Marcos 15

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

And|strong="G2532" straightway|strong="G2112" in|strong="G1909" the morning|strong="G4404" the chief priests|strong="G0749" held|strong="G4160" a consultation|strong="G4824" with|strong="G3326" the elders|strong="G4245" and|strong="G2532" scribes|strong="G1122" and|strong="G2532" the whole|strong="G3650" council|strong="G4892", and bound|strong="G1210" Jesus|strong="G2424", and carried|strong="G0667" him away|strong="G0667", and|strong="G2532" delivered|strong="G3860" him to Pilate|strong="G4091".

And|strong="G2532" Pilate|strong="G4091" asked|strong="G1905" him|strong="G0846", Art|strong="G1488" thou|strong="G4771" the King|strong="G0935" of the Jews|strong="G2453"? And|strong="G1161" he answering|strong="G0611" said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", \+w Thou|strong="G4771"\+w* \+w sayest|strong="G3004"\+w* \+add it\+add*.

And|strong="G2532" the chief priests|strong="G0749" accused|strong="G2723" him|strong="G0846" of many things|strong="G4183": but he answered nothing.

And|strong="G1161" Pilate|strong="G4091" asked|strong="G1905" him|strong="G0846" again|strong="G3825", saying|strong="G3004", Answerest thou|strong="G0611" nothing|strong="G3762"? behold|strong="G1492" how many things|strong="G4214" they witness against|strong="G2649" thee|strong="G4675".

But|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" yet|strong="G3765" answered|strong="G0611" nothing|strong="G3762"; so that|strong="G5620" Pilate|strong="G4091" marvelled|strong="G2296".

Now|strong="G1161" at|strong="G2596" that feast|strong="G1859" he released|strong="G0630" unto them|strong="G0846" one|strong="G1520" prisoner|strong="G1198", whomsoever|strong="G3746" they desired|strong="G0154".

And|strong="G1161" there was|strong="G2258" one named|strong="G3004" Barabbas|strong="G0912", which lay bound|strong="G1210" with|strong="G3326" them that|strong="G3588" had made insurrection with him|strong="G4955", who|strong="G3748" had committed|strong="G4160" murder|strong="G5408" in|strong="G1722" the insurrection|strong="G4714".

And|strong="G2532" the multitude|strong="G3793" crying aloud|strong="G0310" began|strong="G0756" to desire|strong="G0154" him to do as|strong="G2531" he had|strong="G4160" ever|strong="G0104" done|strong="G4160" unto them|strong="G0846".

But|strong="G1161" Pilate|strong="G4091" answered|strong="G0611" them|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", Will ye|strong="G2309" that I release|strong="G0630" unto you|strong="G5213" the King|strong="G0935" of the Jews|strong="G2453"?

For|strong="G1063" he knew|strong="G1097" that|strong="G3754" the chief priests|strong="G0749" had delivered|strong="G3860" him|strong="G0846" for|strong="G1223" envy|strong="G5355".

But|strong="G1161" the chief priests|strong="G0749" moved|strong="G0383" the people|strong="G3793", that|strong="G2443" he should|strong="G0630" rather|strong="G3123" release|strong="G0630" Barabbas|strong="G0912" unto them|strong="G0846".

And|strong="G1161" Pilate|strong="G4091" answered|strong="G0611" and said|strong="G2036" again|strong="G3825" unto them|strong="G0846", What|strong="G5101" will ye|strong="G2309" then|strong="G3767" that I shall do|strong="G4160" unto him whom|strong="G3739" ye call|strong="G3004" the King|strong="G0935" of the Jews|strong="G2453"?

And|strong="G1161" they cried out|strong="G2896" again|strong="G3825", Crucify|strong="G4717" him|strong="G0846".

Then|strong="G1161" Pilate|strong="G4091" said|strong="G3004" unto them|strong="G0846", Why|strong="G5101", what|strong="G1063" evil|strong="G2556" hath he done|strong="G4160"? And|strong="G1161" they cried out|strong="G2896" the more exceedingly|strong="G4056", Crucify|strong="G4717" him|strong="G0846".

And|strong="G1161" so Pilate|strong="G4091", willing|strong="G1014" to content|strong="G4160" the people|strong="G3793", released|strong="G0630" Barabbas|strong="G0912" unto them|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" delivered|strong="G3860" Jesus|strong="G2424", when he had scourged|strong="G5417" him, to|strong="G2443" be crucified|strong="G4717".

And|strong="G1161" the soldiers|strong="G4757" led|strong="G0520" him|strong="G0846" away|strong="G0520" into|strong="G2080" the hall|strong="G0833", called|strong="G2076" Prætorium|strong="G4232"; and|strong="G2532" they call together|strong="G4779" the whole|strong="G3650" band|strong="G4686".

And|strong="G2532" they clothed|strong="G1746" him|strong="G0846" with purple|strong="G4209", and platted|strong="G4120" a crown|strong="G4735" of thorns|strong="G0174", and|strong="G2532" put it about|strong="G4060" his|strong="G0846" head,

And|strong="G2532" began|strong="G0756" to salute|strong="G0782" him|strong="G0846", Hail|strong="G5463", King|strong="G0935" of the Jews|strong="G2453"!

And|strong="G2532" they smote|strong="G5180" him|strong="G0846" on the head|strong="G2776" with a reed|strong="G2563", and|strong="G2532" did spit|strong="G1716" upon him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" bowing|strong="G5087" their knees|strong="G1119" worshipped|strong="G4352" him|strong="G0846".

And|strong="G2532" when|strong="G3753" they had mocked|strong="G1702" him|strong="G0846", they took off|strong="G1562" the purple|strong="G4209" from|strong="G1562" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" put|strong="G1746" his own|strong="G2398" clothes|strong="G2440" on him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" led|strong="G1806" him|strong="G0846" out|strong="G1806" to|strong="G2443" crucify|strong="G4717" him|strong="G0846".

And|strong="G2532" they compel|strong="G0029" one|strong="G5100" Simon|strong="G4613" a Cyrenian|strong="G2956", who passed by|strong="G3855", coming out|strong="G2064" of|strong="G0575" the country|strong="G0068", the father|strong="G3962" of Alexander|strong="G0223" and|strong="G2532" Rufus|strong="G4504", to|strong="G2443" bear|strong="G0142" his|strong="G0846" cross|strong="G4716".

And|strong="G2532" they bring|strong="G5342" him|strong="G0846" unto|strong="G1909" the place|strong="G5117" Golgotha|strong="G1115", which|strong="G3739" is|strong="G2076", being interpreted|strong="G3177", The place|strong="G5117" of a skull|strong="G2898".

And|strong="G2532" they gave|strong="G1325" him|strong="G0846" to drink|strong="G4095" wine|strong="G3631" mingled with myrrh|strong="G4669": but|strong="G1161" he received|strong="G2983" it not|strong="G3756".

And|strong="G2532" when they had crucified|strong="G4717" him|strong="G0846", they parted|strong="G1266" his|strong="G0846" garments|strong="G2440", casting|strong="G0906" lots|strong="G2819" upon|strong="G1909" them|strong="G0846", what|strong="G5101" every man|strong="G5101" should take|strong="G0142".

And|strong="G1161" it was|strong="G2258" the third|strong="G5154" hour|strong="G5610", and|strong="G2532" they crucified|strong="G4717" him|strong="G0846".

And|strong="G2532" the superscription|strong="G1923" of his|strong="G0846" accusation|strong="G0156" was|strong="G2258" written over|strong="G1924", THE KING|strong="G0935" OF THE JEWS|strong="G2453".

And|strong="G2532" with|strong="G4862" him|strong="G0846" they crucify|strong="G4717" two|strong="G1417" thieves|strong="G3027"; the one|strong="G1520" on|strong="G1537" his right hand|strong="G1188", and|strong="G2532" the other|strong="G1520" on|strong="G1537" his|strong="G0846" left|strong="G2176".

And|strong="G2532" the scripture|strong="G1124" was fulfilled|strong="G4137", which|strong="G3588" saith|strong="G3004", And|strong="G2532" he was numbered|strong="G3049" with|strong="G3326" the transgressors|strong="G0459".

And|strong="G2532" they that|strong="G3588" passed by|strong="G3899" railed on|strong="G0987" him|strong="G0846", wagging|strong="G2795" their|strong="G0846" heads|strong="G2776", and|strong="G2532" saying|strong="G3004", Ah|strong="G3758", thou that|strong="G3588" destroyest|strong="G2647" the temple|strong="G3485", and|strong="G2532" buildest|strong="G3618" it in|strong="G1722" three|strong="G5140" days|strong="G2250",

Save|strong="G4982" thyself|strong="G4572", and|strong="G2532" come down|strong="G2597" from|strong="G0575" the cross|strong="G4716".

Likewise|strong="G3668" also|strong="G2532" the chief priests|strong="G0749" mocking|strong="G1702" said|strong="G3004" among|strong="G4314" themselves|strong="G0240" with|strong="G3326" the scribes|strong="G1122", He saved|strong="G4982" others|strong="G0243"; himself|strong="G1438" he cannot|strong="G1410" save|strong="G4982".

Let Christ|strong="G5547" the King|strong="G0935" of Israel|strong="G2474" descend|strong="G2597" now|strong="G3568" from|strong="G0575" the cross|strong="G4716", that|strong="G2443" we may see|strong="G1492" and|strong="G2532" believe|strong="G4100". And|strong="G2532" they that|strong="G3588" were crucified|strong="G4957" with him|strong="G0846" reviled|strong="G3679" him|strong="G0846".

And|strong="G1161" when the sixth|strong="G1623" hour|strong="G5610" was come|strong="G1096", there was|strong="G1096" darkness|strong="G4655" over|strong="G1909" the whole|strong="G3650" land|strong="G1093" until|strong="G2193" the ninth|strong="G1766" hour|strong="G5610".

And|strong="G2532" at the ninth|strong="G1766" hour|strong="G5610" Jesus|strong="G2424" cried|strong="G0994" with a loud|strong="G3173" voice|strong="G5456", saying|strong="G3004", \+w Eloi|strong="G1682"\+w*, \+w Eloi|strong="G1682"\+w*, \+w lama|strong="G2982"\+w* \+w sabachthani|strong="G4518"\+w*? which|strong="G3739" is|strong="G2076", being interpreted|strong="G3177", My|strong="G3450" God|strong="G2316", my|strong="G3450" God|strong="G2316", why|strong="G5101" hast thou forsaken|strong="G1459" me|strong="G3165"?

And|strong="G2532" some|strong="G5100" of them that|strong="G3588" stood by|strong="G3936", when they heard|strong="G0191" it, said|strong="G3004", Behold|strong="G2400", he calleth|strong="G5455" Elias|strong="G2243".

And|strong="G1161" one|strong="G1520" ran|strong="G5143" and|strong="G2532" filled|strong="G1072" a spunge|strong="G4699" full|strong="G1072" of vinegar|strong="G3690", and|strong="G5037" put|strong="G4060" it on a reed|strong="G2563", and gave|strong="G4222" him|strong="G0846" to drink|strong="G4222", saying|strong="G3004", Let alone|strong="G0863"; let us see|strong="G1492" whether|strong="G1487" Elias|strong="G2243" will come|strong="G2064" to take|strong="G2507" him|strong="G0846" down|strong="G2507".

And|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" cried|strong="G0863" with a loud|strong="G3173" voice|strong="G5456", and gave up the ghost|strong="G1606".

And|strong="G2532" the veil|strong="G2665" of the temple|strong="G3485" was rent|strong="G4977" in|strong="G1519" twain|strong="G1417" from|strong="G0575" the top|strong="G0509" to|strong="G2193" the bottom|strong="G2736".

And|strong="G1161" when the centurion|strong="G2760", which|strong="G3588" stood|strong="G3936" over|strong="G1537" against|strong="G1727" him|strong="G0846", saw|strong="G1492" that|strong="G3754" he|strong="G2896" so|strong="G3779" cried out|strong="G2896", and gave up the ghost|strong="G1606", he said|strong="G2036", Truly|strong="G0230" this|strong="G3778" man|strong="G0444" was|strong="G2258" the Son|strong="G5207" of God|strong="G2316".

There|strong="G1161" were|strong="G2258" also|strong="G2532" women|strong="G1135" looking on|strong="G2334" afar|strong="G3113" off|strong="G0575": among|strong="G1722" whom|strong="G3739" was|strong="G2258" Mary|strong="G3137" Magdalene|strong="G3094", and|strong="G2532" Mary|strong="G3137" the mother|strong="G3384" of James|strong="G2385" the less|strong="G3398" and|strong="G2532" of Joses|strong="G2499", and|strong="G2532" Salome|strong="G4539";

(Who|strong="G3739" also|strong="G2532", when|strong="G3753" he was|strong="G2258" in|strong="G1722" Galilee|strong="G1056", followed|strong="G0190" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" ministered|strong="G1247" unto him|strong="G0846";) and|strong="G2532" many|strong="G4183" other women|strong="G0243" which|strong="G3588" came up|strong="G4872" with him|strong="G0846" unto|strong="G1519" Jerusalem|strong="G2414".

And|strong="G2532" now|strong="G2235" when the even|strong="G3798" was come|strong="G1096", because|strong="G1893" it was|strong="G2258" the preparation|strong="G3904", that|strong="G3739" is|strong="G2076", the day before the sabbath|strong="G4315",

Joseph|strong="G2501" of|strong="G0575" Arimathaea|strong="G0707", an honourable|strong="G2158" counsellor|strong="G1010", which|strong="G3739" also|strong="G2532" waited for|strong="G4327" the kingdom|strong="G0932" of God|strong="G2316", came|strong="G2064", and went in|strong="G1525" boldly|strong="G5111" unto|strong="G4314" Pilate|strong="G4091", and|strong="G2532" craved|strong="G0154" the body|strong="G4983" of Jesus|strong="G2424".

And|strong="G1161" Pilate|strong="G4091" marvelled|strong="G2296" if|strong="G1487" he were|strong="G2348" already|strong="G2235" dead|strong="G2348": and|strong="G2532" calling|strong="G4341" unto him the centurion|strong="G2760", he asked|strong="G1905" him|strong="G0846" whether|strong="G1487" he had been|strong="G0599" any while|strong="G3819" dead|strong="G0599".

And|strong="G2532" when he knew|strong="G1097" it of|strong="G0575" the centurion|strong="G2760", he gave|strong="G1433" the body|strong="G4983" to Joseph|strong="G2501".

And|strong="G2532" he bought|strong="G0059" fine linen|strong="G4616", and|strong="G2532" took|strong="G2507" him|strong="G0846" down|strong="G2507", and wrapped him in|strong="G1750" the linen|strong="G4616", and|strong="G2532" laid|strong="G2698" him|strong="G0846" in|strong="G1722" a sepulchre|strong="G3419" which|strong="G3739" was|strong="G2258" hewn|strong="G2998" out of|strong="G1537" a rock|strong="G4073", and|strong="G2532" rolled|strong="G4351" a stone|strong="G3037" unto|strong="G1909" the door|strong="G2374" of the sepulchre|strong="G3419".

And|strong="G1161" Mary|strong="G3137" Magdalene|strong="G3094" and|strong="G2532" Mary|strong="G3137" the mother of Joses|strong="G2499" beheld|strong="G2334" where|strong="G4225" he was laid|strong="G5087".
