Jó 34

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Furthermore Elihu|strong="H0453" answered|strong="H6030" and said|strong="H0559",

Hear|strong="H8085" my words|strong="H4405", O ye wise|strong="H2450" men; and give ear|strong="H0238" unto me, ye that have knowledge|strong="H3045".

For the ear|strong="H0241" trieth|strong="H0974" words|strong="H4405", as the mouth|strong="H2441" tasteth|strong="H2938" meat|strong="H0398".

Let us choose|strong="H0977" to us judgment|strong="H4941": let us know|strong="H3045" among ourselves what is good|strong="H2896".

For Job|strong="H0347" hath said|strong="H0559", I am righteous|strong="H6663": and God|strong="H0410" hath taken away|strong="H5493" my judgment|strong="H4941".

Should I lie|strong="H3576" against my right|strong="H4941"? my wound|strong="H2671" is incurable|strong="H0605" without transgression|strong="H6588".

What man|strong="H1397" is like Job|strong="H0347", who drinketh up|strong="H8354" scorning|strong="H3933" like water|strong="H4325"?

Which goeth|strong="H0732" in company|strong="H2274" with the workers|strong="H6466" of iniquity|strong="H0205", and walketh|strong="H3212" with wicked|strong="H7562" men|strong="H0582".

For he hath said|strong="H0559", It profiteth|strong="H5532" a man|strong="H1397" nothing that he should delight|strong="H7521" himself with God|strong="H0430".

Therefore hearken|strong="H8085" unto me, ye men|strong="H0582" of understanding|strong="H3824": far be it|strong="H2486" from God|strong="H0410", that he should do wickedness|strong="H7562"; and from the Almighty|strong="H7706", that he should commit iniquity|strong="H5766".

For the work|strong="H6467" of a man|strong="H0120" shall he render|strong="H7999" unto him, and cause every man|strong="H0376" to find|strong="H4672" according to his ways|strong="H0734".

Yea, surely|strong="H0551" God|strong="H0410" will not do wickedly|strong="H7561", neither will the Almighty|strong="H7706" pervert|strong="H5791" judgment|strong="H4941".

Who hath given him a charge|strong="H6485" over the earth|strong="H0776"? or who hath disposed|strong="H7760" the whole world|strong="H8398"?

If he set|strong="H7760" his heart|strong="H3820" upon man, if he gather|strong="H0622" unto himself his spirit|strong="H7307" and his breath|strong="H5397";

All flesh|strong="H1320" shall perish|strong="H1478" together|strong="H3162", and man|strong="H0120" shall turn again|strong="H7725" unto dust|strong="H6083".

If now thou hast understanding|strong="H0998", hear|strong="H8085" this: hearken|strong="H0238" to the voice|strong="H6963" of my words|strong="H4405".

Shall even he that hateth|strong="H8130" right|strong="H4941" govern|strong="H2280"? and wilt thou condemn|strong="H7561" him that is most|strong="H3524" just|strong="H6662"?

Is it fit to say|strong="H0559" to a king|strong="H4428", Thou art wicked|strong="H1100"? and to princes|strong="H5081", Ye are ungodly|strong="H7563"?

How much less to him that accepteth|strong="H5375" not the persons|strong="H6440" of princes|strong="H8269", nor regardeth|strong="H5234" the rich|strong="H7771" more than|strong="H6440" the poor|strong="H1800"? for they all are the work|strong="H4639" of his hands|strong="H3027".

In a moment|strong="H7281" shall they die|strong="H4191", and the people|strong="H5971" shall be troubled|strong="H1607" at midnight|strong="H2676", and pass away|strong="H5674": and the mighty|strong="H0047" shall be taken away|strong="H5493" without hand|strong="H3027".

For his eyes|strong="H5869" are upon the ways|strong="H1870" of man|strong="H0376", and he seeth|strong="H7200" all his goings|strong="H6806".

There is no darkness|strong="H2822", nor shadow of death|strong="H6757", where the workers|strong="H6466" of iniquity|strong="H0205" may hide|strong="H5641" themselves.

For he will not lay|strong="H7760" upon man|strong="H0376" more than right; that he should enter|strong="H1980" into judgment|strong="H4941" with God|strong="H0410".

He shall break in pieces|strong="H7489" mighty men|strong="H3524" without number|strong="H2714", and set|strong="H5975" others|strong="H0312" in their stead.

Therefore he knoweth|strong="H5234" their works|strong="H4566", and he overturneth|strong="H2015" them in the night|strong="H3915", so that they are destroyed|strong="H1792".

He striketh|strong="H5606" them as|strong="H8478" wicked men|strong="H7563" in the open|strong="H4725" sight|strong="H7200" of others;

Because they turned back|strong="H5493" from him|strong="H0310", and would not consider|strong="H7919" any of his ways|strong="H1870":

So that they cause the cry|strong="H6818" of the poor|strong="H1800" to come|strong="H0935" unto him, and he heareth|strong="H8085" the cry|strong="H6818" of the afflicted|strong="H6041".

When he giveth quietness|strong="H8252", who then can make trouble|strong="H7561"? and when he hideth|strong="H5641" his face|strong="H6440", who then can behold|strong="H7789" him? whether it be done against a nation|strong="H1471", or against a man|strong="H0120" only|strong="H3162":

That the hypocrite|strong="H0120" reign|strong="H4427" not, lest the people|strong="H5971" be ensnared|strong="H4170".

Surely it is meet to be said|strong="H0559" unto God|strong="H0410", I have borne|strong="H5375" chastisement, I will not offend|strong="H2254" any more:

That which I see|strong="H2372" not|strong="H1107" teach|strong="H3384" thou me: if I have done|strong="H6466" iniquity|strong="H5766", I will do|strong="H3254" no more.

Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense|strong="H7999" it, whether thou refuse|strong="H3588", or whether thou choose|strong="H0977"; and not I: therefore speak|strong="H1696" what thou knowest|strong="H3045".

Let men|strong="H0582" of understanding|strong="H3824" tell|strong="H0559" me, and let a wise|strong="H2450" man|strong="H1397" hearken|strong="H8085" unto me.

Job|strong="H0347" hath spoken|strong="H1696" without knowledge|strong="H1847", and his words|strong="H1697" were without wisdom|strong="H7919".

My desire|strong="H0015" is that Job|strong="H0347" may be tried|strong="H0974" unto the end|strong="H5331" because of his answers|strong="H8666" for wicked|strong="H0205" men|strong="H0582".

For he addeth|strong="H3254" rebellion|strong="H6588" unto his sin|strong="H2403", he clappeth|strong="H5606" his hands among us, and multiplieth|strong="H7235" his words|strong="H0561" against God|strong="H0410".
