1 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spake|strong="H1696" unto Moses|strong="H4872" in mount|strong="H2022" Sinai|strong="H5514", saying|strong="H0559",
2 Speak|strong="H1696" unto the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", and say|strong="H0559" unto them, When ye come|strong="H0935" into the land|strong="H0776" which I give|strong="H5414" you, then shall the land|strong="H0776" keep|strong="H7673" a sabbath|strong="H7676" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
3 Six|strong="H8337" years|strong="H8141" thou shalt sow|strong="H2232" thy field|strong="H7704", and six|strong="H8337" years|strong="H8141" thou shalt prune|strong="H2168" thy vineyard|strong="H3754", and gather|strong="H0622" in the fruit|strong="H8393" thereof;
4 But in the seventh|strong="H7637" year|strong="H8141" shall be a sabbath|strong="H7676" of rest|strong="H7677" unto the land|strong="H0776", a sabbath|strong="H7676" for the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: thou shalt neither sow|strong="H2232" thy field|strong="H7704", nor prune|strong="H2168" thy vineyard|strong="H3754".
5 That which groweth of its own accord|strong="H5599" of thy harvest|strong="H7105" thou shalt not reap|strong="H7114", neither gather|strong="H1219" the grapes|strong="H6025" of thy vine undressed|strong="H5139": for it is a year|strong="H8141" of rest|strong="H7677" unto the land|strong="H0776".
6 And the sabbath|strong="H7676" of the land|strong="H0776" shall be meat|strong="H0402" for you; for thee, and for thy servant|strong="H5650", and for thy maid|strong="H0519", and for thy hired servant|strong="H7916", and for thy stranger|strong="H8453" that sojourneth|strong="H1481" with thee,
7 And for thy cattle|strong="H0929", and for the beast|strong="H2416" that are in thy land|strong="H0776", shall all the increase|strong="H8393" thereof be meat|strong="H0398".
8 And thou shalt number|strong="H5608" seven|strong="H7651" sabbaths|strong="H7676" of years|strong="H8141" unto thee, seven|strong="H7651" times|strong="H6471" seven|strong="H7651" years|strong="H8141"; and the space|strong="H3117" of the seven|strong="H7651" sabbaths|strong="H7676" of years|strong="H8141" shall be unto thee forty|strong="H0705" and nine|strong="H8672" years|strong="H8141".
9 Then shalt thou cause the trumpet|strong="H7782" of the jubile|strong="H8643" to sound|strong="H5674" on the tenth|strong="H6218" day of the seventh|strong="H7637" month|strong="H2320", in the day|strong="H3117" of atonement|strong="H3725" shall ye make the trumpet|strong="H7782" sound|strong="H5674" throughout all your land|strong="H0776".
10 And ye shall hallow|strong="H6942" the fiftieth|strong="H2572" year|strong="H8141", and proclaim|strong="H7121" liberty|strong="H1865" throughout all the land|strong="H0776" unto all the inhabitants|strong="H3427" thereof: it shall be a jubile|strong="H3104" unto you; and ye shall return|strong="H7725" every man|strong="H0376" unto his possession|strong="H0272", and ye shall return|strong="H7725" every man|strong="H0376" unto his family|strong="H4940".
11 A jubile|strong="H3104" shall that fiftieth|strong="H2572" year|strong="H8141" be unto you: ye shall not sow|strong="H2232", neither reap|strong="H7114" that which groweth|strong="H5599" of itself in it, nor gather|strong="H1219" the grapes in it of thy vine undressed|strong="H5139".
12 For it is the jubile|strong="H3104"; it shall be holy|strong="H6944" unto you: ye shall eat|strong="H0398" the increase|strong="H8393" thereof out of the field|strong="H7704".
13 In the year|strong="H8141" of this jubile|strong="H3104" ye shall return|strong="H7725" every man|strong="H0376" unto his possession|strong="H0272".
14 And if thou sell|strong="H4376" ought|strong="H4465" unto thy neighbour|strong="H5997", or buyest|strong="H7069" ought of thy neighbour’s|strong="H5997" hand|strong="H3027", ye shall not oppress|strong="H3238" one|strong="H0376" another|strong="H0251":
15 According to the number|strong="H4557" of years|strong="H8141" after|strong="H0310" the jubile|strong="H3104" thou shalt buy|strong="H7069" of thy neighbour|strong="H5997", and according unto the number|strong="H4557" of years|strong="H8141" of the fruits|strong="H8393" he shall sell|strong="H4376" unto thee:
16 According|strong="H6310" to the multitude|strong="H7230" of years|strong="H8141" thou shalt increase|strong="H7235" the price|strong="H4736" thereof, and according|strong="H6310" to the fewness|strong="H4591" of years|strong="H8141" thou shalt diminish|strong="H4591" the price|strong="H4736" of it: for according to the number|strong="H4557" of the years of the fruits|strong="H8393" doth he sell|strong="H4376" unto thee.
17 Ye shall not therefore oppress|strong="H3238" one|strong="H0376" another|strong="H5997"; but thou shalt fear|strong="H3372" thy God|strong="H0430": for I am the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* your God|strong="H0430".
18 Wherefore ye shall do|strong="H6213" my statutes|strong="H2708", and keep|strong="H8104" my judgments|strong="H4941", and do|strong="H6213" them; and ye shall dwell|strong="H3427" in the land|strong="H0776" in safety|strong="H0983".
19 And the land|strong="H0776" shall yield|strong="H5414" her fruit|strong="H6529", and ye shall eat|strong="H0398" your fill|strong="H7648", and dwell|strong="H3427" therein in safety|strong="H0983".
20 And if ye shall say|strong="H0559", What shall we eat|strong="H0398" the seventh|strong="H7637" year|strong="H8141"? behold, we shall not sow|strong="H2232", nor gather|strong="H0622" in our increase|strong="H8393":
21 Then I will command|strong="H6680" my blessing|strong="H1293" upon you in the sixth|strong="H8345" year|strong="H8141", and it shall bring forth|strong="H6213" fruit|strong="H8393" for three|strong="H7969" years|strong="H8141".
22 And ye shall sow|strong="H2232" the eighth|strong="H8066" year|strong="H8141", and eat|strong="H0398" yet of old|strong="H3465" fruit|strong="H8393" until the ninth|strong="H8671" year|strong="H8141"; until her fruits|strong="H8393" come in|strong="H0935" ye shall eat|strong="H0398" of the old|strong="H3465" store.
23 The land|strong="H0776" shall not be sold|strong="H4376" for ever|strong="H6783": for the land|strong="H0776" is mine; for ye are strangers|strong="H1616" and sojourners|strong="H8453" with me.
24 And in all the land|strong="H0776" of your possession|strong="H0272" ye shall grant|strong="H5414" a redemption|strong="H1353" for the land|strong="H0776".
25 If thy brother|strong="H0251" be waxen poor|strong="H4134", and hath sold|strong="H4376" away some of his possession|strong="H0272", and if any of his kin|strong="H7138" come|strong="H0935" to redeem|strong="H1350" it, then shall he redeem|strong="H1350" that which his brother|strong="H0251" sold|strong="H4465".
26 And if the man|strong="H0376" have none to redeem|strong="H1350" it, and himself|strong="H3027" be able|strong="H1767" to redeem|strong="H4672" it;
27 Then let him count|strong="H2803" the years|strong="H8141" of the sale|strong="H4465" thereof, and restore|strong="H7725" the overplus|strong="H5736" unto the man|strong="H0376" to whom he sold|strong="H4376" it; that he may return|strong="H7725" unto his possession|strong="H0272".
28 But if he|strong="H3027" be not able|strong="H1767" to restore|strong="H4672" it to him, then that which is sold|strong="H4465" shall remain in the hand|strong="H3027" of him that hath bought|strong="H7069" it until the year|strong="H8141" of jubile|strong="H3104": and in the jubile|strong="H3104" it shall go out|strong="H3318", and he shall return|strong="H7725" unto his possession|strong="H0272".
29 And if a man|strong="H0376" sell|strong="H4376" a dwelling|strong="H4186" house|strong="H1004" in a walled|strong="H2346" city|strong="H5892", then he may redeem|strong="H1353" it within a whole|strong="H8552" year|strong="H8141" after it is sold|strong="H4465"; within a full year|strong="H3117" may he redeem|strong="H1353" it.
30 And if it be not redeemed|strong="H1350" within the space|strong="H4390" of a full|strong="H8549" year|strong="H8141", then the house|strong="H1004" that is in the walled|strong="H2346" city|strong="H5892" shall be established|strong="H6965" for ever|strong="H6783" to him that bought|strong="H7069" it throughout his generations|strong="H1755": it shall not go out|strong="H3318" in the jubile|strong="H3104".
31 But the houses|strong="H1004" of the villages|strong="H2691" which have no wall|strong="H2346" round about|strong="H5439" them shall be counted|strong="H2803" as the fields|strong="H7704" of the country|strong="H0776": they may be redeemed|strong="H1353", and they shall go out|strong="H3318" in the jubile|strong="H3104".
32 Notwithstanding the cities|strong="H5892" of the Levites|strong="H3881", and the houses|strong="H1004" of the cities|strong="H5892" of their possession|strong="H0272", may the Levites|strong="H3881" redeem|strong="H1353" at any time|strong="H5769".
33 And if a man purchase|strong="H1350" of the Levites|strong="H3881", then the house|strong="H1004" that was sold|strong="H4465", and the city|strong="H5892" of his possession|strong="H0272", shall go out|strong="H3318" in the year of jubile|strong="H3104": for the houses|strong="H1004" of the cities|strong="H5892" of the Levites|strong="H3881" are their possession|strong="H0272" among|strong="H8432" the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478".
34 But the field|strong="H7704" of the suburbs|strong="H4054" of their cities|strong="H5892" may not be sold|strong="H4376"; for it is their perpetual|strong="H5769" possession|strong="H0272".
35 And if thy brother|strong="H0251" be waxen poor|strong="H4134", and fallen in decay|strong="H4131" with thee|strong="H3027"; then thou shalt relieve|strong="H2388" him: yea, though he be a stranger|strong="H1616", or a sojourner|strong="H8453"; that he may live|strong="H2416" with thee.
36 Take|strong="H3947" thou no usury|strong="H5392" of him, or increase|strong="H8636": but fear|strong="H3372" thy God|strong="H0430"; that thy brother|strong="H0251" may live|strong="H2416" with thee.
37 Thou shalt not give|strong="H5414" him thy money|strong="H3701" upon usury|strong="H5392", nor lend|strong="H5414" him thy victuals|strong="H0400" for increase|strong="H4768".
38 I am the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* your God|strong="H0430", which brought you forth|strong="H3318" out of the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714", to give|strong="H5414" you the land|strong="H0776" of Canaan|strong="H3667", and to be your God|strong="H0430".
39 And if thy brother|strong="H0251" that dwelleth by thee be waxen poor|strong="H4134", and be sold|strong="H4376" unto thee; thou shalt not compel|strong="H5647" him to serve|strong="H5656" as a bondservant|strong="H5650":
40 But as an hired servant|strong="H7916", and as a sojourner|strong="H8453", he shall be with thee, and shall serve|strong="H5647" thee unto the year|strong="H8141" of jubile|strong="H3104":
41 And then shall he depart|strong="H3318" from thee, both he and his children|strong="H1121" with him, and shall return|strong="H7725" unto his own family|strong="H4940", and unto the possession|strong="H0272" of his fathers|strong="H0001" shall he return|strong="H7725".
42 For they are my servants|strong="H5650", which I brought forth|strong="H3318" out of the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714": they shall not be sold|strong="H4376" as|strong="H4466" bondmen|strong="H5650".
43 Thou shalt not rule|strong="H7287" over him with rigour|strong="H6531"; but shalt fear|strong="H3372" thy God|strong="H0430".
44 Both thy bondmen|strong="H5650", and thy bondmaids|strong="H0519", which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen|strong="H1471" that are round about|strong="H5439" you; of them shall ye buy|strong="H7069" bondmen|strong="H5650" and bondmaids|strong="H0519".
45 Moreover of the children|strong="H1121" of the strangers|strong="H8453" that do sojourn|strong="H1481" among you, of them shall ye buy|strong="H7069", and of their families|strong="H4940" that are with you, which they begat|strong="H3205" in your land|strong="H0776": and they shall be your possession|strong="H0272".
46 And ye shall take them as an inheritance|strong="H5157" for your children|strong="H1121" after|strong="H0310" you, to inherit|strong="H3423" them for a possession|strong="H0272"; they shall be your bondmen|strong="H5647" for ever|strong="H5769": but over your brethren|strong="H0251" the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", ye shall not rule|strong="H7287" one|strong="H0376" over another|strong="H0251" with rigour|strong="H6531".
47 And if a sojourner|strong="H1616" or stranger|strong="H8453" wax rich|strong="H5381" by thee|strong="H3027", and thy brother|strong="H0251" that dwelleth by him wax poor|strong="H4134", and sell|strong="H4376" himself unto the stranger|strong="H1616" or sojourner|strong="H8453" by thee, or to the stock|strong="H6133" of the stranger’s|strong="H1616" family|strong="H4940":
48 After|strong="H0310" that he is sold|strong="H4376" he may be redeemed again|strong="H1353"; one|strong="H0259" of his brethren|strong="H0251" may redeem|strong="H1350" him:
49 Either his uncle|strong="H1730", or his uncle’s|strong="H1730" son|strong="H1121", may redeem|strong="H1350" him, or any that is nigh|strong="H7607" of kin|strong="H1320" unto him of his family|strong="H4940" may redeem|strong="H1350" him; or if he be able|strong="H5381", he may redeem|strong="H1350" himself|strong="H3027".
50 And he shall reckon|strong="H2803" with him that bought|strong="H7069" him from the year|strong="H8141" that he was sold|strong="H4376" to him unto the year|strong="H8141" of jubile|strong="H3104": and the price|strong="H3701" of his sale|strong="H4465" shall be according unto the number|strong="H4557" of years|strong="H8141", according to the time|strong="H3117" of an hired servant|strong="H7916" shall it be with him.
51 If there be yet many|strong="H7227" years|strong="H8141" behind, according|strong="H6310" unto them he shall give again|strong="H7725" the price of his redemption|strong="H1353" out of the money|strong="H3701" that he was bought|strong="H4736" for.
52 And if there remain|strong="H7604" but few|strong="H4592" years|strong="H8141" unto the year|strong="H8141" of jubile|strong="H3104", then he shall count|strong="H2803" with him, and according|strong="H6310" unto his years|strong="H8141" shall he give him again|strong="H7725" the price of his redemption|strong="H1353".
53 And as a yearly|strong="H8141" hired servant|strong="H7916" shall he be with him: and the other shall not rule|strong="H7287" with rigour|strong="H6531" over him in thy sight|strong="H5869".
54 And if he be not redeemed|strong="H1350" in these years, then he shall go out|strong="H3318" in the year|strong="H8141" of jubile|strong="H3104", both he, and his children|strong="H1121" with him.
55 For unto me the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" are servants|strong="H5650"; they are my servants|strong="H5650" whom I brought forth|strong="H3318" out of the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714": I am the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* your God|strong="H0430".
