Gênesis 16

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Now Sarai|strong="H8297" Abram’s|strong="H0087" wife|strong="H0802" bare|strong="H3205" him no|strong="H3808" children|strong="H3205": and she had an handmaid|strong="H8198", an Egyptian|strong="H4713", whose name|strong="H8034" was Hagar|strong="H1904".

And Sarai|strong="H8297" said|strong="H0559" unto Abram|strong="H0087", Behold now, the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath restrained me|strong="H6113" from bearing|strong="H3205": I pray thee, go in|strong="H0935" unto my maid|strong="H8198"; it may|strong="H0194" be that I may obtain children|strong="H1129" by her. And Abram|strong="H0087" hearkened|strong="H8085" to the voice|strong="H6963" of Sarai|strong="H8297".

And Sarai|strong="H8297" Abram’s|strong="H0087" wife|strong="H0802" took|strong="H3947" Hagar|strong="H1904" her maid|strong="H8198" the Egyptian|strong="H4713", after|strong="H7093" Abram|strong="H0087" had dwelt|strong="H3427" ten|strong="H6235" years|strong="H8141" in the land|strong="H0776" of Canaan|strong="H3667", and gave|strong="H5414" her to her husband|strong="H0376" Abram|strong="H0087" to be his wife|strong="H0802".

And he went in|strong="H0935" unto Hagar|strong="H1904", and she conceived|strong="H2029": and when she saw|strong="H7200" that she had conceived|strong="H2029", her mistress|strong="H1404" was despised|strong="H7043" in her eyes|strong="H5869".

And Sarai|strong="H8297" said|strong="H0559" unto Abram|strong="H0087", My wrong|strong="H2555" be upon thee: I have given|strong="H5414" my maid|strong="H8198" into thy bosom|strong="H2436"; and when she saw|strong="H7200" that she had conceived|strong="H2029", I was despised|strong="H7043" in her eyes|strong="H5869": the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* judge|strong="H8199" between me and thee.

But Abram|strong="H0087" said|strong="H0559" unto Sarai|strong="H8297", Behold, thy maid|strong="H8198" is in thy hand|strong="H3027"; do|strong="H6213" to her as it pleaseth thee|strong="H2896". And when Sarai|strong="H8297" dealt hardly with|strong="H6031" her, she fled|strong="H1272" from her face|strong="H6440".

And the angel|strong="H4397" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* found her|strong="H4672" by a fountain|strong="H5869" of water|strong="H4325" in the wilderness|strong="H4057", by the fountain|strong="H5869" in the way|strong="H1870" to Shur|strong="H7793".

And he said|strong="H0559", Hagar|strong="H1904", Sarai’s|strong="H8297" maid|strong="H8198", whence|strong="H0335" camest thou|strong="H0935"? and whither wilt thou go|strong="H3212"? And she said|strong="H0559", I flee|strong="H1272" from the face|strong="H6440" of my mistress|strong="H1404" Sarai|strong="H8297".

And the angel|strong="H4397" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto her, Return|strong="H7725" to thy mistress|strong="H1404", and submit|strong="H6031" thyself under her hands|strong="H3027".

And the angel|strong="H4397" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto her, I will multiply|strong="H7235" thy seed|strong="H2233" exceedingly|strong="H7235", that it shall not be numbered|strong="H5608" for multitude|strong="H7230".

And the angel|strong="H4397" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto her, Behold|strong="H2009", thou art with child|strong="H2030", and shalt bear|strong="H3205" a son|strong="H1121", and shalt call|strong="H7121" his name|strong="H8034" Ishmael|strong="H3458"; because the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath heard|strong="H8085" thy affliction|strong="H6040".

And he will be a wild|strong="H6501" man|strong="H0120"; his hand|strong="H3027" will be against every man, and every man’s hand|strong="H3027" against him; and he shall dwell|strong="H7931" in the presence|strong="H6440" of all his brethren|strong="H0251".

And she called|strong="H7121" the name|strong="H8034" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* that spake|strong="H1696" unto her, Thou God|strong="H0410" seest me|strong="H7210": for she said|strong="H0559", Have I also here|strong="H1988" looked|strong="H7200" after him|strong="H0310" that seeth me|strong="H7210"?

Wherefore the well|strong="H0875" was called|strong="H7121" Beer-lahai-roi|strong="H0883"; behold, it is between Kadesh|strong="H6946" and Bered|strong="H1260".

And Hagar|strong="H1904" bare|strong="H3205" Abram|strong="H0087" a son|strong="H1121": and Abram|strong="H0087" called|strong="H7121" his son’s|strong="H1121" name|strong="H8034", which Hagar|strong="H1904" bare|strong="H3205", Ishmael|strong="H3458".

And Abram|strong="H0087" was fourscore|strong="H8084" and six|strong="H8337" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1121", when Hagar|strong="H1904" bare|strong="H3205" Ishmael|strong="H3458" to Abram|strong="H0087".
