1 And Abraham|strong="H0085" journeyed|strong="H5265" from thence toward the south|strong="H5045" country|strong="H0776", and dwelled|strong="H3427" between Kadesh|strong="H6946" and Shur|strong="H7793", and sojourned|strong="H1481" in Gerar|strong="H1642".
1 Abraão partiu dali para região do Negeb. Estabeleceu-se entre Cadés e Sur, e viveu algum tempo em Gerara.
2 And Abraham|strong="H0085" said|strong="H0559" of|strong="H0413" Sarah|strong="H8283" his wife|strong="H0802", She is my sister|strong="H0269": and Abimelech|strong="H0040" king|strong="H4428" of Gerar|strong="H1642" sent|strong="H7971", and took|strong="H3947" Sarah|strong="H8283".
2 Ele dizia de Sara, sua mulher, que ela era sua irmã. Abimelec, rei de Gerara, arrebatou-lha.
3 But God|strong="H0430" came|strong="H0935" to Abimelech|strong="H0040" in a dream|strong="H2472" by night|strong="H3915", and said|strong="H0559" to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man|strong="H4191", for the woman|strong="H0802" which thou hast taken|strong="H3947"; for she is a man’s|strong="H1167" wife|strong="H1166".
3 Mas Deus apareceu em sonhos a Abimelec e disse-lhe: Vais morrer, por causa da mulher que roubaste, porque é casada.
4 But Abimelech|strong="H0040" had not come near|strong="H7126" her: and he said|strong="H0559", Lord|strong="H0136", wilt thou slay|strong="H2026" also a righteous|strong="H6662" nation|strong="H1471"?
4 Abimelec, que não a tinha tocado {ainda}, disse: Senhor, fareis perecer mesmo inocentes?
5 Said|strong="H0559" he not unto me, She|strong="H1931" is my sister|strong="H0269"? and she|strong="H1931", even|strong="H1571" she|strong="H1931" herself said|strong="H0559", He is my brother|strong="H0251": in the integrity|strong="H8537" of my heart|strong="H3824" and innocency|strong="H5356" of my hands|strong="H3709" have I done|strong="H6213" this.
5 Não me disse ele que ela era sua irmã? E ela mesma me disse: É meu irmão. É na simplicidade de meu coração e com as mãos puras que fiz isso.
6 And God|strong="H0430" said|strong="H0559" unto him in a dream|strong="H2472", Yea|strong="H1571", I know|strong="H3045" that thou didst|strong="H6213" this in the integrity|strong="H8537" of thy heart|strong="H3824"; for I also withheld|strong="H2820" thee from sinning|strong="H2398" against me: therefore suffered|strong="H5414" I thee not to touch|strong="H5060" her.
6 Deus disse-lhe em sonhos: Sei que é na simplicidade do teu coração que agiste assim; por isso, preservei-te de pecar contra mim, e não deixei que a tocasses.
7 Now therefore restore|strong="H7725" the man|strong="H0376" his wife|strong="H0802"; for he is a prophet|strong="H5030", and he shall pray|strong="H6419" for thee|strong="H1157", and thou shalt live|strong="H2421": and if thou restore|strong="H7725" her not, know|strong="H3045" thou that thou shalt surely|strong="H4191" die|strong="H4191", thou, and all that are thine.
7 Devolve agora a mulher deste homem, que é profeta, e ele rogará por ti para que conserves a vida. Mas, se não a devolveres, sabes que morrerás seguramente, tu e todos os teus.
8 Therefore Abimelech|strong="H0040" rose early|strong="H7925" in the morning|strong="H1242", and called|strong="H7121" all his servants|strong="H5650", and told|strong="H1696" all these things|strong="H1697" in their ears|strong="H0241": and the men|strong="H0582" were sore|strong="H3966" afraid|strong="H3372".
8 Ao romper da manhã, Abimelec convocou todos os seus servos e referiu-lhes essas coisas. Todos ficaram muito atemorizados.
9 Then Abimelech|strong="H0040" called|strong="H7121" Abraham|strong="H0085", and said|strong="H0559" unto him, What hast thou done|strong="H6213" unto us? and what have I offended|strong="H2398" thee, that thou hast brought|strong="H0935" on me and on my kingdom|strong="H4467" a great|strong="H1419" sin|strong="H2401"? thou hast done|strong="H6213" deeds|strong="H4639" unto me that ought not to be done|strong="H6213".
9 Depois, Abimelec chamou Abraão e disse-lhe: Que nos fizeste? Em que te ofendi para que nos expusesses, a mim e ao meu reino, ao castigo de um tão grande pecado. Fizeste-me o que não devias fazer.
10 And Abimelech|strong="H0040" said|strong="H0559" unto Abraham|strong="H0085", What|strong="H4100" sawest thou|strong="H7200", that thou hast done|strong="H6213" this thing|strong="H1697"?
10 E ajuntou: Que tiveste em vista agindo assim?
11 And Abraham|strong="H0085" said|strong="H0559", Because I thought|strong="H0559", Surely|strong="H7535" the fear|strong="H3374" of God|strong="H0430" is not in this place|strong="H4725"; and they will slay me|strong="H2026" for my wife’s|strong="H0802" sake|strong="H1697".
11 Abraão respondeu: Eu pensava comigo que não havia certamente nenhum temor a Deus nesta terra, e que me matariam por causa de minha mulher.
12 And yet indeed|strong="H0546" she is my sister|strong="H0269"; she is the daughter|strong="H1323" of my father|strong="H0001", but not the daughter|strong="H1323" of my mother|strong="H0517"; and she became my wife|strong="H0802".
12 Aliás, ela é realmente minha irmã, filha de meu pai, mas não de minha mãe; ela tornou-se minha mulher.
13 And it came to pass, when God|strong="H0430" caused me to wander|strong="H8582" from my father’s|strong="H0001" house|strong="H1004", that I said|strong="H0559" unto her, This is thy kindness|strong="H2617" which thou shalt shew|strong="H6213" unto me; at every place|strong="H4725" whither we shall come|strong="H0935", say|strong="H0559" of me, He is my brother|strong="H0251".
13 Quando Deus me tirou da casa de meu pai, eu disse-lhe: Faze-me esta graça: onde quer que formos, dirás de mim que sou teu irmão.
14 And Abimelech|strong="H0040" took|strong="H3947" sheep|strong="H6629", and oxen|strong="H1241", and menservants|strong="H5650", and womenservants|strong="H8198", and gave|strong="H5414" them unto Abraham|strong="H0085", and restored|strong="H7725" him Sarah|strong="H8283" his wife|strong="H0802".
14 Tomou então Abimelec ovelhas, bois, servos e servas, e deu-os a Abraão, ao mesmo tempo que lhe devolvia Sara, sua mulher.
15 And Abimelech|strong="H0040" said|strong="H0559", Behold, my land|strong="H0776" is before thee|strong="H6440": dwell|strong="H3427" where it pleaseth|strong="H2896" thee.
15 E disse-lhe: Minha terra está à tua disposição: fixa-te onde quiseres.
16 And unto Sarah|strong="H8283" he said|strong="H0559", Behold, I have given|strong="H5414" thy brother|strong="H0251" a thousand|strong="H0505" pieces of silver|strong="H3701": behold, he is to thee a covering|strong="H3682" of the eyes|strong="H5869", unto all that are with thee, and with all other: thus she was reproved|strong="H3198".
16 Disse também a Sara: Dou a teu irmão mil moedas de prata: isto te será um véu sobre os olhos para todos aqueles que estão contigo; eis-te justificada.
17 So Abraham|strong="H0085" prayed|strong="H6419" unto God|strong="H0430": and God|strong="H0430" healed|strong="H7495" Abimelech|strong="H0040", and his wife|strong="H0802", and his maidservants|strong="H0519"; and they bare|strong="H3205" children.
17 Abraão intercedeu junto de Deus, que curou Abimelec, sua mulher e suas servas, e deram novamente à luz.
18 For the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* had fast|strong="H6113" closed up|strong="H6113" all the wombs|strong="H7358" of the house|strong="H1004" of Abimelech|strong="H0040", because|strong="H1697" of Sarah|strong="H8283" Abraham’s|strong="H0085" wife|strong="H0802".
18 Porque o Senhor tinha ferido de esterilidade todas as mulheres da casa de Abimelec, por causa de Sara, mulher de Abraão.
