1 Ora, dali a dois dias era a páscoa e a festa dos pães ázimos; e os principais sacerdotes e os escribas andavam buscando como prender Jesus a traição, para o matarem.

2 Pois eles diziam: Não durante a festa, para que não haja tumulto entre o povo.

3 Estando ele em Betânia, reclinado à mesa em casa de Simão, o leproso, veio uma mulher que trazia um vaso de alabastro cheio de bálsamo de nardo puro, de grande preço; e, quebrando o vaso, derramou-lhe sobre a cabeça o bálsamo.

4 Mas alguns houve que em si mesmos se indignaram e disseram: Para que se fez este desperdício do bálsamo?
5 For|strong="G1063" it|strong="G5124" might|strong="G1410" have been sold|strong="G4097" for more than|strong="G1883" three hundred|strong="G5145" pence|strong="G1220", and|strong="G2532" have been given|strong="G1325" to the poor|strong="G4434". 5 Pois podia ser vendido por mais de trezentos denários que se dariam aos pobres. E bramavam contra ela.

6 Jesus, porém, disse: Deixai-a; por que a molestais? Ela praticou uma boa ação para comigo.

7 Porquanto os pobres sempre os tendes convosco e, quando quiserdes, podeis fazer-lhes bem; a mim, porém, nem sempre me tendes.

9 Em verdade vos digo que, em todo o mundo, onde quer que for pregado o evangelho, também o que ela fez será contado para memória sua.

10 Então Judas Iscariotes, um dos doze, foi ter com os principais sacerdotes para lhes entregar Jesus.

12 Ora, no primeiro dia dos pães ázimos, quando imolavam a páscoa, disseram-lhe seus discípulos: Aonde queres que vamos fazer os preparativos para comeres a páscoa?

13 Enviou, pois, dois dos seus discípulos, e disse-lhes: Ide à cidade, e vos sairá ao encontro um homem levando um cântaro de água; seguí-o;

15 E ele vos mostrará um grande cenáculo mobiliado e pronto; aí fazei-nos os preparativos.
16 And|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101" went forth|strong="G1831", and|strong="G2532" came|strong="G2064" into|strong="G1519" the city|strong="G4172", and|strong="G2532" found|strong="G2147" as|strong="G2531" he had said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846": and|strong="G2532" they made ready|strong="G2090" the passover|strong="G3957".
16 Partindo, pois, os discípulos, foram à cidade, onde acharam tudo como ele lhes dissera, e prepararam a páscoa.
17 And|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1096" the evening|strong="G3798" he cometh|strong="G2064" with|strong="G3326" the twelve|strong="G1427".
17 Ao anoitecer chegou ele com os doze.
18 And|strong="G2532" as they|strong="G0846" sat|strong="G0345" and|strong="G2532" did eat|strong="G2068", Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G2036", \+w Verily|strong="G0281"\+w* \+w I say|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w*, \+w One|strong="G1520"\+w* \+w of|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5216"\+w* \+w which|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w eateth|strong="G2068"\+w* \+w with|strong="G3326"\+w* \+w me|strong="G1700"\+w* \+w shall betray|strong="G3860"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3165"\+w*.
18 E, quando estavam reclinados à mesa e comiam, disse Jesus: Em verdade vos digo que um de vós, que comigo come, há de trair-me.
19 And|strong="G1161" they began|strong="G0756" to be sorrowful|strong="G3076", and|strong="G2532" to say|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846" one|strong="G1520" by|strong="G2596" one|strong="G1520", Is it|strong="G3385" I|strong="G1473"? and|strong="G2532" another|strong="G0243" said, Is it|strong="G3385" I|strong="G1473"?
19 Ao que eles começaram a entristecer-se e a perguntar-lhe um após outro: Porventura sou eu?
20 And|strong="G1161" he answered|strong="G0611" and said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+add It is\+add* \+w one|strong="G1520"\+w* \+w of|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w the twelve|strong="G1427"\+w*, \+w that|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w dippeth|strong="G1686"\+w* \+w with|strong="G3326"\+w* \+w me|strong="G1700"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the dish|strong="G5165"\+w*.
20 Respondeu-lhes: É um dos doze, que mete comigo a mão no prato.
21 \+w The Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w indeed|strong="G3303"\+w* \+w goeth|strong="G5217"\+w*, \+w as|strong="G2531"\+w* \+w it is written|strong="G1125"\+w* \+w of|strong="G4012"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w*: \+w but|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w woe|strong="G3759"\+w* \+w to that|strong="G1565"\+w* \+w man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w by|strong="G1223"\+w* \+w whom|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w is betrayed|strong="G3860"\+w*! \+w good|strong="G2570"\+w* \+w were it|strong="G2258"\+w* \+w for that|strong="G1565"\+w* \+w man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w if|strong="G1487"\+w* \+w he|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w had|strong="G1080"\+w* \+w never|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w been born|strong="G1080"\+w*.
21 Pois o Filho do homem vai, conforme está escrito a seu respeito; mas ai daquele por quem o Filho do homem é traído! bom seria para esse homem se não houvera nascido.
22 And|strong="G2532" as they|strong="G0846" did eat|strong="G2068", Jesus|strong="G2424" took|strong="G2983" bread|strong="G0740", and blessed|strong="G2127", and brake|strong="G2806" it, and|strong="G2532" gave|strong="G1325" to them|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G2036", \+w Take|strong="G2983"\+w*, \+w eat|strong="G5315"\+w*: \+w this|strong="G5124"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w my|strong="G3450"\+w* \+w body|strong="G4983"\+w*.
22 Enquanto comiam, Jesus tomou pão e, abençoando-o, o partiu e deu-lho, dizendo: Tomai; isto é o meu corpo.
23 And|strong="G2532" he took|strong="G2983" the cup|strong="G4221", and when he had given thanks|strong="G2168", he gave|strong="G1325" it to them|strong="G0846": and|strong="G2532" they|strong="G4095" all|strong="G3956" drank|strong="G4095" of|strong="G1537" it|strong="G0846".
23 E tomando um cálice, rendeu graças e deu-lho; e todos beberam dele.
24 And|strong="G2532" he said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w This|strong="G5124"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w my|strong="G3450"\+w* \+w blood|strong="G0129"\+w* \+w of the new|strong="G2537"\+w* \+w testament|strong="G1242"\+w*, \+w which|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w is shed|strong="G1632"\+w* \+w for|strong="G4012"\+w* \+w many|strong="G4183"\+w*.
24 E disse-lhes: Isto é o meu sangue, o sangue do pacto, que por muitos é derramado.

25 Em verdade vos digo que não beberei mais do fruto da videira, até aquele dia em que o beber, novo, no reino de Deus.
26 And|strong="G2532" when they had sung an hymn|strong="G5214", they went out|strong="G1831" into|strong="G1519" the mount|strong="G3735" of Olives|strong="G1636".
26 E, tendo cantado um hino, saíram para o Monte das Oliveiras.
27 And|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" saith|strong="G3004" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w All|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w ye shall be offended|strong="G4624"\+w* \+w because|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w of me|strong="G1698"\+w* \+w this|strong="G3778"\+w* \+w night|strong="G3571"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w it is written|strong="G1125"\+w*, \+w I will smite|strong="G3960"\+w* \+w the shepherd|strong="G4166"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the sheep|strong="G4263"\+w* \+w shall be scattered|strong="G1287"\+w*.
27 Disse-lhes então Jesus: Todos vós vos escandalizareis; porque escrito está: Ferirei o pastor, e as ovelhas se dispersarão.

28 Todavia, depois que eu ressurgir, irei adiante de vós para a Galiléia.

29 Ao que Pedro lhe disse: Ainda que todos se escandalizem, nunca, porém, eu.

30 Replicou-lhe Jesus: Em verdade te digo que hoje, nesta noite, antes que o galo cante duas vezes, três vezes tu me negarás.
31 But|strong="G1161" he spake|strong="G3004" the more|strong="G4053" vehemently|strong="G3123", If|strong="G1437" I|strong="G3165" should|strong="G1163" die|strong="G4880" with|strong="G1537" thee|strong="G4671", I will|strong="G0533" not|strong="G3361" deny|strong="G0533" thee|strong="G4571" in any wise|strong="G5615". Likewise|strong="G1161" also|strong="G2532" said they|strong="G3004" all|strong="G3956".
31 Mas ele repetia com veemência: Ainda que me seja necessário morrer contigo, de modo nenhum te negarei. Assim também diziam todos.
32 And|strong="G2532" they came|strong="G2064" to|strong="G1519" a place|strong="G5564" which was|strong="G3739" named|strong="G3686" Gethsemane|strong="G1068": and|strong="G2532" he saith|strong="G3004" to his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101", \+w Sit ye|strong="G2523"\+w* \+w here|strong="G5602"\+w*, \+w while|strong="G2193"\+w* \+w I shall pray|strong="G4336"\+w*.
32 Então chegaram a um lugar chamado Getsêmani, e disse Jesus a seus discípulos: Sentai-vos aqui, enquanto eu oro.
33 And|strong="G2532" he taketh|strong="G3880" with|strong="G3326" him|strong="G1438" Peter|strong="G4074" and|strong="G2532" James|strong="G2385" and|strong="G2532" John|strong="G2491", and|strong="G2532" began|strong="G0756" to be sore amazed|strong="G1568", and|strong="G2532" to be very heavy|strong="G0085";
33 E levou consigo a Pedro, a Tiago e a João, e começou a ter pavor e a angustiar-se;
34 And|strong="G2532" saith|strong="G3004" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w My|strong="G3450"\+w* \+w soul|strong="G5590"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w exceeding sorrowful|strong="G4036"\+w* \+w unto|strong="G2193"\+w* \+w death|strong="G2288"\+w*: \+w tarry ye|strong="G3306"\+w* \+w here|strong="G5602"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w watch|strong="G1127"\+w*.
34 e disse-lhes: A minha alma está triste até a morte; ficai aqui e vigiai.
35 And|strong="G2532" he went forward|strong="G4281" a little|strong="G3397", and fell|strong="G4098" on|strong="G1909" the ground|strong="G1093", and|strong="G2532" prayed|strong="G4336" that|strong="G2443", if|strong="G1487" it were|strong="G2076" possible|strong="G1415", the hour|strong="G5610" might pass|strong="G3928" from|strong="G0575" him|strong="G0846".
35 E adiantando-se um pouco, prostrou-se em terra; e orava para que, se fosse possível, passasse dele aquela hora.

36 E dizia: Aba, Pai, tudo te é possível; afasta de mim este cálice; todavia não seja o que eu quero, mas o que tu queres.
37 And|strong="G2532" he cometh|strong="G2064", and|strong="G2532" findeth|strong="G2147" them|strong="G0846" sleeping|strong="G2518", and|strong="G2532" saith|strong="G3004" unto Peter|strong="G4074", \+w Simon|strong="G4613"\+w*, \+w sleepest thou|strong="G2518"\+w*? \+w couldest|strong="G2480"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w thou watch|strong="G1127"\+w* \+w one|strong="G1520"\+w* \+w hour|strong="G5610"\+w*?
37 Voltando, achou-os dormindo; e disse a Pedro: Simão, dormes? não pudeste vigiar uma hora?

38 Vigiai e orai, para que não entreis em tentação; o espírito, na verdade, está pronto, mas a carne é fraca.

58 Nós o ouvimos dizer: Eu destruirei este santuário, construído por mãos de homens, e em três dias edificarei outro, não feito por mãos de homens.

61 Ele, porém, permaneceu calado, e nada respondeu. Tornou o sumo sacerdote a interrogá-lo, perguntando-lhe: És tu o Cristo, o Filho do Deus bendito?

70 Mas ele o negou outra vez. E pouco depois os que ali estavam disseram novamente a Pedro: Certamente tu és um deles; pois és também galileu.
