Êxodo 13

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spake|strong="H1696" unto Moses|strong="H4872", saying|strong="H0559",

Sanctify|strong="H6942" unto me all the firstborn|strong="H1060", whatsoever openeth|strong="H6363" the womb|strong="H7358" among the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", both of man|strong="H0120" and of beast|strong="H0929": it is mine.

And Moses|strong="H4872" said|strong="H0559" unto the people|strong="H5971", Remember|strong="H2142" this|strong="H2088" day|strong="H3117", in which ye came out|strong="H3318" from Egypt|strong="H4714", out of the house|strong="H1004" of bondage|strong="H5650"; for by strength|strong="H2392" of hand|strong="H3027" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* brought you out|strong="H3318" from this place: there shall no leavened bread|strong="H2557" be eaten|strong="H0398".

This day|strong="H3117" came ye out|strong="H3318" in the month|strong="H2320" Abib|strong="H0024".

And it shall be when the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall bring|strong="H0935" thee into the land|strong="H0776" of the Canaanites|strong="H3669", and the Hittites|strong="H2850", and the Amorites|strong="H0567", and the Hivites|strong="H2340", and the Jebusites|strong="H2983", which he sware|strong="H7650" unto thy fathers|strong="H0001" to give|strong="H5414" thee, a land|strong="H0776" flowing|strong="H2100" with milk|strong="H2461" and honey|strong="H1706", that thou shalt keep|strong="H5647" this service|strong="H5656" in this month|strong="H2320".

Seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117" thou shalt eat|strong="H0398" unleavened bread|strong="H4682", and in the seventh|strong="H7637" day|strong="H3117" shall be a feast|strong="H2282" to the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.

Unleavened bread|strong="H4682" shall be eaten|strong="H0398" seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117"; and there shall no leavened bread|strong="H2557" be seen|strong="H7200" with thee, neither shall there be leaven|strong="H7603" seen|strong="H7200" with thee in all thy quarters|strong="H1366".

And thou shalt shew|strong="H5046" thy son|strong="H1121" in that day|strong="H3117", saying|strong="H0559", This is done because of|strong="H5668" that|strong="H2088" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* did|strong="H6213" unto me when I came forth|strong="H3318" out of Egypt|strong="H4714".

And it shall be for a sign|strong="H0226" unto thee upon thine hand|strong="H3027", and for a memorial|strong="H2146" between thine eyes|strong="H5869", that the \+w LORD’s|strong="H3068"\+w* law|strong="H8451" may be in thy mouth|strong="H6310": for with a strong|strong="H2389" hand|strong="H3027" hath the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* brought thee out|strong="H3318" of Egypt|strong="H4714".

Thou shalt therefore keep|strong="H8104" this ordinance|strong="H2708" in his season|strong="H4150" from year|strong="H3117" to year|strong="H3117".

And it shall be when the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall bring|strong="H0935" thee into the land|strong="H0776" of the Canaanites|strong="H3669", as he sware|strong="H7650" unto thee and to thy fathers|strong="H0001", and shall give|strong="H5414" it thee,

That thou shalt set apart|strong="H5674" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* all that openeth|strong="H6363" the matrix|strong="H7358", and every firstling|strong="H6363" that cometh|strong="H7698" of a beast|strong="H0929" which thou hast; the males|strong="H2145" shall be the \+w LORD’s|strong="H3068"\+w*.

And every firstling|strong="H6363" of an ass|strong="H2543" thou shalt redeem|strong="H6299" with a lamb|strong="H7716"; and if thou wilt not redeem|strong="H6299" it, then thou shalt break his neck|strong="H6202": and all the firstborn|strong="H1060" of man|strong="H0120" among thy children|strong="H1121" shalt thou redeem|strong="H6299".

And it shall be when thy son|strong="H1121" asketh|strong="H7592" thee in time to come|strong="H4279", saying|strong="H0559", What is this? that thou shalt say|strong="H0559" unto him, By strength|strong="H2392" of hand|strong="H3027" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* brought us out|strong="H3318" from Egypt|strong="H4714", from the house|strong="H1004" of bondage|strong="H5650":

And it came to pass, when Pharaoh|strong="H6547" would hardly|strong="H7185" let us go|strong="H7971", that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* slew|strong="H2026" all the firstborn|strong="H1060" in the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714", both the firstborn|strong="H1060" of man|strong="H0120", and the firstborn|strong="H1060" of beast|strong="H0929": therefore I sacrifice|strong="H2076" to the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* all that openeth|strong="H6363" the matrix|strong="H7358", being males|strong="H2145"; but all the firstborn|strong="H1060" of my children|strong="H1121" I redeem|strong="H6299".

And it shall be for a token|strong="H0226" upon thine hand|strong="H3027", and for frontlets|strong="H2903" between thine eyes|strong="H5869": for by strength|strong="H2392" of hand|strong="H3027" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* brought us forth|strong="H3318" out of Egypt|strong="H4714".

And it came to pass, when Pharaoh|strong="H6547" had let the people|strong="H5971" go|strong="H7971", that God|strong="H0430" led|strong="H5148" them not through the way|strong="H1870" of the land|strong="H0776" of the Philistines|strong="H6430", although|strong="H3588" that was near|strong="H7138"; for God|strong="H0430" said|strong="H0559", Lest peradventure the people|strong="H5971" repent|strong="H5162" when they see|strong="H7200" war|strong="H4421", and they return|strong="H7725" to Egypt|strong="H4714":

But God|strong="H0430" led|strong="H5437" the people|strong="H5971" about|strong="H5437", through the way|strong="H1870" of the wilderness|strong="H4057" of the Red|strong="H5488" sea|strong="H3220": and the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" went up|strong="H5927" harnessed|strong="H2571" out of the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714".

And Moses|strong="H4872" took|strong="H3947" the bones|strong="H6106" of Joseph|strong="H3130" with him: for he had straitly|strong="H7650" sworn|strong="H7650" the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", saying|strong="H0559", God|strong="H0430" will surely|strong="H6485" visit|strong="H6485" you; and ye shall carry up|strong="H5927" my bones|strong="H6106" away|strong="H5927" hence with you.

And they took their journey|strong="H5265" from Succoth|strong="H5523", and encamped|strong="H2583" in Etham|strong="H0864", in the edge|strong="H7097" of the wilderness|strong="H4057".

And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* went|strong="H1980" before|strong="H6440" them by day|strong="H3119" in a pillar|strong="H5982" of a cloud|strong="H6051", to lead|strong="H5148" them the way|strong="H1870"; and by night|strong="H3915" in a pillar|strong="H5982" of fire|strong="H0784", to give them light|strong="H0215"; to go|strong="H3212" by day|strong="H3119" and night|strong="H3915":

He took not away|strong="H4185" the pillar|strong="H5982" of the cloud|strong="H6051" by day|strong="H3119", nor the pillar|strong="H5982" of fire|strong="H0784" by night|strong="H3915", from before|strong="H6440" the people|strong="H5971".
