1 Then he brought me back|strong="H7725" the way|strong="H1870" of the gate|strong="H8179" of the outward|strong="H2435" sanctuary|strong="H4720" which looketh|strong="H6437" toward the east|strong="H6921"; and it was shut|strong="H5462".
2 Then said|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* unto me; This gate|strong="H8179" shall be shut|strong="H5462", it shall not be opened|strong="H6605", and no man|strong="H0376" shall enter|strong="H0935" in by it; because the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, the God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478", hath entered|strong="H0935" in by it, therefore it shall be shut|strong="H5462".
3 It is for the prince|strong="H5387"; the prince|strong="H5387", he shall sit|strong="H3427" in it to eat|strong="H0398" bread|strong="H3899" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; he shall enter|strong="H0935" by the way|strong="H1870" of the porch|strong="H0197" of that gate|strong="H8179", and shall go out|strong="H3318" by the way|strong="H1870" of the same.
4 Then brought|strong="H0935" he me the way|strong="H1870" of the north|strong="H6828" gate|strong="H8179" before|strong="H6440" the house|strong="H1004": and I looked|strong="H7200", and, behold, the glory|strong="H3519" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* filled|strong="H4390" the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: and I fell|strong="H5307" upon my face|strong="H6440".
5 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto me, Son|strong="H1121" of man|strong="H0120", mark|strong="H7760" well|strong="H3820", and behold|strong="H7200" with thine eyes|strong="H5869", and hear|strong="H8085" with thine ears|strong="H0241" all that I say|strong="H1696" unto thee concerning all the ordinances|strong="H2708" of the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and all the laws|strong="H8451" thereof; and mark|strong="H7760" well|strong="H3820" the entering in|strong="H3996" of the house|strong="H1004", with every going forth|strong="H4161" of the sanctuary|strong="H4720".
6 And thou shalt say|strong="H0559" to the rebellious|strong="H4805", even to the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478", Thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; O ye house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478", let it suffice|strong="H7227" you of all your abominations|strong="H8441",
7 In that ye have brought|strong="H0935" into my sanctuary strangers|strong="H1121", uncircumcised|strong="H6189" in heart|strong="H3820", and uncircumcised|strong="H6189" in flesh|strong="H1320", to be in my sanctuary|strong="H4720", to pollute|strong="H2490" it, even my house|strong="H1004", when ye offer|strong="H7126" my bread|strong="H3899", the fat|strong="H2459" and the blood|strong="H1818", and they have broken|strong="H6565" my covenant|strong="H1285" because|strong="H0413" of all your abominations|strong="H8441".
8 And ye have not kept|strong="H8104" the charge|strong="H4931" of mine holy things|strong="H6944": but ye have set|strong="H7760" keepers|strong="H8104" of my charge|strong="H4931" in my sanctuary|strong="H4720" for yourselves.
9 Thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; No stranger|strong="H1121", uncircumcised|strong="H6189" in heart|strong="H3820", nor uncircumcised|strong="H6189" in flesh|strong="H1320", shall enter|strong="H0935" into my sanctuary|strong="H4720", of any stranger that is among|strong="H8432" the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478".
10 And the Levites|strong="H3881" that are gone away far|strong="H7368" from me, when Israel|strong="H3478" went astray|strong="H8582", which went astray away|strong="H8582" from me after|strong="H0310" their idols|strong="H1544"; they shall even bear|strong="H5375" their iniquity|strong="H5771".
11 Yet they shall be ministers|strong="H8334" in my sanctuary|strong="H4720", having charge|strong="H6486" at the gates|strong="H8179" of the house|strong="H1004", and ministering|strong="H8334" to the house|strong="H1004": they shall slay|strong="H7819" the burnt offering|strong="H5930" and the sacrifice|strong="H2077" for the people|strong="H5971", and they shall stand|strong="H5975" before|strong="H6440" them to minister|strong="H8334" unto them.
12 Because they ministered|strong="H8334" unto them before|strong="H6440" their idols|strong="H1544", and caused the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478" to fall|strong="H4383" into iniquity|strong="H5771"; therefore have I lifted up|strong="H5375" mine hand|strong="H3027" against them, saith|strong="H5002" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*, and they shall bear|strong="H5375" their iniquity|strong="H5771".
13 And they shall not come near|strong="H5066" unto me, to do the office of a priest|strong="H3547" unto me, nor to come near|strong="H5066" to any of my holy things|strong="H6944", in the most holy|strong="H6944" place: but they shall bear|strong="H5375" their shame|strong="H3639", and their abominations|strong="H8441" which they have committed|strong="H6213".
14 But I will make|strong="H5414" them keepers|strong="H8104" of the charge|strong="H4931" of the house|strong="H1004", for all the service|strong="H5656" thereof, and for all that shall be done|strong="H6213" therein.
15 But the priests|strong="H3548" the Levites|strong="H3881", the sons|strong="H1121" of Zadok|strong="H6659", that kept|strong="H8104" the charge|strong="H4931" of my sanctuary|strong="H4720" when the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" went astray|strong="H8582" from me, they shall come near|strong="H7126" to me to minister|strong="H8334" unto me, and they shall stand|strong="H5975" before|strong="H6440" me to offer|strong="H7126" unto me the fat|strong="H2459" and the blood|strong="H1818", saith|strong="H5002" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*:
16 They shall enter|strong="H0935" into my sanctuary|strong="H4720", and they shall come near|strong="H7126" to my table|strong="H7979", to minister|strong="H8334" unto me, and they shall keep|strong="H8104" my charge|strong="H4931".
17 And it shall come to pass, that when they enter|strong="H0935" in at the gates|strong="H8179" of the inner|strong="H6442" court|strong="H2691", they shall be clothed|strong="H3847" with linen|strong="H6593" garments|strong="H0899"; and no wool|strong="H6785" shall come|strong="H5927" upon them, whiles they minister|strong="H8334" in the gates|strong="H8179" of the inner|strong="H6442" court|strong="H2691", and within|strong="H1004".
18 They shall have linen|strong="H6593" bonnets|strong="H6287" upon their heads|strong="H7218", and shall have linen|strong="H6593" breeches|strong="H4370" upon their loins|strong="H4975"; they shall not gird|strong="H2296" themselves with any thing that causeth sweat|strong="H3154".
19 And when they go forth|strong="H3318" into the utter|strong="H2435" court|strong="H2691", even into the utter|strong="H2435" court|strong="H2691" to the people|strong="H5971", they shall put off|strong="H6584" their garments|strong="H0899" wherein they ministered|strong="H8334", and lay|strong="H3240" them in the holy|strong="H6944" chambers|strong="H3957", and they shall put|strong="H3847" on other|strong="H0312" garments|strong="H0899"; and they shall not sanctify|strong="H6942" the people|strong="H5971" with their garments|strong="H0899".
20 Neither shall they shave|strong="H1548" their heads|strong="H7218", nor suffer their locks|strong="H6545" to grow long|strong="H7971"; they shall only|strong="H3697" poll|strong="H3697" their heads|strong="H7218".
21 Neither shall any priest|strong="H3548" drink|strong="H8354" wine|strong="H3196", when they enter|strong="H0935" into the inner|strong="H6442" court|strong="H2691".
22 Neither shall they take|strong="H3947" for their wives|strong="H0802" a widow|strong="H0490", nor her that is put away|strong="H1644": but they shall take|strong="H3947" maidens|strong="H1330" of the seed|strong="H2233" of the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478", or a widow|strong="H0490" that had a priest|strong="H3548" before.
23 And they shall teach|strong="H3384" my people|strong="H5971" the difference between the holy|strong="H6944" and profane|strong="H2455", and cause them to discern|strong="H3045" between the unclean|strong="H2931" and the clean|strong="H2889".
24 And in controversy|strong="H7379" they shall stand|strong="H5975" in judgment|strong="H8199"; and they shall judge|strong="H8199" it according to my judgments|strong="H4941": and they shall keep|strong="H8104" my laws|strong="H8451" and my statutes|strong="H2708" in all mine assemblies|strong="H4150"; and they shall hallow|strong="H6942" my sabbaths|strong="H7676".
25 And they shall come|strong="H0935" at no dead|strong="H4191" person|strong="H0120" to defile|strong="H2930" themselves: but for father|strong="H0001", or for mother|strong="H0517", or for son|strong="H1121", or for daughter|strong="H1323", for brother|strong="H0251", or for sister|strong="H0269" that hath had no husband|strong="H0376", they may defile|strong="H2930" themselves.
26 And after|strong="H0310" he is cleansed|strong="H2893", they shall reckon|strong="H5608" unto him seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117".
27 And in the day|strong="H3117" that he goeth|strong="H0935" into the sanctuary|strong="H6944", unto the inner|strong="H6442" court|strong="H2691", to minister|strong="H8334" in the sanctuary|strong="H6944", he shall offer|strong="H7126" his sin offering|strong="H2403", saith|strong="H5002" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*.
28 And it shall be unto them for an inheritance|strong="H5159": I am their inheritance|strong="H5159": and ye shall give|strong="H5414" them no possession|strong="H0272" in Israel|strong="H3478": I am their possession|strong="H0272".
29 They shall eat|strong="H0398" the meat offering|strong="H4503", and the sin offering|strong="H2403", and the trespass offering|strong="H0817"; and every dedicated thing|strong="H2764" in Israel|strong="H3478" shall be theirs.
30 And the first|strong="H7225" of all the firstfruits|strong="H1061" of all things, and every oblation|strong="H8641" of all, of every sort of your oblations|strong="H8641", shall be the priest’s|strong="H3548": ye shall also give|strong="H5414" unto the priest|strong="H3548" the first|strong="H7225" of your dough|strong="H6182", that he may cause the blessing|strong="H1293" to rest|strong="H5117" in thine house|strong="H1004".
31 The priests|strong="H3548" shall not eat|strong="H0398" of any thing that is dead of itself|strong="H5038", or torn|strong="H2966", whether it be fowl|strong="H5775" or beast|strong="H0929".
