And it came to pass in the eleventh|strong="H6249" year|strong="H8141", in the first|strong="H0259" day of the month|strong="H2320", that the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* came unto me, saying|strong="H0559",
Son|strong="H1121" of man|strong="H0120", because that Tyrus|strong="H6865" hath said|strong="H0559" against Jerusalem|strong="H3389", Aha|strong="H1889", she is broken|strong="H7665" that was the gates|strong="H1817" of the people|strong="H5971": she is turned|strong="H5437" unto me: I shall be replenished|strong="H4390", now she is laid waste|strong="H2717":
Therefore thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; Behold, I am against thee, O Tyrus|strong="H6865", and will cause many|strong="H7227" nations|strong="H1471" to come up|strong="H5927" against thee, as the sea|strong="H3220" causeth his waves|strong="H1530" to come up|strong="H5927".
And they shall destroy|strong="H7843" the walls|strong="H2346" of Tyrus|strong="H6865", and break down|strong="H2040" her towers|strong="H4026": I will also scrape|strong="H5500" her dust|strong="H6083" from her, and make|strong="H5414" her like the top|strong="H6706" of a rock|strong="H5553".
It shall be a place for the spreading|strong="H4894" of nets|strong="H2764" in the midst|strong="H8432" of the sea|strong="H3220": for I have spoken|strong="H1696" it, saith|strong="H5002" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*: and it shall become a spoil|strong="H0957" to the nations|strong="H1471".
And her daughters|strong="H1323" which are in the field|strong="H7704" shall be slain|strong="H2026" by the sword|strong="H2719"; and they shall know|strong="H3045" that I am the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
For thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; Behold, I will bring|strong="H0935" upon Tyrus|strong="H6865" Nebuchadrezzar|strong="H5019" king|strong="H4428" of Babylon|strong="H0894", a king|strong="H4428" of kings|strong="H4428", from the north|strong="H6828", with horses|strong="H5483", and with chariots|strong="H7393", and with horsemen|strong="H6571", and companies|strong="H6951", and much|strong="H7227" people|strong="H5971".
He shall slay|strong="H2026" with the sword|strong="H2719" thy daughters|strong="H1323" in the field|strong="H7704": and he shall make|strong="H5414" a fort|strong="H1785" against thee, and cast|strong="H8210" a mount|strong="H5550" against thee, and lift up|strong="H6965" the buckler|strong="H6793" against thee.
And he shall set|strong="H5414" engines|strong="H4239" of war|strong="H6904" against thy walls|strong="H2346", and with his axes|strong="H2719" he shall break down|strong="H5422" thy towers|strong="H4026".
By reason of the abundance|strong="H8229" of his horses|strong="H5483" their dust|strong="H0080" shall cover|strong="H3680" thee: thy walls|strong="H2346" shall shake|strong="H7493" at the noise|strong="H6963" of the horsemen|strong="H6571", and of the wheels|strong="H1534", and of the chariots|strong="H7393", when he shall enter|strong="H0935" into thy gates|strong="H8179", as men enter|strong="H3996" into a city|strong="H5892" wherein is made a breach|strong="H1234".
With the hoofs|strong="H6541" of his horses|strong="H5483" shall he tread down|strong="H7429" all thy streets|strong="H2351": he shall slay|strong="H2026" thy people|strong="H5971" by the sword|strong="H2719", and thy strong|strong="H5797" garrisons|strong="H4676" shall go down|strong="H3381" to the ground|strong="H0776".
And they shall make a spoil|strong="H7997" of thy riches|strong="H2428", and make a prey|strong="H0962" of thy merchandise|strong="H7404": and they shall break down|strong="H2040" thy walls|strong="H2346", and destroy|strong="H5422" thy pleasant|strong="H2532" houses|strong="H1004": and they shall lay|strong="H7760" thy stones|strong="H0068" and thy timber|strong="H6086" and thy dust|strong="H6083" in the midst|strong="H8432" of the water|strong="H4325".
And I will cause the noise|strong="H1995" of thy songs|strong="H7892" to cease|strong="H7673"; and the sound|strong="H6963" of thy harps|strong="H3658" shall be no more heard|strong="H8085".
And I will make|strong="H5414" thee like the top|strong="H6706" of a rock|strong="H5553": thou shalt be a place to spread|strong="H4894" nets|strong="H2764" upon|strong="H4894"; thou shalt be built|strong="H1129" no more: for I the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* have spoken|strong="H1696" it, saith|strong="H5002" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*.
Thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w* to Tyrus|strong="H6865"; Shall not the isles|strong="H0339" shake|strong="H7493" at the sound|strong="H6963" of thy fall|strong="H4658", when the wounded|strong="H2491" cry|strong="H0602", when the slaughter|strong="H2027" is made|strong="H2026" in the midst|strong="H8432" of thee?
Then all the princes|strong="H5387" of the sea|strong="H3220" shall come down|strong="H3381" from their thrones|strong="H3678", and lay away|strong="H5493" their robes|strong="H4598", and put off|strong="H6584" their broidered|strong="H7553" garments|strong="H0899": they shall clothe|strong="H3847" themselves with trembling|strong="H2731"; they shall sit|strong="H3427" upon the ground|strong="H0776", and shall tremble|strong="H2729" at every moment|strong="H7281", and be astonished|strong="H8074" at thee.
And they shall take up|strong="H5375" a lamentation|strong="H7015" for thee, and say|strong="H0559" to thee, How art thou destroyed|strong="H0006", that wast inhabited|strong="H3427" of seafaring men|strong="H3220", the renowned|strong="H1984" city|strong="H5892", which wast strong|strong="H2389" in the sea|strong="H3220", she and her inhabitants|strong="H3427", which cause|strong="H5414" their terror|strong="H2851" to be on all that haunt|strong="H3427" it!
Now shall the isles|strong="H0339" tremble|strong="H2729" in the day|strong="H3117" of thy fall|strong="H4658"; yea, the isles|strong="H0339" that are in the sea|strong="H3220" shall be troubled|strong="H0926" at thy departure|strong="H3318".
For thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; When I shall make|strong="H5414" thee a desolate|strong="H2717" city|strong="H5892", like the cities|strong="H5892" that are not inhabited|strong="H3427"; when I shall bring up|strong="H5927" the deep|strong="H8415" upon thee, and great|strong="H7227" waters|strong="H4325" shall cover|strong="H3680" thee;
When I shall bring thee down|strong="H3381" with them that descend|strong="H3381" into the pit|strong="H0953", with the people|strong="H5971" of old time|strong="H5769", and shall set|strong="H3427" thee in the low parts|strong="H8482" of the earth|strong="H0776", in places desolate|strong="H2723" of old|strong="H5769", with them that go down|strong="H3381" to the pit|strong="H0953", that thou be not inhabited|strong="H3427"; and I shall set|strong="H5414" glory|strong="H6643" in the land|strong="H0776" of the living|strong="H2416";
I will make|strong="H5414" thee a terror|strong="H1091", and thou shalt be no more: though thou be sought for|strong="H1245", yet shalt thou never|strong="H5769" be found|strong="H4672" again, saith|strong="H5002" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*.
