3 Dize à cidade de Tiro, assentada à borda do mar, comerciando com os povos de inumeráveis ilhas: Eis o que diz o Senhor Javé: Tiro, tu dizias: sou um navio de perfeita beleza.

4 No coração do mar está o teu domínio, teus construtores acabaram o teu esplendor.

10 As gentes da Pérsia, de Lud e de Put serviam em teu exército, suspendiam em ti o escudo e o capacete, davam-te prestígio.

11 Os filhos de Arvad e teu exército guarneciam tuas muralhas e os gamadianos estavam de prontidão sobre tuas torres; penduravam os seus escudos em toda a extensão dos teus muros e completavam a tua beleza.

13 Javã, Tubal e Méchec traficavam contigo e te traziam, à guisa de moedas de câmbio, escravos e objetos de bronze.

14 As gentes de Togorma pagavam com cavalos de raça, cavalos de sela e mulas.

16 Edom fazia contigo comércio de uma multidão de víveres, e te pagava com rubis, púrpura, bordados, linho fino, corais e rubis.

20 As gentes de Dedã faziam contigo comércio de mantas para cavalo.

23 Harã, Quene, Éden, os mercadores de Sabá, da Assíria e Quelmad faziam negociação contigo,

25 The ships|strong="H0591" of Tarshish|strong="H8659" did sing|strong="H7788" of thee in thy market|strong="H4627": and thou wast replenished|strong="H4390", and made very|strong="H3966" glorious|strong="H3513" in the midst|strong="H3820" of the seas|strong="H3220".
25 Navios de Társis vogavam a serviço de teus negócios. Ficaste cheia, ficaste por demais pesada, no seio dos mares!
26 Thy rowers|strong="H7751" have brought|strong="H0935" thee into great|strong="H7227" waters|strong="H4325": the east|strong="H6921" wind|strong="H7307" hath broken|strong="H7665" thee in the midst|strong="H3820" of the seas|strong="H3220".
26 Conduziram-te os teus remeiros até as grandes águas... O vento do Oriente quebrou-te no coração do mar.
27 Thy riches|strong="H1952", and thy fairs|strong="H5801", thy merchandise|strong="H4627", thy mariners|strong="H4419", and thy pilots|strong="H2259", thy calkers|strong="H0919", and the occupiers|strong="H6148" of thy merchandise|strong="H4627", and all thy men|strong="H0582" of war|strong="H4421", that are in thee, and in all thy company|strong="H6951" which is in the midst|strong="H8432" of thee, shall fall|strong="H5307" into the midst|strong="H3820" of the seas|strong="H3220" in the day|strong="H3117" of thy ruin|strong="H4658".
27 Tuas riquezas, teus víveres, teus produtos, teus marinheiros e pilotos e consertadores de navios e corretores, todos os guerreiros que possuías contigo, e a multidão que tinhas a bordo foram tragados pelo mar no dia do teu naufrágio.
28 The suburbs|strong="H4054" shall shake|strong="H7493" at the sound|strong="H6963" of the cry|strong="H2201" of thy pilots|strong="H2259".
28 Aos gritos dos teus marujos tremeram as plagas;
29 And all that handle|strong="H8610" the oar|strong="H4880", the mariners|strong="H4419", and all the pilots|strong="H2259" of the sea|strong="H3220", shall come down|strong="H3381" from their ships|strong="H0591", they shall stand|strong="H5975" upon the land|strong="H0776";
29 então desceram do navio todos os remadores. Os marinheiros, os pilotos do mar ficaram em terra.
30 And shall cause their voice|strong="H6963" to be heard|strong="H8085" against thee, and shall cry|strong="H2199" bitterly|strong="H4751", and shall cast up|strong="H5927" dust|strong="H6083" upon their heads|strong="H7218", they shall wallow|strong="H6428" themselves in the ashes|strong="H0665":
30 Eles fazem ouvir sobre ti o seu pranto com gritos amargos. Cobrem sua cabeça com poeira e rolam na cinza;
31 And they shall make themselves utterly|strong="H7144" bald|strong="H7139" for thee, and gird|strong="H2296" them with sackcloth|strong="H8242", and they shall weep|strong="H1058" for thee with bitterness|strong="H4751" of heart|strong="H5315" and bitter|strong="H4751" wailing|strong="H4553".
31 rapam a cabeça por tua causa, vestem sacos; eles te choram, com o coração angustiado, em amarga lamentação!
32 And in their wailing|strong="H5204" they shall take up|strong="H5375" a lamentation|strong="H7015" for thee, and lament|strong="H6969" over thee, saying, What city is like Tyrus|strong="H6865", like the destroyed|strong="H1822" in the midst|strong="H8432" of the sea|strong="H3220"?
32 Em sua aflição, entoarão uma ode fúnebre sobre teus males, e a seguinte elegia: Quem era semelhante a Tiro, agora emudecida no meio do mar?
33 When thy wares|strong="H5801" went forth|strong="H3318" out of the seas|strong="H3220", thou filledst|strong="H7646" many|strong="H7227" people|strong="H5971"; thou didst enrich|strong="H6238" the kings|strong="H4428" of the earth|strong="H0776" with the multitude|strong="H7230" of thy riches|strong="H1952" and of thy merchandise|strong="H4627".
33 Quando os teus comerciantes saíam das ondas, abastecias os povos. Pela multidão das tuas riquezas e de teus víveres tu enriquecias os reis da terra.
34 In the time|strong="H6256" when thou shalt be broken|strong="H7665" by the seas|strong="H3220" in the depths|strong="H4615" of the waters|strong="H4325" thy merchandise|strong="H4627" and all thy company|strong="H6951" in the midst|strong="H8432" of thee shall fall|strong="H5307".
34 Agora, que naufragaste no mar, sepultada no fundo das ondas, tua carga e teu equipamento estão sepultados contigo.
35 All the inhabitants|strong="H3427" of the isles|strong="H0339" shall be astonished|strong="H8074" at thee, and their kings|strong="H4428" shall be sore|strong="H8178" afraid|strong="H8175", they shall be troubled|strong="H7481" in their countenance|strong="H6440".
35 Todos os habitantes das ilhas estão apavorados com o que te aconteceu. Seus reis estão tomados de terror, sua fronte está abatida.
36 The merchants|strong="H5503" among the people|strong="H5971" shall hiss|strong="H8319" at thee; thou shalt be a terror|strong="H1091", and never shalt be any more|strong="H5704".
36 Os mercadores dos povos estrangeiros assobiam, ao ver-te; és objeto de terror, aniquilada para sempre!
