Woe|strong="H1945" to them that go down|strong="H3381" to Egypt|strong="H4714" for help|strong="H5833"; and stay|strong="H8172" on horses|strong="H5483", and trust|strong="H0982" in chariots|strong="H7393", because they are many|strong="H7227"; and in horsemen|strong="H6571", because they are very|strong="H3966" strong|strong="H6105"; but they look|strong="H8159" not unto the Holy One|strong="H6918" of Israel|strong="H3478", neither seek|strong="H1875" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*!
Yet he also is wise|strong="H2450", and will bring|strong="H0935" evil|strong="H7451", and will not call back|strong="H5493" his words|strong="H1697": but will arise|strong="H6965" against the house|strong="H1004" of the evildoers|strong="H7489", and against the help|strong="H5833" of them that work|strong="H6466" iniquity|strong="H0205".
Now the Egyptians|strong="H4714" are men|strong="H0120", and not God|strong="H0410"; and their horses|strong="H5483" flesh|strong="H1320", and not spirit|strong="H7307". When the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall stretch out|strong="H5186" his hand|strong="H3027", both he that helpeth|strong="H5826" shall fall|strong="H3782", and he that is holpen|strong="H5826" shall fall down|strong="H5307", and they all shall fail|strong="H3615" together|strong="H3162".
For thus hath the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spoken|strong="H0559" unto me, Like as the lion|strong="H0738" and the young lion|strong="H3715" roaring|strong="H1897" on his prey|strong="H2964", when a multitude|strong="H4393" of shepherds|strong="H7462" is called forth|strong="H7121" against him, he will not be afraid|strong="H2865" of their voice|strong="H6963", nor abase|strong="H6031" himself for the noise|strong="H1995" of them: so shall the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635" come down|strong="H3381" to fight|strong="H6633" for mount|strong="H2022" Zion|strong="H6726", and for the hill|strong="H1389" thereof.
As birds|strong="H6833" flying|strong="H5774", so will the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635" defend|strong="H1598" Jerusalem|strong="H3389"; defending|strong="H1598" also he will deliver|strong="H5337" it; and passing over|strong="H6452" he will preserve|strong="H4422" it.
Turn|strong="H7725" ye unto him from whom the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" have deeply|strong="H6009" revolted|strong="H5627".
For in that day|strong="H3117" every man|strong="H0376" shall cast away|strong="H3988" his idols|strong="H0457" of silver|strong="H3701", and his idols|strong="H0457" of gold|strong="H2091", which your own hands|strong="H3027" have made|strong="H6213" unto you for a sin|strong="H2399".
Then shall the Assyrian|strong="H0804" fall|strong="H5307" with the sword|strong="H2719", not of a mighty man|strong="H0376"; and the sword|strong="H2719", not of a mean man|strong="H0120", shall devour|strong="H0398" him: but he shall flee|strong="H5127" from|strong="H6440" the sword|strong="H2719", and his young men|strong="H0970" shall be discomfited|strong="H4522".
And he shall pass over|strong="H5674" to his strong hold|strong="H5553" for fear|strong="H4032", and his princes|strong="H8269" shall be afraid|strong="H2865" of the ensign|strong="H5251", saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, whose fire|strong="H0217" is in Zion|strong="H6726", and his furnace|strong="H8574" in Jerusalem|strong="H3389".
