandment|strong="H6673".

Therefore will I be unto Ephraim|strong="H0669" as a moth|strong="H6211", and to the house|strong="H1004" of Judah|strong="H3063" as rottenness|strong="H7538".

When Ephraim|strong="H0669" saw|strong="H7200" his sickness|strong="H2483", and Judah|strong="H3063" saw his wound|strong="H4205", then went|strong="H3212" Ephraim|strong="H0669" to the Assyrian|strong="H0804", and sent|strong="H7971" to king|strong="H4428" Jareb|strong="H3377": yet could|strong="H3201" he not heal|strong="H7495" you, nor cure|strong="H1455" you of your wound|strong="H4205".

For I will be unto Ephraim|strong="H0669" as a lion|strong="H7826", and as a young lion|strong="H3715" to the house|strong="H1004" of Judah|strong="H3063": I, even I, will tear|strong="H2963" and go away|strong="H3212"; I will take away|strong="H5375", and none shall rescue|strong="H5337" him.

I will go|strong="H3212" and return|strong="H7725" to my place|strong="H4725", till they acknowledge their offence|strong="H0816", and seek|strong="H1245" my face|strong="H6440": in their affliction|strong="H6862" they will seek me early|strong="H7836".
