The burden|strong="H4853" of the valley|strong="H1516" of vision|strong="H2384". What aileth thee now|strong="H0645", that thou art wholly gone up|strong="H5927" to the housetops|strong="H1406"?
Thou that art full|strong="H4392" of stirs|strong="H8663", a tumultuous|strong="H1993" city|strong="H5892", a joyous|strong="H5947" city|strong="H7151": thy slain|strong="H2491" men are not slain|strong="H2491" with the sword|strong="H2719", nor dead|strong="H4191" in battle|strong="H4421".
All thy rulers|strong="H7101" are fled|strong="H5074" together|strong="H3162", they are bound|strong="H0631" by the archers|strong="H7198": all that are found|strong="H4672" in thee are bound|strong="H0631" together|strong="H3162", which have fled|strong="H1272" from far|strong="H7350".
Therefore said|strong="H0559" I, Look away|strong="H8159" from me; I will weep|strong="H1065" bitterly|strong="H4843", labour|strong="H0213" not to comfort|strong="H5162" me, because of the spoiling|strong="H7701" of the daughter|strong="H1323" of my people|strong="H5971".
For it is a day|strong="H3117" of trouble|strong="H4103", and of treading down|strong="H4001", and of perplexity|strong="H3998" by the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635" in the valley|strong="H1516" of vision|strong="H2384", breaking|strong="H6979" down the walls|strong="H7023", and of crying|strong="H7771" to the mountains|strong="H2022".
And Elam|strong="H5867" bare|strong="H5375" the quiver|strong="H0827" with chariots|strong="H7393" of men|strong="H0120" and horsemen|strong="H6571", and Kir|strong="H7024" uncovered|strong="H6168" the shield|strong="H4043".
And it shall come to pass, that thy choicest|strong="H4005" valleys|strong="H6010" shall be full|strong="H4390" of chariots|strong="H7393", and the horsemen|strong="H6571" shall set|strong="H7896" themselves in array|strong="H7896" at the gate|strong="H8179".
And he discovered|strong="H1540" the covering|strong="H4539" of Judah|strong="H3063", and thou didst look|strong="H5027" in that day|strong="H3117" to the armour|strong="H5402" of the house|strong="H1004" of the forest|strong="H3293".
Ye have seen|strong="H7200" also the breaches|strong="H1233" of the city|strong="H5892" of David|strong="H1732", that they are many|strong="H7231": and ye gathered together|strong="H6908" the waters|strong="H4325" of the lower|strong="H8481" pool|strong="H1295".
And ye have numbered|strong="H5608" the houses|strong="H1004" of Jerusalem|strong="H3389", and the houses|strong="H1004" have ye broken down|strong="H5422" to fortify|strong="H1219" the wall|strong="H2346".
Ye made|strong="H6213" also a ditch|strong="H4724" between the two walls|strong="H2346" for the water|strong="H4325" of the old|strong="H3465" pool|strong="H1295": but ye have not looked|strong="H5027" unto the maker|strong="H6213" thereof, neither had respect|strong="H7200" unto him that fashioned|strong="H3335" it long ago|strong="H7350".
And in that day|strong="H3117" did the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635" call|strong="H7121" to weeping|strong="H1065", and to mourning|strong="H4553", and to baldness|strong="H7144", and to girding|strong="H2296" with sackcloth|strong="H8242":
And behold joy|strong="H8342" and gladness|strong="H8057", slaying|strong="H2026" oxen|strong="H1241", and killing|strong="H7819" sheep|strong="H6629", eating|strong="H0398" flesh|strong="H1320", and drinking|strong="H8354" wine|strong="H3196": let us eat|strong="H0398" and drink|strong="H8354"; for to morrow|strong="H4279" we shall die|strong="H4191".
And it was revealed|strong="H1540" in mine ears|strong="H0241" by the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635", Surely this iniquity|strong="H5771" shall not be purged|strong="H3722" from you till ye die|strong="H4191", saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635".
Thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635", Go|strong="H3212", get|strong="H0935" thee unto this treasurer|strong="H5532", even unto Shebna|strong="H7644", which is over the house|strong="H1004", and say,
What hast thou here? and whom hast thou here, that thou hast hewed thee out|strong="H2672" a sepulchre|strong="H6913" here|strong="H6311", as he that heweth him out|strong="H2672" a sepulchre|strong="H6913" on high|strong="H4791", and that graveth|strong="H2710" an habitation|strong="H4908" for himself in a rock|strong="H5553"?
Behold, the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* will carry thee away|strong="H2904" with a mighty|strong="H1397" captivity|strong="H2925", and will surely|strong="H5844" cover|strong="H5844" thee.
He will surely|strong="H6801" violently turn|strong="H6801" and toss|strong="H6802" thee like a ball|strong="H1754" into a large|strong="H7342" country|strong="H0776": there shalt thou die|strong="H4191", and there the chariots|strong="H4818" of thy glory|strong="H3519" shall be the shame|strong="H7036" of thy lord’s|strong="H0113" house|strong="H1004".
And I will drive|strong="H1920" thee from thy station|strong="H4673", and from thy state|strong="H4612" shall he pull thee down|strong="H2040".
And it shall come to pass in that day|strong="H3117", that I will call|strong="H7121" my servant|strong="H5650" Eliakim|strong="H0471" the son|strong="H1121" of Hilkiah|strong="H2518":
And I will clothe|strong="H3847" him with thy robe|strong="H3801", and strengthen|strong="H2388" him with thy girdle|strong="H0073", and I will commit|strong="H5414" thy government|strong="H4475" into his hand|strong="H3027": and he shall be a father|strong="H0001" to the inhabitants|strong="H3427" of Jerusalem|strong="H3389", and to the house|strong="H1004" of Judah|strong="H3063".
And the key|strong="H4668" of the house|strong="H1004" of David|strong="H1732" will I lay|strong="H5414" upon his shoulder|strong="H7926"; so he shall open|strong="H6605", and none shall shut|strong="H5462"; and he shall shut|strong="H5462", and none shall open|strong="H6605".
And I will fasten|strong="H8628" him as a nail|strong="H3489" in a sure|strong="H0539" place|strong="H4725"; and he shall be for a glorious|strong="H3519" throne|strong="H3678" to his father’s|strong="H0001" house|strong="H1004".
And they shall hang|strong="H8518" upon him all the glory|strong="H3519" of his father’s|strong="H0001" house|strong="H1004", the offspring|strong="H6631" and the issue|strong="H6849", all vessels|strong="H3627" of small|strong="H6996" quantity, from the vessels|strong="H3627" of cups|strong="H0101", even to all the vessels|strong="H3627" of flagons|strong="H5035".
In that day|strong="H3117", saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635", shall the nail|strong="H3489" that is fastened|strong="H8628" in the sure|strong="H0539" place|strong="H4725" be removed|strong="H4185", and be cut down|strong="H1438", and fall|strong="H5307"; and the burden|strong="H4853" that was upon it shall be cut off|strong="H3772": for the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath spoken|strong="H1696" it.
