2 This month|strong="H2320" shall be unto you the beginning|strong="H7218" of months|strong="H2320": it shall be the first|strong="H7223" month|strong="H2320" of the year|strong="H8141" to you.
3 Speak|strong="H1696" ye unto all the congregation|strong="H5712" of Israel|strong="H3478", saying|strong="H0559", In the tenth|strong="H6218" day of this month|strong="H2320" they shall take|strong="H3947" to them every man|strong="H0376" a lamb|strong="H7716", according to the house|strong="H1004" of their fathers|strong="H0001", a lamb|strong="H7716" for an house|strong="H1004":
4 And if the household|strong="H1004" be|strong="H1961" too little|strong="H4591" for the lamb|strong="H7716", let him and his neighbour|strong="H7934" next|strong="H7138" unto his house|strong="H1004" take|strong="H3947" it according to the number|strong="H4373" of the souls|strong="H5315"; every man|strong="H0376" according|strong="H6310" to his eating|strong="H0400" shall make your count|strong="H3699" for the lamb|strong="H7716".
5 Your lamb|strong="H7716" shall be without blemish|strong="H8549", a male|strong="H2145" of the first|strong="H1121" year|strong="H8141": ye shall take|strong="H3947" it out from the sheep|strong="H3532", or from the goats|strong="H5795":
6 And ye shall keep|strong="H4931" it up until the fourteenth|strong="H0702" day|strong="H3117" of the same month|strong="H2320": and the whole|strong="H3605" assembly|strong="H6951" of the congregation|strong="H5712" of Israel|strong="H3478" shall kill|strong="H7819" it in|strong="H0996" the evening|strong="H6153".
7 And they shall take|strong="H3947" of the blood|strong="H1818", and strike|strong="H5414" it on the two|strong="H8147" side posts|strong="H4201" and on the upper door post|strong="H4947" of the houses|strong="H1004", wherein they shall eat|strong="H0398" it.
8 And they shall eat|strong="H0398" the flesh|strong="H1320" in that night|strong="H3915", roast|strong="H6748" with fire|strong="H0784", and unleavened bread|strong="H4682"; and with bitter|strong="H4844" herbs they shall eat|strong="H0398" it.
9 Eat|strong="H0398" not of it raw|strong="H4995", nor sodden|strong="H1310" at all with water|strong="H4325", but roast|strong="H6748" with fire|strong="H0784"; his head|strong="H7218" with his legs|strong="H3767", and with the purtenance|strong="H7130" thereof.
10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain|strong="H3498" until the morning|strong="H1242"; and that which remaineth|strong="H3498" of it until the morning|strong="H1242" ye shall burn|strong="H8313" with fire|strong="H0784".
11 And thus|strong="H3602" shall ye eat|strong="H0398" it; with your loins|strong="H4975" girded|strong="H2296", your shoes|strong="H5275" on your feet|strong="H7272", and your staff|strong="H4731" in your hand|strong="H3027"; and ye shall eat|strong="H0398" it in haste|strong="H2649": it is the \+w LORD’s|strong="H3068"\+w* passover|strong="H6453".
12 For I will pass|strong="H5674" through the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714" this night|strong="H3915", and will smite|strong="H5221" all the firstborn|strong="H1060" in the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714", both man|strong="H0120" and beast|strong="H0929"; and against all the gods|strong="H0430" of Egypt|strong="H4714" I will execute|strong="H6213" judgment|strong="H8201": I am the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
13 And the blood|strong="H1818" shall be to you for a token|strong="H0226" upon the houses|strong="H1004" where ye are: and when I see|strong="H7200" the blood|strong="H1818", I will pass|strong="H6452" over you, and the plague|strong="H5063" shall not be upon you to destroy|strong="H4889" you, when I smite|strong="H5221" the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714".
14 And this day|strong="H3117" shall be unto you for a memorial|strong="H2146"; and ye shall keep|strong="H2287" it a feast|strong="H2282" to the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* throughout your generations|strong="H1755"; ye shall keep it a feast|strong="H2287" by an ordinance|strong="H2708" for ever|strong="H5769".
15 Seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117" shall ye eat|strong="H0398" unleavened bread|strong="H4682"; even|strong="H0389" the first|strong="H7223" day|strong="H3117" ye shall put away|strong="H7673" leaven|strong="H7603" out of your houses|strong="H1004": for whosoever eateth|strong="H0398" leavened bread|strong="H2557" from the first|strong="H7223" day|strong="H3117" until the seventh|strong="H7637" day|strong="H3117", that soul|strong="H5315" shall be cut|strong="H3772" off from Israel|strong="H3478".
16 And in the first|strong="H7223" day|strong="H3117" there shall be an holy|strong="H6944" convocation|strong="H4744", and in the seventh|strong="H7637" day|strong="H3117" there shall be an holy|strong="H6944" convocation|strong="H4744" to you; no manner of work|strong="H4399" shall be done|strong="H6213" in them, save|strong="H0389" that which every man|strong="H5315" must eat|strong="H0398", that only may be done|strong="H6213" of you.
17 And ye shall observe|strong="H8104" the feast of unleavened bread|strong="H4682"; for in this selfsame|strong="H6106" day|strong="H3117" have I brought|strong="H3318" your armies|strong="H6635" out of the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714": therefore shall ye observe|strong="H8104" this day|strong="H3117" in your generations|strong="H1755" by an ordinance|strong="H2708" for ever|strong="H5769".
18 In the first|strong="H7223" month, on the fourteenth|strong="H6240" day|strong="H3117" of the month|strong="H2320" at even|strong="H6153", ye shall eat|strong="H0398" unleavened bread|strong="H4682", until the one|strong="H0259" and twentieth|strong="H6242" day|strong="H3117" of the month|strong="H2320" at even|strong="H6153".
19 Seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117" shall there be no leaven|strong="H7603" found|strong="H4672" in your houses|strong="H1004": for whosoever eateth|strong="H0398" that which is leavened|strong="H2556", even that soul|strong="H5315" shall be cut off|strong="H3772" from the congregation|strong="H5712" of Israel|strong="H3478", whether he be a stranger|strong="H1616", or born|strong="H0249" in the land|strong="H0776".
20 Ye shall eat|strong="H0398" nothing leavened|strong="H2556"; in all your habitations|strong="H4186" shall ye eat|strong="H0398" unleavened bread|strong="H4682".
21 Then Moses|strong="H4872" called|strong="H7121" for all the elders|strong="H2205" of Israel|strong="H3478", and said|strong="H0559" unto them, Draw out|strong="H4900" and take|strong="H3947" you a lamb|strong="H6629" according to your families|strong="H4940", and kill|strong="H7819" the passover|strong="H6453".
22 And ye shall take|strong="H3947" a bunch|strong="H0092" of hyssop|strong="H0231", and dip|strong="H2881" it in the blood|strong="H1818" that is in the bason|strong="H5592", and strike|strong="H5060" the lintel|strong="H4947" and the two|strong="H8147" side posts|strong="H4201" with the blood|strong="H1818" that is in the bason|strong="H5592"; and none|strong="H0376" of you shall go out|strong="H3318" at the door|strong="H6607" of his house|strong="H1004" until the morning|strong="H1242".
23 For the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* will pass through|strong="H5674" to smite|strong="H5062" the Egyptians|strong="H4714"; and when he seeth|strong="H7200" the blood|strong="H1818" upon the lintel|strong="H4947", and on the two|strong="H8147" side posts|strong="H4201", the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* will pass over|strong="H6452" the door|strong="H6607", and will not suffer|strong="H5414" the destroyer|strong="H7843" to come|strong="H0935" in unto your houses|strong="H1004" to smite|strong="H5062" you.
24 And ye shall observe|strong="H8104" this thing|strong="H1697" for an ordinance|strong="H2706" to thee and to thy sons|strong="H1121" for|strong="H5704" ever|strong="H5769".
25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come|strong="H0935" to the land|strong="H0776" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* will give|strong="H5414" you, according as he hath promised|strong="H1696", that ye shall keep|strong="H8104" this service|strong="H5656".
26 And it shall come to pass, when your children|strong="H1121" shall say|strong="H0559" unto you, What mean ye by this service|strong="H5656"?
27 That ye shall say|strong="H0559", It is the sacrifice|strong="H2077" of the \+w LORD’s|strong="H3068"\+w* passover|strong="H6453", who passed|strong="H6452" over the houses|strong="H1004" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" in Egypt|strong="H4714", when he smote|strong="H5062" the Egyptians|strong="H4714", and delivered|strong="H5337" our houses|strong="H1004". And the people|strong="H5971" bowed the head|strong="H6915" and worshipped|strong="H7812".
28 And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" went away|strong="H3212", and did|strong="H6213" as the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* had commanded|strong="H6680" Moses|strong="H4872" and Aaron|strong="H0175", so did|strong="H6213" they.
29 And it came to pass, that at midnight|strong="H2677" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* smote|strong="H5221" all the firstborn|strong="H1060" in the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714", from the firstborn|strong="H1060" of Pharaoh|strong="H6547" that sat|strong="H3427" on his throne|strong="H3678" unto the firstborn|strong="H1060" of the captive|strong="H7628" that was in the dungeon|strong="H1004"; and all the firstborn|strong="H1060" of cattle|strong="H0929".
30 And Pharaoh|strong="H6547" rose up|strong="H6965" in the night|strong="H3915", he, and all his servants|strong="H5650", and all the Egyptians|strong="H4714"; and there was a great|strong="H1419" cry|strong="H6818" in Egypt|strong="H4714"; for there was not a house|strong="H1004" where there was not one dead|strong="H4191".
31 And he called|strong="H7121" for Moses|strong="H4872" and Aaron|strong="H0175" by night|strong="H3915", and said|strong="H0559", Rise up|strong="H6965", and get you forth|strong="H3318" from among|strong="H8432" my people|strong="H5971", both ye and the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478"; and go|strong="H3212", serve|strong="H5647" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, as ye have said|strong="H1696".
32 Also take|strong="H3947" your flocks|strong="H6629" and your herds|strong="H1241", as ye have said|strong="H1696", and be gone|strong="H3212"; and bless|strong="H1288" me also.
33 And the Egyptians|strong="H4714" were urgent|strong="H2388" upon the people|strong="H5971", that they might send|strong="H7971" them out of the land|strong="H0776" in haste|strong="H4116"; for they said|strong="H0559", We be all dead|strong="H4191" men.
34 And the people|strong="H5971" took|strong="H5375" their dough|strong="H1217" before it was leavened|strong="H2556", their kneadingtroughs|strong="H4863" being bound up|strong="H6887" in their clothes|strong="H8071" upon their shoulders|strong="H7926".
35 And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" did|strong="H6213" according to the word|strong="H1697" of Moses|strong="H4872"; and they borrowed|strong="H7592" of the Egyptians|strong="H4714" jewels|strong="H3627" of silver|strong="H3701", and jewels|strong="H3627" of gold|strong="H2091", and raiment|strong="H8071":
36 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* gave|strong="H5414" the people|strong="H5971" favour|strong="H2580" in the sight|strong="H5869" of the Egyptians|strong="H4714", so that they lent|strong="H7592" unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled|strong="H5337" the Egyptians|strong="H4714".
37 And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" journeyed|strong="H5265" from Rameses|strong="H7486" to Succoth|strong="H5523", about six|strong="H8337" hundred|strong="H3967" thousand|strong="H0505" on foot|strong="H7273" that were men|strong="H1397", beside|strong="H0905" children|strong="H2945".
38 And a mixed|strong="H6154" multitude|strong="H7227" went up|strong="H5927" also with them; and flocks|strong="H6629", and herds|strong="H1241", even very|strong="H3966" much|strong="H3515" cattle|strong="H4735".
39 And they baked|strong="H0644" unleavened|strong="H4682" cakes|strong="H5692" of the dough|strong="H1217" which they brought forth|strong="H3318" out of Egypt|strong="H4714", for it was not leavened|strong="H2556"; because they were thrust out|strong="H1644" of Egypt|strong="H4714", and could|strong="H3201" not tarry|strong="H4102", neither had they prepared|strong="H6213" for themselves any victual|strong="H6720".
40 Now the sojourning|strong="H4186" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", who dwelt|strong="H3427" in Egypt|strong="H4714", was four|strong="H0702" hundred|strong="H3967" and thirty|strong="H7970" years|strong="H8141".
41 And it came to pass at the end|strong="H7093" of the four|strong="H0702" hundred|strong="H3967" and thirty|strong="H7970" years|strong="H8141", even the selfsame|strong="H6106" day|strong="H3117" it came to pass, that all the hosts|strong="H6635" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* went out|strong="H3318" from the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714".
42 It is a night|strong="H3915" to be much observed|strong="H8107" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* for bringing|strong="H3318" them out from the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714": this is that night|strong="H3915" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* to be observed|strong="H8107" of all the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" in their generations|strong="H1755".
43 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto Moses|strong="H4872" and Aaron|strong="H0175", This is the ordinance|strong="H2708" of the passover|strong="H6453": There shall no stranger|strong="H1121" eat|strong="H0398" thereof:
44 But every man’s|strong="H0376" servant|strong="H5650" that is bought|strong="H4736" for money|strong="H3701", when thou hast circumcised|strong="H4135" him, then shall he eat|strong="H0398" thereof.
45 A foreigner|strong="H8453" and an hired servant|strong="H7916" shall not eat|strong="H0398" thereof.
46 In one|strong="H0259" house|strong="H1004" shall it be eaten|strong="H0398"; thou shalt not carry forth|strong="H3318" ought of the flesh|strong="H1320" abroad|strong="H2351" out of the house|strong="H1004"; neither shall ye break|strong="H7665" a bone|strong="H6106" thereof.
47 All the congregation|strong="H5712" of Israel|strong="H3478" shall keep|strong="H6213" it.
48 And when a stranger|strong="H1616" shall sojourn|strong="H1481" with thee, and will keep|strong="H6213" the passover|strong="H6453" to the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, let all his males|strong="H2145" be circumcised|strong="H4135", and then let him come near|strong="H7126" and keep|strong="H6213" it; and he shall be as one that is born|strong="H0249" in the land|strong="H0776": for no uncircumcised person|strong="H6189" shall eat|strong="H0398" thereof.
49 One|strong="H0259" law|strong="H8451" shall be to him that is homeborn|strong="H0249", and unto the stranger|strong="H1616" that sojourneth|strong="H1481" among|strong="H8432" you.
50 Thus did|strong="H6213" all the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478"; as the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* commanded|strong="H6680" Moses|strong="H4872" and Aaron|strong="H0175", so did|strong="H6213" they.
51 And it came to pass the selfsame|strong="H6106" day|strong="H3117", that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* did bring|strong="H3318" the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" out of the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714" by their armies|strong="H6635".
