2 Tenho-me por venturoso, ó rei Agripa, de que perante ti me haja, hoje, de defender de todas as coisas de que sou acusado pelos judeus,
3 Especially|strong="G3122" because I know thee|strong="G4571" to be|strong="G5607" expert|strong="G1109" in all|strong="G3956" customs|strong="G5037" and|strong="G2532" questions|strong="G1352" which are|strong="G2596" among|strong="G2453" the Jews|strong="G1485": wherefore|strong="G1189" I beseech|strong="G4675" thee|strong="G3116" to hear|strong="G0191" me|strong="G3450" patiently.
3 mormente sabendo eu que tens conhecimento de todos os costumes e questões que há entre os judeus; pelo que te rogo que me ouças com paciência.

4 A minha vida, pois, desde a mocidade, qual haja sido, desde o princípio, em Jerusalém, entre os da minha nação, todos os judeus a sabem.

6 E, agora, pela esperança da promessa que por Deus foi feita a nossos pais, estou aqui e sou julgado,

7 à qual as nossas doze tribos esperam chegar, servindo a Deus continuamente, noite e dia. Por esta esperança, ó rei Agripa, eu sou acusado pelos judeus.

8 Pois quê? Julga-se coisa incrível entre vós que Deus ressuscite os mortos?
9 I|strong="G1473" verily|strong="G3767" thought|strong="G1380" with myself|strong="G1683", that I ought|strong="G1163" to do|strong="G4238" many things|strong="G4183" contrary|strong="G1727" to|strong="G4314" the name|strong="G3686" of Jesus|strong="G2424" of Nazareth|strong="G3480".
9 Bem tinha eu imaginado que contra o nome de Jesus, o Nazareno, devia eu praticar muitos atos,
10 Which thing|strong="G3739" I|strong="G4160" also|strong="G2532" did|strong="G4160" in|strong="G1722" Jerusalem|strong="G2414": and|strong="G2532" many|strong="G4183" of the saints|strong="G0040" did|strong="G2623" I|strong="G1473" shut up|strong="G2623" in prison|strong="G5438", having received|strong="G2983" authority|strong="G1849" from|strong="G3844" the chief priests|strong="G0749"; and|strong="G5037" when they|strong="G0846" were put to death|strong="G0337", I gave|strong="G2702" my voice|strong="G5586" against|strong="G2702" them.
10 o que também fiz em Jerusalém. E, havendo recebido poder dos principais dos sacerdotes, encerrei muitos dos santos nas prisões; e, quando os matavam, eu dava o meu voto contra eles.
11 And|strong="G2532" I punished|strong="G5097" them|strong="G0846" oft|strong="G4178" in|strong="G2596" every|strong="G3956" synagogue|strong="G4864", and compelled|strong="G0315" them to blaspheme|strong="G0987"; and|strong="G5037" being|strong="G1693" exceedingly|strong="G4057" mad|strong="G1693" against them|strong="G0846", I persecuted|strong="G1377" them even|strong="G2193" unto|strong="G1519" strange|strong="G1854" cities|strong="G4172".
11 E, castigando-os muitas vezes por todas as sinagogas, os obriguei a blasfemar. E, enfurecido demasiadamente contra eles, até nas cidades estranhas os persegui.
12 Whereupon|strong="G3739" as|strong="G2532" I went|strong="G4198" to|strong="G1519" Damascus|strong="G1154" with|strong="G3326" authority|strong="G1849" and|strong="G2532" commission|strong="G2011" from|strong="G3844" the chief priests|strong="G0749",
12 Sobre o que, indo, então, a Damasco, com poder e comissão dos principais dos sacerdotes,

13 ao meio-dia, ó rei, vi no caminho uma luz do céu, que excedia o esplendor do sol, cuja claridade me envolveu a mim e aos que iam comigo.

14 E, caindo nós todos por terra, ouvi uma voz que me falava e, em língua hebraica, dizia: Saulo, Saulo, por que me persegues? Dura

15 E disse eu: Quem és, Senhor? E ele respondeu: Eu sou Jesus, a quem tu persegues.

16 Mas levanta-te e põe-te sobre teus pés, porque te apareci por isto, para te pôr por ministro e testemunha tanto das

17 livrando-te deste povo e

18 para lhes abrires os olhos e das trevas e
19 Whereupon|strong="G3606", O king|strong="G0935" Agrippa|strong="G0067", I was|strong="G1096" not|strong="G3756" disobedient|strong="G0545" unto the heavenly|strong="G3770" vision|strong="G3701":
19 Pelo que, ó rei Agripa, não fui desobediente à visão celestial.
20 But|strong="G0235" shewed|strong="G0518" first|strong="G4412" unto them|strong="G3588" of|strong="G1722" Damascus|strong="G1154", and|strong="G2532" at Jerusalem|strong="G2414", and|strong="G5037" throughout|strong="G1519" all|strong="G3956" the coasts|strong="G5561" of Judæa|strong="G2449", and|strong="G2532" then to the Gentiles|strong="G1484", that they should repent|strong="G3340" and|strong="G2532" turn|strong="G1994" to|strong="G1909" God|strong="G2316", and do|strong="G4238" works|strong="G2041" meet|strong="G0514" for repentance|strong="G3341".
20 Antes, anunciei primeiramente aos que estão em Damasco e em Jerusalém, e por toda a terra da Judeia, e aos gentios, que se emendassem e se convertessem a Deus, fazendo obras dignas de arrependimento.
21 For|strong="G1752" these causes|strong="G5130" the Jews|strong="G2453" caught|strong="G4815" me|strong="G3165" in|strong="G1722" the temple|strong="G2411", and went about|strong="G3987" to kill|strong="G1315" me.
21 Por causa disto, os judeus lançaram mão de mim no templo e procuraram matar- me.
22 Having|strong="G5177" therefore|strong="G3767" obtained|strong="G5177" help|strong="G1947" of|strong="G3844" God|strong="G2316", I continue|strong="G2476" unto|strong="G0891" this|strong="G3778" day|strong="G2250", witnessing|strong="G3140" both|strong="G5037" to small|strong="G3398" and|strong="G2532" great|strong="G3173", saying|strong="G3004" none|strong="G3762" other things|strong="G1622" than|strong="G5037" those which|strong="G3739" the prophets|strong="G4396" and|strong="G2532" Moses|strong="G3475" did say|strong="G2980" should|strong="G3195" come|strong="G1096":
22 Mas, alcançando socorro de Deus, ainda até ao dia de hoje permaneço, dando testemunho, tanto a pequenos como a grandes, não dizendo nada mais do que o que os profetas e Moisés disseram que devia acontecer,
23 That|strong="G1487" Christ|strong="G5547" should|strong="G3195" suffer|strong="G3805", and that|strong="G1487" he should be the first|strong="G4413" that should rise|strong="G0386" from|strong="G1537" the dead|strong="G3498", and should shew|strong="G2605" light|strong="G5457" unto the people|strong="G2992", and|strong="G2532" to the Gentiles|strong="G1484".
23 isto é, que o Cristo devia padecer e, sendo o primeiro da ressurreição dos mortos, devia anunciar a luz a este povo e aos gentios.
24 And|strong="G1161" as he|strong="G0846" thus|strong="G5023" spake for himself|strong="G0626", Festus|strong="G5347" said|strong="G5346" with a loud|strong="G3173" voice|strong="G5456", Paul|strong="G3972", thou art beside thyself|strong="G3105"; much|strong="G4183" learning|strong="G1121" doth make|strong="G4062" thee|strong="G4571" mad|strong="G3130".
24 E, dizendo ele isto em sua defesa, disse Festo em alta voz: Estás louco, Paulo! As muitas letras te fazem delirar!
25 But|strong="G1161" he said|strong="G5346", I am|strong="G3105" not|strong="G3756" mad|strong="G3105", most noble|strong="G2903" Festus|strong="G5347"; but|strong="G0235" speak forth|strong="G0669" the words|strong="G4487" of truth|strong="G0225" and|strong="G2532" soberness|strong="G4997".
25 Mas ele disse: Não deliro, ó potentíssimo Festo! Antes, digo palavras de verdade e de um são juízo.
26 For|strong="G1063" the king|strong="G0935" knoweth|strong="G1987" of|strong="G4012" these things|strong="G5130", before|strong="G4314" whom|strong="G3739" also|strong="G2532" I speak|strong="G2980" freely|strong="G3955": for|strong="G1063" I am persuaded|strong="G3982" that none|strong="G3762" of these things|strong="G5130" are hidden from|strong="G2990" him|strong="G0846"; for|strong="G1063" this thing|strong="G5124" was|strong="G2076" not|strong="G3756" done|strong="G4238" in|strong="G1722" a corner|strong="G1137".
26 Porque o rei, diante de quem falo com ousadia, sabe estas coisas, pois não creio que nada disto lhe é oculto; porque isto não se fez em qualquer canto.
27 King|strong="G0935" Agrippa|strong="G0067", believest thou|strong="G4100" the prophets|strong="G4396"? I know|strong="G1492" that|strong="G3754" thou believest|strong="G4100".
27 Crês tu nos profetas, ó rei Agripa? Bem sei que crês.
28 Then|strong="G1161" Agrippa|strong="G0067" said|strong="G5346" unto|strong="G4314" Paul|strong="G3972", Almost|strong="G3641" thou persuadest|strong="G3982" me|strong="G3165" to be|strong="G1096" a Christian|strong="G5546".
28 E disse Agripa a Paulo: Por pouco me queres persuadir a que me faça cristão!
29 And|strong="G1161" Paul|strong="G3972" said|strong="G2036", I would|strong="G2172" to God|strong="G2316", that|strong="G2172" not|strong="G3756" only|strong="G3440" thou|strong="G4571", but|strong="G0235" also|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956" that hear|strong="G0191" me|strong="G3450" this day|strong="G4594", were|strong="G1096" both|strong="G2532" almost|strong="G3641", and|strong="G2532" altogether|strong="G4183" such|strong="G5108" as|strong="G3697" I|strong="G2504" am|strong="G1510", except|strong="G3924" these|strong="G5130" bonds|strong="G1199".
29 E disse Paulo: Prouvera a Deus que, ou por pouco ou por muito, não somente tu, mas também todos quantos hoje me estão ouvindo se tornassem tais qual eu sou, exceto estas cadeias.
30 And|strong="G2532" when he|strong="G0846" had|strong="G2036" thus|strong="G5023" spoken|strong="G2036", the king|strong="G0935" rose up|strong="G0450", and|strong="G2532" the governor|strong="G2232", and|strong="G5037" Bernice|strong="G0959", and|strong="G2532" they|strong="G3588" that sat|strong="G4775" with them|strong="G0846":
30 Dizendo ele isto, se levantou o rei, e o governador, e Berenice, e os que com eles estavam assentados.
31 And|strong="G2532" when they were gone aside|strong="G0402", they talked|strong="G2980" between|strong="G4314" themselves|strong="G0240", saying|strong="G3004", This|strong="G3778" man|strong="G0444" doeth|strong="G4238" nothing|strong="G3762" worthy|strong="G0514" of death|strong="G2288" or|strong="G2228" of bonds|strong="G1199".
31 E, apartando-se dali, falavam uns com os outros, dizendo: Este homem nada fez digno de morte ou de prisões.
32 Then|strong="G1161" said|strong="G5346" Agrippa|strong="G0067" unto Festus|strong="G5347", This|strong="G3778" man|strong="G0444" might have been|strong="G1410" set at liberty|strong="G0630", if|strong="G1487" he had|strong="G1941" not|strong="G3361" appealed|strong="G1941" unto Cæsar|strong="G2541".
32 E Agripa disse a Festo: Bem podia soltar-se este homem, se não houvera apelado para César.
