1 Come down|strong="H3381", and sit|strong="H3427" in the dust|strong="H6083", O virgin|strong="H1330" daughter|strong="H1323" of Babylon|strong="H0894", sit|strong="H3427" on the ground|strong="H0776": there is no throne|strong="H3678", O daughter|strong="H1323" of the Chaldeans|strong="H3778": for thou shalt no more|strong="H3254" be called|strong="H7121" tender|strong="H7390" and delicate|strong="H6028".
1 Desce, e assenta-te no pó, ó virgem filha de Babilônia; assenta-te no chão sem trono, ó filha dos caldeus, porque nunca mais serás chamada a mimosa nem a delicada.
2 Take|strong="H3947" the millstones|strong="H7347", and grind|strong="H2912" meal|strong="H7058": uncover|strong="H1540" thy locks|strong="H6777", make bare|strong="H2834" the leg|strong="H7640", uncover|strong="H1540" the thigh|strong="H7785", pass over|strong="H5674" the rivers|strong="H5104".
2 Toma a mó, e mói a farinha; remove o teu véu, suspende a cauda da tua vestidura, descobre as pernas e passa os rios.
3 Thy nakedness|strong="H6172" shall be uncovered|strong="H1540", yea, thy shame|strong="H2781" shall be seen|strong="H7200": I will take|strong="H3947" vengeance|strong="H5359", and I will not meet|strong="H6293" thee as a man|strong="H0120".
3 A tua nudez será descoberta, e ver-se-á o teu opróbrio; tomarei vingança, e não pouparei a homem algum.
4 As for our redeemer|strong="H1350", the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635" is his name|strong="H8034", the Holy One|strong="H6918" of Israel|strong="H3478".
4 Quanto ao nosso Redentor, o Senhor dos exércitos é o seu nome, o Santo de Israel.
5 Sit|strong="H3427" thou silent|strong="H1748", and get|strong="H0935" thee into darkness|strong="H2822", O daughter|strong="H1323" of the Chaldeans|strong="H3778": for thou shalt no more|strong="H3254" be called|strong="H7121", The lady|strong="H1404" of kingdoms|strong="H4467".
5 Assenta-te calada, e entra nas trevas, ó filha dos caldeus; porque não serás chamada mais a senhora de reinos.
6 I was wroth|strong="H7107" with my people|strong="H5971", I have polluted|strong="H2490" mine inheritance|strong="H5159", and given|strong="H5414" them into thine hand|strong="H3027": thou didst shew|strong="H7760" them no mercy|strong="H7356"; upon the ancient|strong="H2205" hast thou very|strong="H3966" heavily|strong="H3513" laid thy yoke|strong="H5923".
6 Muito me agastei contra o meu povo, profanei a minha herança, e os entreguei na tua mão; não usaste de misericórdia para com eles, e até sobre os velhos fizeste muito pesado o teu jugo.
7 And thou saidst|strong="H0559", I shall be a lady|strong="H1404" for ever|strong="H5769": so that thou didst not lay|strong="H7760" these things to thy heart|strong="H3820", neither didst remember|strong="H2142" the latter end|strong="H0319" of it.
7 E disseste: Eu serei senhora para sempre; de sorte que até agora não tomaste a peito estas coisas, nem te lembraste do fim delas.
8 Therefore hear|strong="H8085" now this, thou that art given to pleasures|strong="H5719", that dwellest|strong="H3427" carelessly|strong="H0983", that sayest|strong="H0559" in thine heart|strong="H3824", I am, and none else|strong="H0657" beside me; I shall not sit|strong="H3427" as a widow|strong="H0490", neither shall I know|strong="H3045" the loss of children|strong="H7908":
8 Agora pois ouve isto, tu que és dada a prazeres, que habitas descuidada, que dizes no teu coração: Eu sou, e fora de mim não há outra; não ficarei viúva, nem conhecerei a perda de filhos.
9 But these two|strong="H8147" things shall come|strong="H0935" to thee in a moment|strong="H7281" in one|strong="H0259" day|strong="H3117", the loss of children|strong="H7908", and widowhood|strong="H0489": they shall come|strong="H0935" upon thee in their perfection|strong="H8537" for the multitude|strong="H7230" of thy sorceries|strong="H3785", and for the great|strong="H3966" abundance|strong="H6109" of thine enchantments|strong="H2267".
9 Mas ambas estas coisas virão sobre ti num momento, no mesmo dia, perda de filhos e viuvez; em toda a sua plenitude virão sobre ti, apesar da multidão das tuas feitiçarias, e da grande abundância dos teus encantamentos.
10 For thou hast trusted|strong="H0982" in thy wickedness|strong="H7451": thou hast said|strong="H0559", None seeth|strong="H7200" me. Thy wisdom|strong="H2451" and thy knowledge|strong="H1847", it hath perverted|strong="H7725" thee; and thou hast said|strong="H0559" in thine heart|strong="H3820", I am, and none else|strong="H0657" beside me.
10 Porque confiaste na tua maldade e disseste: Ninguém me vê; a tua sabedoria e o teu conhecimento, essas coisas te perverteram; e disseste no teu coração: Eu sou, e fora de mim não há outra.
11 Therefore shall evil|strong="H7451" come|strong="H0935" upon thee; thou shalt not know|strong="H3045" from whence it riseth|strong="H7837": and mischief|strong="H1943" shall fall|strong="H5307" upon thee; thou shalt not be able|strong="H3201" to put it off|strong="H3722": and desolation|strong="H7722" shall come|strong="H0935" upon thee suddenly|strong="H6597", which thou shalt not know|strong="H3045".
11 Pelo que sobre ti virá o mal de que por encantamentos não saberás livrar-te; e tal destruição cairá sobre ti, que não a poderás afastar; e virá sobre ti de repente tão tempestuosa desolação, que não a poderás conhecer.
12 Stand|strong="H5975" now with thine enchantments|strong="H2267", and with the multitude|strong="H7230" of thy sorceries|strong="H3785", wherein|strong="H0834" thou hast laboured|strong="H3021" from thy youth|strong="H5271"; if so be thou shalt be able|strong="H3201" to profit|strong="H3276", if so be thou mayest prevail|strong="H6206".
12 Deixa-te estar com os teus encantamentos, e com a multidão das tuas feitiçarias em que te hás fatigado desde a tua mocidade, a ver se podes tirar proveito, ou se porventura podes inspirar terror.
13 Thou art wearied|strong="H3811" in the multitude|strong="H7230" of thy counsels|strong="H6098". Let now the astrologers|strong="H1895", the stargazers|strong="H2374", the monthly|strong="H2320" prognosticators|strong="H3045", stand up|strong="H5975", and save|strong="H3467" thee from these things that shall come|strong="H0935" upon thee.
13 Cansaste-te na multidão dos teus conselhos; levantem-se pois agora e te salvem os astrólogos, que contemplam os astros, e os que nas luas novas prognosticam o que há de vir sobre ti.
14 Behold, they shall be as stubble|strong="H7179"; the fire|strong="H0784" shall burn|strong="H8313" them; they shall not deliver|strong="H5337" themselves|strong="H5315" from the power|strong="H3027" of the flame|strong="H3852": there shall not be a coal|strong="H1513" to warm|strong="H2552" at, nor fire|strong="H0217" to sit|strong="H3427" before it.
14 Eis que são como restolho; o logo os queimará; não poderão livrar-se do poder das chamas; pois não é um braseiro com que se aquentar, nem fogo para se sentar junto dele.
15 Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured|strong="H3021", even thy merchants|strong="H5503", from thy youth|strong="H5271": they shall wander|strong="H8582" every one|strong="H0376" to his quarter|strong="H5676"; none shall save|strong="H3467" thee.
15 Assim serão para contigo aqueles com quem te hás fatigado, os que tiveram negócios contigo desde a tua mocidade; andarão vagueando, cada um pelo seu caminho; não haverá quem te salve.
