He cried|strong="H7121" also in mine ears|strong="H0241" with a loud|strong="H1419" voice|strong="H6963", saying|strong="H0559", Cause them that have charge|strong="H6486" over the city|strong="H5892" to draw near|strong="H7126", even every man|strong="H0376" with his destroying|strong="H4892" weapon|strong="H3627" in his hand|strong="H3027".
And, behold, six|strong="H8337" men|strong="H0582" came|strong="H0935" from the way|strong="H1870" of the higher|strong="H5945" gate|strong="H8179", which lieth|strong="H6437" toward the north|strong="H6828", and every man|strong="H0376" a slaughter|strong="H4660" weapon|strong="H3627" in his hand|strong="H3027"; and one|strong="H0259" man|strong="H0376" among|strong="H8432" them was clothed|strong="H3847" with linen|strong="H0906", with a writer’s|strong="H5608" inkhorn|strong="H7083" by his side|strong="H4975": and they went in|strong="H0935", and stood|strong="H5975" beside|strong="H0681" the brasen|strong="H5178" altar|strong="H4196".
And the glory|strong="H3519" of the God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478" was gone up|strong="H5927" from the cherub|strong="H3742", whereupon he was, to the threshold|strong="H4670" of the house|strong="H1004". And he called|strong="H7121" to the man|strong="H0376" clothed|strong="H3847" with linen|strong="H0906", which had the writer’s|strong="H5608" inkhorn|strong="H7083" by his side|strong="H4975";
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto him, Go through|strong="H5674" the midst|strong="H8432" of the city|strong="H5892", through the midst|strong="H8432" of Jerusalem|strong="H3389", and set|strong="H8427" a mark|strong="H8420" upon the foreheads|strong="H4696" of the men|strong="H0582" that sigh|strong="H0584" and that cry|strong="H0602" for all the abominations|strong="H8441" that be done|strong="H6213" in the midst|strong="H8432" thereof.
And to the others|strong="H0428" he said|strong="H0559" in mine hearing|strong="H0241", Go|strong="H5674" ye after|strong="H0310" him through the city|strong="H5892", and smite|strong="H5221": let not your eye|strong="H5869" spare|strong="H2347", neither have ye pity|strong="H2550":
Slay|strong="H2026" utterly|strong="H4889" old|strong="H2205" and young|strong="H0970", both maids|strong="H1330", and little children|strong="H2945", and women|strong="H0802": but come not near|strong="H5066" any man|strong="H0376" upon whom is the mark|strong="H8420"; and begin|strong="H2490" at my sanctuary|strong="H4720". Then they began|strong="H2490" at the ancient|strong="H2205" men|strong="H0582" which were before|strong="H6440" the house|strong="H1004".
And he said|strong="H0559" unto them, Defile|strong="H2930" the house|strong="H1004", and fill|strong="H4390" the courts|strong="H2691" with the slain|strong="H2491": go ye forth|strong="H3318". And they went forth|strong="H3318", and slew|strong="H5221" in the city|strong="H5892".
And it came to pass, while they were slaying|strong="H5221" them, and I was left|strong="H7604", that I fell|strong="H5307" upon my face|strong="H6440", and cried|strong="H2199", and said|strong="H0559", Ah|strong="H0162" Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*! wilt thou destroy|strong="H7843" all the residue|strong="H7611" of Israel|strong="H3478" in thy pouring out|strong="H8210" of thy fury|strong="H2534" upon Jerusalem|strong="H3389"?
Then said|strong="H0559" he unto me, The iniquity|strong="H5771" of the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478" and Judah|strong="H3063" is exceeding|strong="H3966" great|strong="H1419", and the land|strong="H0776" is full|strong="H4390" of blood|strong="H1818", and the city|strong="H5892" full|strong="H4390" of perverseness|strong="H4297": for they say|strong="H0559", The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath forsaken|strong="H5800" the earth|strong="H0776", and the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* seeth|strong="H7200" not.
And as for me also, mine eye|strong="H5869" shall not spare|strong="H2347", neither will I have pity|strong="H2550", but I will recompense|strong="H5414" their way|strong="H1870" upon their head|strong="H7218".
And, behold, the man|strong="H0376" clothed|strong="H3847" with linen|strong="H0906", which had the inkhorn|strong="H7083" by his side|strong="H4975", reported|strong="H7725" the matter|strong="H1697", saying|strong="H0559", I have done|strong="H6213" as thou hast commanded|strong="H6680" me.
