And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* appeared|strong="H7200" unto him in the plains|strong="H0436" of Mamre|strong="H4471": and he sat|strong="H3427" in the tent|strong="H0168" door|strong="H6607" in the heat|strong="H2527" of the day|strong="H3117";
And he lift up|strong="H5375" his eyes|strong="H5869" and looked|strong="H7200", and, lo, three|strong="H7969" men|strong="H0582" stood|strong="H5324" by him: and when he saw|strong="H7200" them, he ran|strong="H7323" to meet|strong="H7125" them from the tent|strong="H0168" door|strong="H6607", and bowed|strong="H7812" himself toward the ground|strong="H0776",
And said|strong="H0559", My Lord|strong="H0136", if now I have found|strong="H4672" favour|strong="H2580" in thy sight|strong="H5869", pass not away|strong="H5674", I pray thee, from thy servant|strong="H5650":
Let a little|strong="H4592" water|strong="H4325", I pray you|strong="H4994", be fetched|strong="H3947", and wash|strong="H7364" your feet|strong="H7272", and rest yourselves|strong="H8172" under the tree|strong="H6086":
And I will fetch|strong="H3947" a morsel|strong="H6595" of bread|strong="H3899", and comfort ye|strong="H5582" your hearts|strong="H3820"; after that|strong="H0310" ye shall pass on|strong="H5674": for therefore are ye come|strong="H5674" to|strong="H5921" your servant|strong="H5650". And they said|strong="H1696", So do|strong="H6213", as thou hast said|strong="H0559".
And Abraham|strong="H0085" hastened|strong="H4116" into the tent|strong="H0168" unto Sarah|strong="H8283", and said|strong="H0559", Make ready quickly|strong="H4116" three|strong="H7969" measures|strong="H5429" of fine|strong="H5560" meal|strong="H7058", knead|strong="H3888" it, and make|strong="H6213" cakes|strong="H5692" upon the hearth|strong="H6213".
And Abraham|strong="H0085" ran|strong="H7323" unto the herd|strong="H1241", and fetcht|strong="H3947" a calf|strong="H1121" tender|strong="H7390" and good|strong="H2896", and gave|strong="H5414" it unto a young man|strong="H5288"; and he hasted|strong="H4116" to dress|strong="H6213" it.
And he took|strong="H3947" butter|strong="H2529", and milk|strong="H2461", and the calf|strong="H1121" which he had dressed|strong="H6213", and set|strong="H5414" it before them|strong="H6440"; and he stood|strong="H5975" by them under the tree|strong="H6086", and they did eat|strong="H0398".
And they said|strong="H0559" unto him, Where|strong="H0346" is Sarah|strong="H8283" thy wife|strong="H0802"? And he said|strong="H0559", Behold, in the tent|strong="H0168".
And he said|strong="H0559", I will certainly|strong="H7725" return|strong="H7725" unto thee according to the time|strong="H6256" of life|strong="H2416"; and, lo, Sarah|strong="H8283" thy wife|strong="H0802" shall have a son|strong="H1121". And Sarah|strong="H8283" heard|strong="H8085" it in the tent|strong="H0168" door|strong="H6607", which was behind him|strong="H0310".
Now Abraham|strong="H0085" and Sarah|strong="H8283" were old|strong="H2205" and well stricken|strong="H0935" in age|strong="H3117"; and it ceased|strong="H2308" to be with Sarah|strong="H8283" after the manner|strong="H0734" of women|strong="H0802".
Therefore Sarah|strong="H8283" laughed|strong="H6711" within herself|strong="H7130", saying|strong="H0559", After|strong="H0310" I am waxed old|strong="H1086" shall I have pleasure|strong="H5730", my lord|strong="H0113" being old also|strong="H2204"?
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto Abraham|strong="H0085", Wherefore|strong="H4100" did Sarah|strong="H8283" laugh|strong="H6711", saying|strong="H0559", Shall I of a surety|strong="H0552" bear|strong="H3205" a child, which|strong="H0589" am old|strong="H2204"?
Is|strong="H6381" any thing|strong="H1697" too hard|strong="H6381" for the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*? At the time appointed|strong="H4150" I will return|strong="H7725" unto thee, according to the time|strong="H6256" of life|strong="H2416", and Sarah|strong="H8283" shall have a son|strong="H1121".
Then Sarah|strong="H8283" denied|strong="H3584", saying|strong="H0559", I laughed|strong="H6711" not; for she was afraid|strong="H3372". And he said|strong="H0559", Nay|strong="H3808"; but thou didst laugh|strong="H6711".
And the men|strong="H0582" rose up|strong="H6965" from thence, and looked|strong="H8259" toward|strong="H6440" Sodom|strong="H5467": and Abraham|strong="H0085" went|strong="H1980" with them to bring them on the way|strong="H7971".
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559", Shall I hide|strong="H3680" from Abraham|strong="H0085" that thing which|strong="H0834" I do|strong="H6213";
Seeing that Abraham|strong="H0085" shall surely become a great|strong="H1419" and mighty|strong="H6099" nation|strong="H1471", and all the nations|strong="H1471" of the earth|strong="H0776" shall be blessed|strong="H1288" in him?
For I know|strong="H3045" him, that|strong="H0834" he will command|strong="H6680" his children|strong="H1121" and his household|strong="H1004" after him|strong="H0310", and they shall keep|strong="H8104" the way|strong="H1870" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, to do|strong="H6213" justice|strong="H6666" and judgment|strong="H4941"; that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* may bring|strong="H0935" upon Abraham|strong="H0085" that which he hath spoken|strong="H1696" of him.
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559", Because the cry|strong="H2201" of Sodom|strong="H5467" and Gomorrah|strong="H6017" is great|strong="H7227", and because their sin|strong="H2403" is very|strong="H3966" grievous|strong="H3513";
I will go down|strong="H3381" now, and see|strong="H7200" whether they have done|strong="H6213" altogether|strong="H3617" according to the cry|strong="H6818" of it, which is come|strong="H0935" unto me; and if not, I will know|strong="H3045".
And the men|strong="H0582" turned their faces|strong="H6437" from thence, and went|strong="H3212" toward Sodom|strong="H5467": but Abraham|strong="H0085" stood|strong="H5975" yet|strong="H5750" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
And Abraham|strong="H0085" drew near|strong="H5066", and said|strong="H0559", Wilt thou also destroy|strong="H5595" the righteous|strong="H6662" with|strong="H5973" the wicked|strong="H7563"?
Peradventure there be|strong="H3426" fifty|strong="H2572" righteous|strong="H6662" within|strong="H8432" the city|strong="H5892": wilt thou also destroy|strong="H5595" and not spare|strong="H5375" the place|strong="H4725" for|strong="H4616" the fifty|strong="H2572" righteous|strong="H6662" that are therein|strong="H7130"?
That be far|strong="H2486" from thee to do|strong="H6213" after this manner|strong="H1697", to slay|strong="H4191" the righteous|strong="H6662" with the wicked|strong="H7563": and that the righteous|strong="H6662" should be as the wicked|strong="H7563", that be far|strong="H2486" from thee: Shall not the Judge|strong="H8199" of all the earth|strong="H0776" do|strong="H6213" right|strong="H4941"?
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559", If I find|strong="H4672" in Sodom|strong="H5467" fifty|strong="H2572" righteous|strong="H6662" within|strong="H8432" the city|strong="H5892", then I will spare|strong="H5375" all the place|strong="H4725" for their sakes.
And Abraham|strong="H0085" answered|strong="H6030" and said|strong="H0559", Behold now, I have taken upon me|strong="H2974" to speak|strong="H1696" unto the Lord|strong="H0136", which|strong="H0595" am but dust|strong="H6083" and ashes|strong="H0665":
Peradventure there shall lack|strong="H2637" five|strong="H2568" of the fifty|strong="H2572" righteous|strong="H6662": wilt thou destroy|strong="H7843" all the city|strong="H5892" for lack of five|strong="H2568"? And he said|strong="H0559", If I find|strong="H4672" there forty|strong="H0705" and five|strong="H2568", I will not destroy|strong="H7843" it.
And he spake|strong="H1696" unto him yet again|strong="H3254", and said|strong="H0559", Peradventure there shall be forty|strong="H0705" found|strong="H4672" there. And he said|strong="H0559", I will not do|strong="H6213" it for forty’s|strong="H0705" sake.
And he said|strong="H0559" unto him, Oh|strong="H4994" let not the Lord|strong="H0136" be angry|strong="H2734", and I will speak|strong="H1696": Peradventure there shall thirty|strong="H7970" be found|strong="H4672" there. And he said|strong="H0559", I will not do|strong="H6213" it, if I find|strong="H4672" thirty|strong="H7970" there.
And he said|strong="H0559", Behold now, I have taken upon me|strong="H2974" to speak|strong="H1696" unto the Lord|strong="H0136": Peradventure there shall be twenty|strong="H6242" found|strong="H4672" there. And he said|strong="H0559", I will not destroy|strong="H7843" it for twenty’s|strong="H6242" sake.
And he said|strong="H0559", Oh let not the Lord|strong="H0136" be angry|strong="H2734", and I will speak|strong="H1696" yet|strong="H0389" but this once|strong="H6471": Peradventure ten|strong="H6235" shall be found|strong="H4672" there. And he said|strong="H0559", I will not destroy|strong="H7843" it for ten’s|strong="H6235" sake.
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* went his way|strong="H3212", as soon as|strong="H0834" he had left|strong="H3615" communing|strong="H1696" with Abraham|strong="H0085": and Abraham|strong="H0085" returned|strong="H7725" unto his place|strong="H4725".
