1 And when Abram|strong="H0087" was ninety|strong="H8673" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1121" and nine|strong="H8672", the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* appeared|strong="H7200" to Abram|strong="H0087", and said|strong="H0559" unto him, I am the Almighty|strong="H7706" God|strong="H0410"; walk|strong="H1980" before me|strong="H6440", and be thou perfect|strong="H8549".
2 And I will make|strong="H5414" my covenant|strong="H1285" between me and thee, and will multiply|strong="H7235" thee exceedingly|strong="H3966".
3 And Abram|strong="H0087" fell|strong="H5307" on his face|strong="H6440": and God|strong="H0430" talked|strong="H1696" with him, saying|strong="H0559",
4 As for me|strong="H0589", behold, my covenant|strong="H1285" is with thee, and thou shalt be a father|strong="H0001" of many|strong="H1995" nations|strong="H1471".
5 Neither shall thy name|strong="H8034" any more be called|strong="H7121" Abram|strong="H0087", but thy name|strong="H8034" shall be Abraham|strong="H0085"; for a father|strong="H0001" of many|strong="H1995" nations|strong="H1471" have I made thee|strong="H5414".
6 And I will make|strong="H6509" thee exceeding|strong="H3966" fruitful|strong="H6509", and I will make|strong="H5414" nations|strong="H1471" of thee, and kings|strong="H4428" shall come out|strong="H3318" of thee.
7 And I will establish|strong="H6965" my covenant|strong="H1285" between me and thee and thy seed|strong="H2233" after thee|strong="H0310" in their generations|strong="H1755" for an everlasting|strong="H5769" covenant|strong="H1285", to be a God|strong="H0430" unto thee, and to thy seed|strong="H2233" after thee|strong="H0310".
8 And I will give|strong="H5414" unto thee, and to thy seed|strong="H2233" after thee|strong="H0310", the land|strong="H0776" wherein thou art a stranger|strong="H4033", all the land|strong="H0776" of Canaan|strong="H3667", for an everlasting|strong="H5769" possession|strong="H0272"; and I will be their God|strong="H0430".
9 And God|strong="H0430" said|strong="H0559" unto Abraham|strong="H0085", Thou shalt keep|strong="H8104" my covenant|strong="H1285" therefore, thou, and thy seed|strong="H2233" after thee|strong="H0310" in their generations|strong="H1755".
10 This is my covenant|strong="H1285", which ye shall keep|strong="H8104", between me and you and thy seed|strong="H2233" after thee|strong="H0310"; Every man child|strong="H2145" among you shall be circumcised|strong="H4135".
11 And ye shall circumcise|strong="H5243" the flesh|strong="H1320" of your foreskin|strong="H6190"; and it shall be a token|strong="H0226" of the covenant|strong="H1285" betwixt me and you.
12 And he that is eight|strong="H8083" days|strong="H3117" old|strong="H1121" shall be circumcised|strong="H4135" among you, every man child|strong="H2145" in your generations|strong="H1755", he that is born|strong="H3211" in the house|strong="H1004", or bought|strong="H4736" with money|strong="H3701" of any stranger|strong="H1121", which is not of thy seed|strong="H2233".
13 He that is born|strong="H3211" in thy house|strong="H1004", and he that is bought|strong="H4736" with thy money|strong="H3701", must needs|strong="H4135" be circumcised|strong="H4135": and my covenant|strong="H1285" shall be in your flesh|strong="H1320" for an everlasting|strong="H5769" covenant|strong="H1285".
14 And the uncircumcised|strong="H6189" man child|strong="H2145" whose|strong="H0834" flesh|strong="H1320" of his foreskin|strong="H6190" is not circumcised|strong="H4135", that soul|strong="H5315" shall be cut off|strong="H3772" from his people|strong="H5971"; he hath broken|strong="H6565" my covenant|strong="H1285".
15 And God|strong="H0430" said|strong="H0559" unto Abraham|strong="H0085", As for Sarai|strong="H8297" thy wife|strong="H0802", thou shalt not call|strong="H7121" her name|strong="H8034" Sarai|strong="H8297", but|strong="H3588" Sarah|strong="H8283" shall her name|strong="H8034" be.
16 And I will bless|strong="H1288" her, and give|strong="H5414" thee a son|strong="H1121" also of her: yea, I will bless|strong="H1288" her, and she shall be a mother of nations|strong="H1471"; kings|strong="H4428" of people|strong="H5971" shall be of her.
17 Then Abraham|strong="H0085" fell|strong="H5307" upon his face|strong="H6440", and laughed|strong="H6711", and said|strong="H0559" in his heart|strong="H3820", Shall a child be born|strong="H3205" unto him that is an hundred|strong="H3967" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1121"? and shall Sarah|strong="H8283", that is ninety|strong="H8673" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1323", bear|strong="H3205"?
18 And Abraham|strong="H0085" said|strong="H0559" unto God|strong="H0430", O that|strong="H3863" Ishmael|strong="H3458" might live|strong="H2421" before thee|strong="H6440"!
19 And God|strong="H0430" said|strong="H0559", Sarah|strong="H8283" thy wife|strong="H0802" shall bear|strong="H3205" thee a son|strong="H1121" indeed|strong="H0061"; and thou shalt call|strong="H7121" his name|strong="H8034" Isaac|strong="H3327": and I will establish|strong="H6965" my covenant|strong="H1285" with him for an everlasting|strong="H5769" covenant|strong="H1285", and with his seed|strong="H2233" after him|strong="H0310".
20 And as for Ishmael|strong="H3458", I have heard thee|strong="H8085": Behold, I have blessed|strong="H1288" him, and will make him fruitful|strong="H6509", and will multiply|strong="H7235" him exceedingly|strong="H3966"; twelve|strong="H6240" princes|strong="H5387" shall he beget|strong="H3205", and I will make him|strong="H5414" a great|strong="H1419" nation|strong="H1471".
21 But my covenant|strong="H1285" will I establish|strong="H6965" with Isaac|strong="H3327", which Sarah|strong="H8283" shall bear|strong="H3205" unto thee at this set time|strong="H4150" in the next|strong="H0312" year|strong="H8141".
22 And he left off|strong="H3615" talking|strong="H1696" with him, and God|strong="H0430" went up|strong="H5927" from Abraham|strong="H0085".
23 And Abraham|strong="H0085" took|strong="H3947" Ishmael|strong="H3458" his son|strong="H1121", and all that were born|strong="H3211" in his house|strong="H1004", and all that were bought|strong="H4736" with his money|strong="H3701", every male|strong="H2145" among the men|strong="H0582" of Abraham’s|strong="H0085" house|strong="H1004"; and circumcised|strong="H4135" the flesh|strong="H1320" of their foreskin|strong="H6190" in the selfsame|strong="H6106" day|strong="H3117", as God|strong="H0430" had said|strong="H1696" unto him.
24 And Abraham|strong="H0085" was ninety|strong="H8673" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1121" and nine|strong="H8672", when he was circumcised|strong="H4135" in the flesh|strong="H1320" of his foreskin|strong="H6190".
25 And Ishmael|strong="H3458" his son|strong="H1121" was thirteen|strong="H6240" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1121", when he was circumcised|strong="H4135" in the flesh|strong="H1320" of his foreskin|strong="H6190".
26 In the selfsame|strong="H6106" day|strong="H3117" was Abraham|strong="H0085" circumcised|strong="H4135", and Ishmael|strong="H3458" his son|strong="H1121".
27 And all the men|strong="H0582" of his house|strong="H1004", born|strong="H3211" in the house|strong="H1004", and bought|strong="H4736" with money|strong="H3701" of the stranger|strong="H1121", were circumcised|strong="H4135" with him.
