Isaías 30

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Woe|strong="H1945" to the rebellious|strong="H5637" children|strong="H1121", saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, that take|strong="H6213" counsel|strong="H6098", but not of me; and that cover|strong="H5258" with a covering|strong="H4541", but not of my spirit|strong="H7307", that they may add|strong="H5595" sin|strong="H2403" to sin|strong="H2403":

That walk|strong="H1980" to go down|strong="H3381" into Egypt|strong="H4714", and have not asked|strong="H7592" at my mouth|strong="H6310"; to strengthen|strong="H5810" themselves in the strength|strong="H4581" of Pharaoh|strong="H6547", and to trust|strong="H2620" in the shadow|strong="H6738" of Egypt|strong="H4714"!

Therefore shall the strength|strong="H4581" of Pharaoh|strong="H6547" be your shame|strong="H1322", and the trust|strong="H2622" in the shadow|strong="H6738" of Egypt|strong="H4714" your confusion|strong="H3639".

For his princes|strong="H8269" were at Zoan|strong="H6814", and his ambassadors|strong="H4397" came|strong="H5060" to Hanes|strong="H2609".

They were all ashamed|strong="H3001" of a people|strong="H5971" that could not profit|strong="H3276" them, nor be an help|strong="H5828" nor profit|strong="H3276", but a shame|strong="H1322", and also a reproach|strong="H2781".

The burden|strong="H4853" of the beasts|strong="H0929" of the south|strong="H5045": into the land|strong="H0776" of trouble|strong="H6869" and anguish|strong="H6695", from whence come the young|strong="H3833" and old lion|strong="H3918", the viper|strong="H0660" and fiery|strong="H8314" flying|strong="H5774" serpent|strong="H8314", they will carry|strong="H5375" their riches|strong="H2428" upon the shoulders|strong="H3802" of young asses|strong="H5895", and their treasures|strong="H0214" upon the bunches|strong="H1707" of camels|strong="H1581", to a people|strong="H5971" that shall not profit|strong="H3276" them.

For the Egyptians|strong="H4714" shall help|strong="H5826" in vain|strong="H1892", and to no purpose|strong="H7385": therefore have I cried|strong="H7121" concerning this|strong="H2063", Their|strong="H1992" strength|strong="H7293" is to sit still|strong="H7674".

Now go|strong="H0935", write|strong="H3789" it before them in a table|strong="H3871", and note|strong="H2710" it in a book|strong="H5612", that it may be for the time|strong="H3117" to come|strong="H0314" for|strong="H5704" ever|strong="H5703" and ever|strong="H5769":

That this is a rebellious|strong="H4805" people|strong="H5971", lying|strong="H3586" children|strong="H1121", children|strong="H1121" that will|strong="H0014" not hear|strong="H8085" the law|strong="H8451" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*:

Which say|strong="H0559" to the seers|strong="H7200", See|strong="H7200" not; and to the prophets|strong="H2374", Prophesy|strong="H2372" not unto us right things|strong="H5229", speak|strong="H1696" unto us smooth things|strong="H2513", prophesy|strong="H2372" deceits|strong="H4123":

Get you out|strong="H5493" of the way|strong="H1870", turn aside|strong="H5186" out of the path|strong="H0734", cause the Holy One|strong="H6918" of Israel|strong="H3478" to cease|strong="H7673" from before|strong="H6440" us.

Wherefore thus saith|strong="H0559" the Holy One|strong="H6918" of Israel|strong="H3478", Because ye despise|strong="H3988" this word|strong="H1697", and trust|strong="H0982" in oppression|strong="H6233" and perverseness|strong="H3868", and stay|strong="H8172" thereon:

Therefore this iniquity|strong="H5771" shall be to you as a breach|strong="H6556" ready to fall|strong="H5307", swelling out|strong="H1158" in a high|strong="H7682" wall|strong="H2346", whose breaking|strong="H7667" cometh|strong="H0935" suddenly|strong="H6597" at an instant|strong="H6621".

And he shall break|strong="H7665" it as the breaking|strong="H7667" of the potters’|strong="H3335" vessel|strong="H5035" that is broken in pieces|strong="H3807"; he shall not spare|strong="H2550": so that there shall not be found|strong="H4672" in the bursting|strong="H4386" of it a sherd|strong="H2789" to take|strong="H2846" fire|strong="H0784" from the hearth|strong="H3344", or to take|strong="H2834" water|strong="H4325" withal out of the pit|strong="H1360".

For thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*, the Holy One|strong="H6918" of Israel|strong="H3478"; In returning|strong="H7729" and rest|strong="H5183" shall ye be saved|strong="H3467"; in quietness|strong="H8252" and in confidence|strong="H0985" shall be your strength|strong="H1369": and ye would|strong="H0014" not.

But ye said|strong="H0559", No; for we will flee|strong="H5127" upon horses|strong="H5483"; therefore shall ye flee|strong="H5127": and, We will ride|strong="H7392" upon the swift|strong="H7031"; therefore shall they that pursue|strong="H7291" you be swift|strong="H7043".

One|strong="H0259" thousand|strong="H0505" shall flee at|strong="H6440" the rebuke|strong="H1606" of one|strong="H0259"; at|strong="H6440" the rebuke|strong="H1606" of five|strong="H2568" shall ye flee|strong="H5127": till ye be left|strong="H3498" as a beacon|strong="H8650" upon the top|strong="H7218" of a mountain|strong="H2022", and as an ensign|strong="H5251" on an hill|strong="H1389".

And therefore will the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* wait|strong="H2442", that he may be gracious|strong="H2603" unto you, and therefore will he be exalted|strong="H7311", that he may have mercy|strong="H7355" upon you: for the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* is a God|strong="H0430" of judgment|strong="H4941": blessed|strong="H0835" are all they that wait|strong="H2442" for him.

For the people|strong="H5971" shall dwell|strong="H3427" in Zion|strong="H6726" at Jerusalem|strong="H3389": thou shalt weep|strong="H1058" no more|strong="H1058": he will be very|strong="H2603" gracious|strong="H2603" unto thee at the voice|strong="H6963" of thy cry|strong="H2199"; when he shall hear|strong="H8085" it, he will answer|strong="H6030" thee.

And though the Lord|strong="H0136" give|strong="H5414" you the bread|strong="H3899" of adversity|strong="H6862", and the water|strong="H4325" of affliction|strong="H3906", yet shall not thy teachers|strong="H3384" be removed into a corner|strong="H3670" any more, but thine eyes|strong="H5869" shall see|strong="H7200" thy teachers|strong="H3384":

And thine ears|strong="H0241" shall hear|strong="H8085" a word|strong="H1697" behind|strong="H0310" thee, saying|strong="H0559", This is the way|strong="H1870", walk ye in it|strong="H3212", when ye turn to the right hand|strong="H0541", and when ye turn to the left|strong="H8041".

Ye shall defile|strong="H2930" also the covering|strong="H6826" of thy graven images|strong="H6456" of silver|strong="H3701", and the ornament|strong="H0642" of thy molten images|strong="H4541" of gold|strong="H2091": thou shalt cast them away|strong="H2219" as a menstruous cloth|strong="H1739"; thou shalt say|strong="H0559" unto it, Get thee hence|strong="H3318".

Then shall he give|strong="H5414" the rain|strong="H4306" of thy seed|strong="H2233", that thou shalt sow|strong="H2232" the ground|strong="H0127" withal; and bread|strong="H3899" of the increase|strong="H8393" of the earth|strong="H0127", and it shall be fat|strong="H1879" and plenteous|strong="H8082": in that day|strong="H3117" shall thy cattle|strong="H4735" feed|strong="H7462" in large|strong="H7337" pastures|strong="H3733".

The oxen|strong="H0504" likewise and the young asses|strong="H5895" that ear|strong="H5647" the ground|strong="H0127" shall eat|strong="H0398" clean|strong="H2548" provender|strong="H1098", which hath been winnowed|strong="H2219" with the shovel|strong="H7371" and with the fan|strong="H4214".

And there shall be upon every high|strong="H1364" mountain|strong="H2022", and upon every high|strong="H5375" hill|strong="H1389", rivers|strong="H6388" and streams|strong="H2988" of waters|strong="H4325" in the day|strong="H3117" of the great|strong="H7227" slaughter|strong="H2027", when the towers|strong="H4026" fall|strong="H5307".

Moreover the light|strong="H0216" of the moon|strong="H3842" shall be as the light|strong="H0216" of the sun|strong="H2535", and the light|strong="H0216" of the sun|strong="H2535" shall be sevenfold|strong="H7659", as the light|strong="H0216" of seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117", in the day|strong="H3117" that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* bindeth up|strong="H2280" the breach|strong="H7667" of his people|strong="H5971", and healeth|strong="H7495" the stroke|strong="H4273" of their wound|strong="H4347".

Behold, the name|strong="H8034" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* cometh|strong="H0935" from far|strong="H4801", burning|strong="H1197" with his anger|strong="H0639", and the burden|strong="H4858" thereof is heavy|strong="H3514": his lips|strong="H8193" are full|strong="H4390" of indignation|strong="H2195", and his tongue|strong="H3956" as a devouring|strong="H0398" fire|strong="H0784":

And his breath|strong="H7307", as an overflowing|strong="H7857" stream|strong="H5158", shall reach to the midst|strong="H2673" of the neck|strong="H6677", to sift|strong="H5130" the nations|strong="H1471" with the sieve|strong="H5299" of vanity|strong="H7723": and there shall be a bridle|strong="H7448" in the jaws|strong="H3895" of the people|strong="H5971", causing them to err|strong="H8582".

Ye shall have a song|strong="H7892", as in the night|strong="H3915" when a holy|strong="H6942" solemnity|strong="H2282" is kept|strong="H6942"; and gladness|strong="H8057" of heart|strong="H3824", as when one goeth|strong="H1980" with a pipe|strong="H2485" to come|strong="H0935" into the mountain|strong="H2022" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, to the mighty One|strong="H6697" of Israel|strong="H3478".

And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall cause his glorious|strong="H1935" voice|strong="H6963" to be heard|strong="H8085", and shall shew|strong="H7200" the lighting down|strong="H5183" of his arm|strong="H2220", with the indignation|strong="H2197" of his anger|strong="H0639", and with the flame|strong="H3851" of a devouring|strong="H0398" fire|strong="H0784", with scattering|strong="H5311", and tempest|strong="H2230", and hailstones|strong="H0068".

For through the voice|strong="H6963" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall the Assyrian|strong="H0804" be beaten down|strong="H2865", which smote|strong="H5221" with a rod|strong="H7626".

And in every place|strong="H3605" where the grounded|strong="H4145" staff|strong="H4294" shall pass|strong="H4569", which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall lay|strong="H5117" upon him, it shall be with tabrets|strong="H8596" and harps|strong="H3658": and in battles|strong="H4421" of shaking|strong="H8573" will he fight|strong="H3898" with it.

For Tophet|strong="H8613" is ordained|strong="H6186" of old|strong="H0865"; yea, for the king|strong="H4428" it is prepared|strong="H3559"; he hath made it deep|strong="H6009" and large|strong="H7337": the pile|strong="H4071" thereof is fire|strong="H0784" and much|strong="H7235" wood|strong="H6086"; the breath|strong="H5397" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, like a stream|strong="H5158" of brimstone|strong="H1614", doth kindle|strong="H1197" it.
