And the famine|strong="H7458" was sore|strong="H3515" in the land|strong="H0776".
And it came to pass, when they had eaten up|strong="H3615" the corn|strong="H7668" which they had brought out|strong="H0935" of Egypt|strong="H4714", their father|strong="H0001" said|strong="H0559" unto them, Go again|strong="H7725", buy|strong="H7666" us a little|strong="H4592" food|strong="H0400".
And Judah|strong="H3063" spake|strong="H0559" unto him, saying|strong="H0559", The man|strong="H0376" did solemnly|strong="H5749" protest|strong="H5749" unto us, saying|strong="H0559", Ye shall not see|strong="H7200" my face|strong="H6440", except|strong="H1115" your brother|strong="H0251" be with you.
If thou wilt|strong="H3426" send|strong="H7971" our brother|strong="H0251" with us, we will go down|strong="H3381" and buy|strong="H7666" thee food|strong="H0400":
But if thou wilt not send|strong="H7971" him, we will not go down|strong="H3381": for the man|strong="H0376" said|strong="H0559" unto us, Ye shall not see|strong="H7200" my face|strong="H6440", except your brother|strong="H0251" be with you.
And Israel|strong="H3478" said|strong="H0559", Wherefore dealt ye so ill|strong="H7489" with me, as to tell|strong="H5046" the man|strong="H0376" whether ye had yet a brother|strong="H0251"?
And they said|strong="H0559", The man|strong="H0376" asked|strong="H7592" us straitly|strong="H7592" of our state, and of our kindred|strong="H4138", saying|strong="H0559", Is your father|strong="H0001" yet alive|strong="H2416"? have ye|strong="H3426" another brother|strong="H0251"? and we told|strong="H5046" him according|strong="H5921" to the tenor|strong="H6310" of these words|strong="H1697": could we certainly|strong="H3045" know|strong="H3045" that he would say|strong="H0559", Bring|strong="H3381" your brother|strong="H0251" down|strong="H3381"?
And Judah|strong="H3063" said|strong="H0559" unto Israel|strong="H3478" his father|strong="H0001", Send|strong="H7971" the lad|strong="H5288" with me, and we will arise|strong="H6965" and go|strong="H3212"; that we may live|strong="H2421", and not die|strong="H4191", both we, and thou, and also our little ones|strong="H2945".
I will be surety|strong="H6148" for him; of my hand|strong="H3027" shalt thou require|strong="H1245" him: if|strong="H0518" I bring|strong="H0935" him not|strong="H0518" unto thee, and set|strong="H3322" him before thee|strong="H6440", then let me bear the blame|strong="H2398" for ever|strong="H3117":
For except|strong="H3884" we had lingered|strong="H4102", surely now we had returned|strong="H7725" this second time|strong="H6471".
And their father|strong="H0001" Israel|strong="H3478" said|strong="H0559" unto them, If it must be so now|strong="H0645", do|strong="H6213" this; take|strong="H3947" of the best fruits|strong="H2173" in the land|strong="H0776" in your vessels|strong="H3627", and carry down|strong="H3381" the man|strong="H0376" a present|strong="H4503", a little|strong="H4592" balm|strong="H6875", and a little|strong="H4592" honey|strong="H1706", spices|strong="H5219", and myrrh|strong="H3910", nuts|strong="H0992", and almonds|strong="H8247":
And take|strong="H3947" double|strong="H4932" money|strong="H3701" in your hand|strong="H3027"; and the money|strong="H3701" that was brought again|strong="H7725" in the mouth|strong="H6310" of your sacks|strong="H0572", carry it again|strong="H7725" in your hand|strong="H3027"; peradventure it was an oversight|strong="H4870":
Take|strong="H3947" also your brother|strong="H0251", and arise|strong="H6965", go again|strong="H7725" unto the man|strong="H0376":
And God|strong="H0410" Almighty|strong="H7706" give|strong="H5414" you mercy|strong="H7356" before|strong="H6440" the man|strong="H0376", that he may send away|strong="H7971" your other|strong="H0312" brother|strong="H0251", and Benjamin|strong="H1144". If|strong="H0834" I be bereaved|strong="H7921" of my children, I am bereaved|strong="H7921".
And the men|strong="H0582" took|strong="H3947" that|strong="H2063" present|strong="H4503", and they took|strong="H3947" double|strong="H4932" money|strong="H3701" in their hand|strong="H3027", and Benjamin|strong="H1144"; and rose up|strong="H6965", and went down|strong="H3381" to Egypt|strong="H4714", and stood|strong="H5975" before|strong="H6440" Joseph|strong="H3130".
And when Joseph|strong="H3130" saw|strong="H7200" Benjamin|strong="H1144" with|strong="H0854" them, he said|strong="H0559" to the ruler of his house|strong="H1004", Bring|strong="H0935" these men|strong="H0582" home|strong="H1004", and slay|strong="H2873", and make ready|strong="H3559"; for these men|strong="H0582" shall dine|strong="H0398" with me at noon|strong="H6672".
And the man|strong="H0376" did|strong="H6213" as Joseph|strong="H3130" bade|strong="H0559"; and the man|strong="H0376" brought|strong="H0935" the men|strong="H0582" into Joseph’s|strong="H3130" house|strong="H1004".
And the men|strong="H0582" were afraid|strong="H3372", because they were brought|strong="H0935" into Joseph’s|strong="H3130" house|strong="H1004"; and they said|strong="H0559", Because|strong="H1697" of the money|strong="H3701" that was returned|strong="H7725" in our sacks|strong="H0572" at the first time|strong="H8462" are we brought in|strong="H0935"; that he may seek occasion|strong="H1556" against us, and fall|strong="H5307" upon us, and take|strong="H3947" us for bondmen|strong="H5650", and our asses|strong="H2543".
And they came near|strong="H5066" to the steward|strong="H0376" of Joseph’s|strong="H3130" house|strong="H1004", and they communed|strong="H1696" with him at the door|strong="H6607" of the house|strong="H1004",
And said|strong="H0559", O|strong="H0994" sir|strong="H0113", we came indeed|strong="H3381" down|strong="H3381" at the first time|strong="H8462" to buy|strong="H7666" food|strong="H0400":
And it came to pass, when we came|strong="H0935" to the inn|strong="H4411", that we opened|strong="H6605" our sacks|strong="H0572", and, behold, every man’s|strong="H0376" money|strong="H3701" was in the mouth|strong="H6310" of his sack|strong="H0572", our money|strong="H3701" in full weight|strong="H4948": and we have brought it again|strong="H7725" in our hand|strong="H3027".
And other|strong="H0312" money|strong="H3701" have we brought down|strong="H3381" in our hands|strong="H3027" to buy|strong="H7666" food|strong="H0400": we cannot tell|strong="H3045" who put|strong="H7760" our money|strong="H3701" in our sacks|strong="H0572".
And he said|strong="H0559", Peace|strong="H7965" be to you, fear|strong="H3372" not: your God|strong="H0430", and the God|strong="H0430" of your father|strong="H0001", hath given|strong="H5414" you treasure|strong="H4301" in your sacks|strong="H0572": I had|strong="H0935" your money|strong="H3701". And he brought|strong="H3318" Simeon|strong="H8095" out unto them.
And the man|strong="H0376" brought|strong="H0935" the men|strong="H0582" into Joseph’s|strong="H3130" house|strong="H1004", and gave|strong="H5414" them water|strong="H4325", and they washed|strong="H7364" their feet|strong="H7272"; and he gave|strong="H5414" their asses|strong="H2543" provender|strong="H4554".
And they made ready|strong="H3559" the present|strong="H4503" against|strong="H5704" Joseph|strong="H3130" came|strong="H0935" at noon|strong="H6672": for they heard|strong="H8085" that they should eat|strong="H0398" bread|strong="H3899" there.
And when Joseph|strong="H3130" came|strong="H0935" home|strong="H1004", they brought|strong="H0935" him the present|strong="H4503" which was in their hand|strong="H3027" into the house|strong="H1004", and bowed|strong="H7812" themselves to him to the earth|strong="H0776".
And he asked|strong="H7592" them of their welfare|strong="H7965", and said|strong="H0559", Is your father|strong="H0001" well|strong="H7965", the old man|strong="H2205" of whom ye spake|strong="H0559"? Is he yet alive|strong="H2416"?
And they answered|strong="H0559", Thy servant|strong="H5650" our father|strong="H0001" is in good health|strong="H7965", he is yet alive|strong="H2416". And they bowed down their heads|strong="H6915", and made obeisance|strong="H7812".
And he lifted up|strong="H5375" his eyes|strong="H5869", and saw|strong="H7200" his brother|strong="H0251" Benjamin|strong="H1144", his mother’s|strong="H0517" son|strong="H1121", and said|strong="H0559", Is this your younger|strong="H6996" brother|strong="H0251", of whom ye spake|strong="H0559" unto me? And he said|strong="H0559", God|strong="H0430" be gracious|strong="H2603" unto thee, my son|strong="H1121".
And Joseph|strong="H3130" made haste|strong="H4116"; for his bowels|strong="H7356" did yearn|strong="H3648" upon his brother|strong="H0251": and he sought|strong="H1245" where to weep|strong="H1058"; and he entered|strong="H0935" into his chamber|strong="H2315", and wept|strong="H1058" there.
And he washed|strong="H7364" his face|strong="H6440", and went out|strong="H3318", and refrained|strong="H0662" himself, and said|strong="H0559", Set on|strong="H7760" bread|strong="H3899".
And they set on|strong="H7760" for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians|strong="H4713", which did eat|strong="H0398" with him, by themselves: because the Egyptians|strong="H4713" might|strong="H3201" not eat|strong="H0398" bread|strong="H3899" with the Hebrews|strong="H5680"; for that is an abomination|strong="H8441" unto the Egyptians|strong="H4714".
And they sat|strong="H3427" before him|strong="H6440", the firstborn|strong="H1060" according to his birthright|strong="H1062", and the youngest|strong="H6810" according to his youth|strong="H6812": and the men|strong="H0582" marvelled|strong="H8539" one|strong="H0376" at another|strong="H7453".
And he took|strong="H5375" and sent messes|strong="H4864" unto them from before him|strong="H6440": but Benjamin’s|strong="H1144" mess|strong="H4864" was five|strong="H2568" times|strong="H3027" so much as|strong="H7235" any of theirs. And they drank|strong="H8354", and were merry|strong="H7937" with him.
