Deuteronômio 2

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Then we turned|strong="H6437", and took our journey|strong="H5265" into the wilderness|strong="H4057" by the way|strong="H1870" of the Red|strong="H5488" sea|strong="H3220", as the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spake|strong="H1696" unto me: and we compassed|strong="H5437" mount|strong="H2022" Seir|strong="H8165" many|strong="H7227" days|strong="H3117".

And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spake|strong="H0559" unto me, saying|strong="H0559",

Ye have compassed|strong="H5437" this mountain|strong="H2022" long enough|strong="H7227": turn|strong="H6437" you northward|strong="H6828".

And command|strong="H6680" thou the people|strong="H5971", saying|strong="H0559", Ye are to pass|strong="H5674" through the coast|strong="H1366" of your brethren|strong="H0251" the children|strong="H1121" of Esau|strong="H6215", which dwell|strong="H3427" in Seir|strong="H8165"; and they shall be afraid|strong="H3372" of you: take ye good|strong="H3966" heed|strong="H8104" unto yourselves therefore:

Meddle|strong="H1624" not with them; for I will not give|strong="H5414" you of their land|strong="H0776", no, not so much as a foot|strong="H7272" breadth|strong="H4096"; because I have given|strong="H5414" mount|strong="H2022" Seir|strong="H8165" unto Esau|strong="H6215" for a possession|strong="H3425".

Ye shall buy|strong="H7666" meat|strong="H0400" of them for money|strong="H3701", that ye may eat|strong="H0398"; and ye shall also buy|strong="H3739" water|strong="H4325" of them for money|strong="H3701", that ye may drink|strong="H8354".

For the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" hath blessed|strong="H1288" thee in all the works|strong="H4639" of thy hand|strong="H3027": he knoweth|strong="H3045" thy walking|strong="H3212" through this great|strong="H1419" wilderness|strong="H4057": these forty|strong="H0705" years|strong="H8141" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" hath been with thee; thou hast lacked|strong="H2637" nothing|strong="H1697".

And when we passed|strong="H5674" by from our brethren|strong="H0251" the children|strong="H1121" of Esau|strong="H6215", which dwelt|strong="H3427" in Seir|strong="H8165", through the way|strong="H1870" of the plain|strong="H6160" from Elath|strong="H0359", and from Ezion-gaber|strong="H6100", we turned|strong="H6437" and passed|strong="H5674" by the way|strong="H1870" of the wilderness|strong="H4057" of Moab|strong="H4124".

And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto me, Distress|strong="H6696" not the Moabites|strong="H4124", neither contend|strong="H1624" with them in battle|strong="H4421": for I will not give|strong="H5414" thee of their land|strong="H0776" for a possession|strong="H3425"; because I have given|strong="H5414" Ar|strong="H6144" unto the children|strong="H1121" of Lot|strong="H3876" for a possession|strong="H3425".

The Emims|strong="H0368" dwelt|strong="H3427" therein in times past|strong="H6440", a people|strong="H5971" great|strong="H1419", and many|strong="H7227", and tall|strong="H7311", as the Anakims|strong="H6062";

Which|strong="H1992" also were accounted|strong="H2803" giants|strong="H7497", as the Anakims|strong="H6062"; but the Moabites|strong="H4125" call|strong="H7121" them Emims|strong="H0368".

The Horims|strong="H2752" also dwelt|strong="H3427" in Seir|strong="H8165" beforetime|strong="H6440"; but the children|strong="H1121" of Esau|strong="H6215" succeeded|strong="H3423" them, when they had destroyed|strong="H8045" them from before|strong="H6440" them, and dwelt|strong="H3427" in their stead; as Israel|strong="H3478" did|strong="H6213" unto the land|strong="H0776" of his possession|strong="H3425", which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* gave|strong="H5414" unto them.

Now rise up|strong="H6965", said I, and get you over|strong="H5674" the brook|strong="H5158" Zered|strong="H2218". And we went over|strong="H5674" the brook|strong="H5158" Zered|strong="H2218".

And the space|strong="H3117" in which we came|strong="H1980" from Kadesh-barnea|strong="H6947", until we were come over|strong="H5674" the brook|strong="H5158" Zered|strong="H2218", was thirty|strong="H7970" and eight|strong="H8083" years|strong="H8141"; until all the generation|strong="H1755" of the men|strong="H0582" of war|strong="H4421" were wasted out|strong="H8552" from among|strong="H7130" the host|strong="H4264", as the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* sware|strong="H7650" unto them.

For indeed the hand|strong="H3027" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was against them, to destroy|strong="H2000" them from among|strong="H7130" the host|strong="H4264", until they were consumed|strong="H8552".

So it came to pass, when all the men|strong="H0582" of war|strong="H4421" were consumed|strong="H8552" and dead|strong="H4191" from among|strong="H7130" the people|strong="H5971",

That the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spake|strong="H1696" unto me, saying|strong="H0559",

Thou art to pass over|strong="H5674" through Ar|strong="H6144", the coast|strong="H1366" of Moab|strong="H4124", this day|strong="H3117":

And when thou comest nigh|strong="H7126" over against|strong="H4136" the children|strong="H1121" of Ammon|strong="H5983", distress|strong="H6696" them not, nor meddle|strong="H1624" with them: for I will not give|strong="H5414" thee of the land|strong="H0776" of the children|strong="H1121" of Ammon|strong="H5983" any possession|strong="H3425"; because I have given|strong="H5414" it unto the children|strong="H1121" of Lot|strong="H3876" for a possession|strong="H3425".

(That also was accounted|strong="H2803" a land|strong="H0776" of giants|strong="H7497": giants|strong="H7497" dwelt|strong="H3427" therein in old time|strong="H6440"; and the Ammonites|strong="H5984" call|strong="H7121" them Zamzummims|strong="H2157";

A people|strong="H5971" great|strong="H1419", and many|strong="H7227", and tall|strong="H7311", as the Anakims|strong="H6062"; but the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* destroyed|strong="H8045" them before|strong="H6440" them; and they succeeded|strong="H3423" them, and dwelt|strong="H3427" in their stead:

As he did|strong="H6213" to the children|strong="H1121" of Esau|strong="H6215", which dwelt|strong="H3427" in Seir|strong="H8165", when he destroyed|strong="H8045" the Horims|strong="H2752" from before|strong="H6440" them; and they succeeded|strong="H3423" them, and dwelt|strong="H3427" in their stead even unto this day|strong="H3117":

And the Avims|strong="H5761" which dwelt|strong="H3427" in Hazerim|strong="H2699", even unto Azzah|strong="H5804", the Caphtorims|strong="H3732", which came forth|strong="H3318" out of Caphtor|strong="H3731", destroyed|strong="H8045" them, and dwelt|strong="H3427" in their stead.)

Rise ye up|strong="H6965", take your journey|strong="H5265", and pass over|strong="H5674" the river|strong="H5158" Arnon|strong="H0769": behold|strong="H7200", I have given|strong="H5414" into thine hand|strong="H3027" Sihon|strong="H5511" the Amorite|strong="H0567", king|strong="H4428" of Heshbon|strong="H2809", and his land|strong="H0776": begin|strong="H2490" to possess|strong="H3423" it, and contend|strong="H1624" with him in battle|strong="H4421".

This day|strong="H3117" will I begin|strong="H2490" to put|strong="H5414" the dread|strong="H6343" of thee and the fear|strong="H3374" of thee upon the nations|strong="H6440" that are under the whole heaven|strong="H8064", who shall hear|strong="H8085" report|strong="H8088" of thee, and shall tremble|strong="H7264", and be in anguish|strong="H2342" because of thee|strong="H6440".

And I sent|strong="H7971" messengers|strong="H4397" out of the wilderness|strong="H4057" of Kedemoth|strong="H6932" unto Sihon|strong="H5511" king|strong="H4428" of Heshbon|strong="H2809" with words|strong="H1697" of peace|strong="H7965", saying|strong="H0559",

Let me pass|strong="H5674" through thy land|strong="H0776": I will go|strong="H3212" along by the high way|strong="H1870", I will neither turn|strong="H5493" unto the right hand|strong="H3225" nor to the left|strong="H8040".

Thou shalt sell|strong="H7666" me meat|strong="H0400" for money|strong="H3701", that I may eat|strong="H0398"; and give|strong="H5414" me water|strong="H4325" for money|strong="H3701", that I may drink|strong="H8354": only I will pass through|strong="H5674" on my feet|strong="H7272";

(As the children|strong="H1121" of Esau|strong="H6215" which dwell|strong="H3427" in Seir|strong="H8165", and the Moabites|strong="H4125" which dwell|strong="H3427" in Ar|strong="H6144", did|strong="H6213" unto me;) until I shall pass over|strong="H5674" Jordan|strong="H3383" into the land|strong="H0776" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* our God|strong="H0430" giveth|strong="H5414" us.

But Sihon|strong="H5511" king|strong="H4428" of Heshbon|strong="H2809" would|strong="H0014" not let us pass|strong="H5674" by him: for the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" hardened|strong="H7185" his spirit|strong="H7307", and made his heart|strong="H3824" obstinate|strong="H0553", that he might deliver|strong="H5414" him into thy hand|strong="H3027", as appeareth this day|strong="H3117".

And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto me, Behold|strong="H7200", I have begun|strong="H2490" to give|strong="H5414" Sihon|strong="H5511" and his land|strong="H0776" before|strong="H6440" thee: begin|strong="H2490" to possess|strong="H3423", that thou mayest inherit|strong="H3423" his land|strong="H0776".

Then Sihon|strong="H5511" came out|strong="H3318" against|strong="H7125" us, he and all his people|strong="H5971", to fight|strong="H4421" at Jahaz|strong="H3096".

And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* our God|strong="H0430" delivered|strong="H5414" him before|strong="H6440" us; and we smote|strong="H5221" him, and his sons|strong="H1121", and all his people|strong="H5971".

And we took|strong="H3920" all his cities|strong="H5892" at that time|strong="H6256", and utterly destroyed|strong="H2763" the men|strong="H4962", and the women|strong="H0802", and the little ones|strong="H2945", of every city|strong="H5892", we left|strong="H7604" none to remain|strong="H8300":

Only the cattle|strong="H0929" we took for a prey|strong="H0962" unto ourselves, and the spoil|strong="H7998" of the cities|strong="H5892" which we took|strong="H3920".

From Aroer|strong="H6177", which is by the brink|strong="H8193" of the river|strong="H5158" of Arnon|strong="H0769", and from the city|strong="H5892" that is by the river|strong="H5158", even unto Gilead|strong="H1568", there was not one city|strong="H7151" too strong|strong="H7682" for us: the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* our God|strong="H0430" delivered|strong="H5414" all unto us|strong="H6440":

Only unto the land|strong="H0776" of the children|strong="H1121" of Ammon|strong="H5983" thou camest|strong="H7126" not, nor unto any place|strong="H3027" of the river|strong="H5158" Jabbok|strong="H2999", nor unto the cities|strong="H5892" in the mountains|strong="H2022", nor unto whatsoever the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* our God|strong="H0430" forbad|strong="H6680" us.
