1 Thus saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, The heaven|strong="H8064" is my throne|strong="H3678", and the earth|strong="H0776" is my footstool|strong="H7272": where is the house|strong="H1004" that ye build|strong="H1129" unto me? and where is the place|strong="H4725" of my rest|strong="H4496"?
2 For all those things hath mine hand|strong="H3027" made|strong="H6213", and all those things have been, saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: but to this man will I look|strong="H5027", even to him that is poor|strong="H6041" and of a contrite|strong="H5223" spirit|strong="H7307", and trembleth|strong="H2730" at my word|strong="H1697".
3 He that killeth|strong="H7819" an ox|strong="H7794" is as if he slew|strong="H5221" a man|strong="H0376"; he that sacrificeth|strong="H2076" a lamb|strong="H7716", as if he cut off|strong="H6202" a dog’s|strong="H3611" neck|strong="H6202"; he that offereth|strong="H5927" an oblation|strong="H4503", as if he offered swine’s|strong="H2386" blood|strong="H1818"; he that burneth|strong="H2142" incense|strong="H3828", as if he blessed|strong="H1288" an idol|strong="H0205". Yea, they have chosen|strong="H0977" their own ways|strong="H1870", and their soul|strong="H5315" delighteth|strong="H2654" in their abominations|strong="H8251".
4 I also will choose|strong="H0977" their delusions|strong="H8586", and will bring|strong="H0935" their fears|strong="H4035" upon them; because when I called|strong="H7121", none did answer|strong="H6030"; when I spake|strong="H1696", they did not hear|strong="H8085": but they did|strong="H6213" evil|strong="H7451" before mine eyes|strong="H5869", and chose|strong="H0977" that in which I delighted|strong="H2654" not.
5 Hear|strong="H8085" the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, ye that tremble|strong="H2730" at his word|strong="H1697"; Your brethren|strong="H0251" that hated|strong="H8130" you, that cast you out|strong="H5077" for my name’s|strong="H8034" sake, said|strong="H0559", Let the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* be glorified|strong="H3513": but he shall appear|strong="H7200" to your joy|strong="H8057", and they shall be ashamed|strong="H0954".
6 A voice|strong="H6963" of noise|strong="H7588" from the city|strong="H5892", a voice|strong="H6963" from the temple|strong="H1964", a voice|strong="H6963" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* that rendereth|strong="H7999" recompence|strong="H1576" to his enemies|strong="H0341".
7 Before she travailed|strong="H2342", she brought forth|strong="H3205"; before her pain|strong="H2256" came|strong="H0935", she was delivered|strong="H4422" of a man child|strong="H2145".
8 Who hath heard|strong="H8085" such a thing? who hath seen|strong="H7200" such things? Shall the earth|strong="H0776" be made to bring forth|strong="H2342" in one|strong="H0259" day|strong="H3117"? or shall a nation|strong="H1471" be born|strong="H3205" at once|strong="H6471"? for as soon as|strong="H1571" Zion|strong="H6726" travailed|strong="H2342", she brought forth|strong="H3205" her children|strong="H1121".
9 Shall I bring to the birth|strong="H7665", and not cause to bring forth|strong="H3205"? saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: shall I|strong="H0589" cause to bring forth|strong="H3205", and shut|strong="H6113" the womb? saith|strong="H0559" thy God|strong="H0430".
10 Rejoice|strong="H8055" ye with Jerusalem|strong="H3389", and be glad|strong="H1523" with her, all ye that love|strong="H0157" her: rejoice|strong="H7797" for joy|strong="H4885" with her, all ye that mourn|strong="H0056" for her:
11 That ye may suck|strong="H3243", and be satisfied|strong="H7646" with the breasts|strong="H7699" of her consolations|strong="H8575"; that ye may milk out|strong="H4711", and be delighted|strong="H6026" with the abundance|strong="H2123" of her glory|strong="H3519".
12 For thus saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, Behold, I will extend|strong="H5186" peace|strong="H7965" to her like a river|strong="H5104", and the glory|strong="H3519" of the Gentiles|strong="H1471" like a flowing|strong="H7857" stream|strong="H5158": then shall ye suck|strong="H3243", ye shall be borne|strong="H5375" upon her sides|strong="H6654", and be dandled|strong="H8173" upon her knees|strong="H1290".
13 As one|strong="H0376" whom his mother|strong="H0517" comforteth|strong="H5162", so will I comfort|strong="H5162" you; and ye shall be comforted|strong="H5162" in Jerusalem|strong="H3389".
14 And when ye see|strong="H7200" this, your heart|strong="H3820" shall rejoice|strong="H7797", and your bones|strong="H6106" shall flourish|strong="H6524" like an herb|strong="H1877": and the hand|strong="H3027" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall be known|strong="H3045" toward his servants|strong="H5650", and his indignation|strong="H2194" toward his enemies|strong="H0341".
15 For, behold, the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* will come|strong="H0935" with fire|strong="H0784", and with his chariots|strong="H4818" like a whirlwind|strong="H5492", to render|strong="H7725" his anger|strong="H0639" with fury|strong="H2534", and his rebuke|strong="H1606" with flames|strong="H3851" of fire|strong="H0784".
16 For by fire|strong="H0784" and by his sword|strong="H2719" will the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* plead|strong="H8199" with all flesh|strong="H1320": and the slain|strong="H2491" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall be many|strong="H7231".
17 They that sanctify|strong="H6942" themselves, and purify|strong="H2891" themselves in the gardens|strong="H1593" behind|strong="H0310" one|strong="H0259" tree in the midst|strong="H8432", eating|strong="H0398" swine’s|strong="H2386" flesh|strong="H1320", and the abomination|strong="H8263", and the mouse|strong="H5909", shall be consumed|strong="H5486" together|strong="H3162", saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
18 For I know their works|strong="H4639" and their thoughts|strong="H4284": it shall come|strong="H0935", that I will gather|strong="H6908" all nations|strong="H1471" and tongues|strong="H3956"; and they shall come|strong="H0935", and see|strong="H7200" my glory|strong="H3519".
19 And I will set|strong="H7760" a sign|strong="H0226" among them, and I will send|strong="H7971" those that escape|strong="H6412" of them unto the nations|strong="H1471", to Tarshish|strong="H8659", Pul|strong="H6322", and Lud|strong="H3865", that draw|strong="H4900" the bow|strong="H7198", to Tubal|strong="H8422", and Javan|strong="H3120", to the isles|strong="H0339" afar off|strong="H7350", that have not heard|strong="H8085" my fame|strong="H8088", neither have seen|strong="H7200" my glory|strong="H3519"; and they shall declare|strong="H5046" my glory|strong="H3519" among the Gentiles|strong="H1471".
20 And they shall bring|strong="H0935" all your brethren|strong="H0251" for an offering|strong="H4503" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* out of all nations|strong="H1471" upon horses|strong="H5483", and in chariots|strong="H7393", and in litters|strong="H6632", and upon mules|strong="H6505", and upon swift beasts|strong="H3753", to my holy|strong="H6944" mountain|strong="H2022" Jerusalem|strong="H3389", saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, as the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" bring|strong="H0935" an offering|strong="H4503" in a clean|strong="H2889" vessel|strong="H3627" into the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
21 And I will also take|strong="H3947" of them for priests|strong="H3548" and for Levites|strong="H3881", saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
22 For as the new|strong="H2319" heavens|strong="H8064" and the new|strong="H2319" earth|strong="H0776", which I will make|strong="H6213", shall remain|strong="H5975" before|strong="H6440" me, saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, so shall your seed|strong="H2233" and your name|strong="H8034" remain|strong="H5975".
23 And it shall come to pass, that from|strong="H1767" one new moon|strong="H2320" to another|strong="H2320", and from|strong="H1767" one sabbath|strong="H7676" to another|strong="H7676", shall all flesh|strong="H1320" come|strong="H0935" to worship|strong="H7812" before|strong="H6440" me, saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
24 And they shall go forth|strong="H3318", and look|strong="H7200" upon the carcases|strong="H6297" of the men|strong="H0582" that have transgressed|strong="H6586" against me: for their worm|strong="H8438" shall not die|strong="H4191", neither shall their fire|strong="H0784" be quenched|strong="H3518"; and they shall be an abhorring|strong="H1860" unto all flesh|strong="H1320".
