His mother’s|strong="H0517" name|strong="H8034" also was Jerushah|strong="H3388", the daughter|strong="H1323" of Zadok|strong="H6659".
1 Tinha Jotão vinte e cinco anos de idade, quando começou a reinar, e reinou dezesseis anos em Jerusalém; e era o nome de sua mãe Jerusa, filha de Zadoque.

3 Ele edificou a porta superior da casa do Senhor, e também edificou muitas obras sobre o muro de Ofel.
4 Moreover he built|strong="H1129" cities|strong="H5892" in the mountains|strong="H2022" of Judah|strong="H3063", and in the forests|strong="H2793" he built|strong="H1129" castles|strong="H1003" and towers|strong="H4026".
4 Também edificou cidades nas montanhas de Judá, e castelos e torres nos bosques.
5 He fought|strong="H3898" also with the king|strong="H4428" of the Ammonites|strong="H5984", and prevailed|strong="H2388" against them. And the children|strong="H1121" of Ammon|strong="H5983" gave|strong="H5414" him the same year|strong="H8141" an hundred|strong="H3967" talents|strong="H3603" of silver|strong="H3701", and ten|strong="H6235" thousand|strong="H0505" measures|strong="H3734" of wheat|strong="H2406", and ten|strong="H6235" thousand|strong="H0505" of barley|strong="H8184". 6 Assim se fortificou Jotão, porque dirigiu os seus caminhos na presença do Senhor seu Deus.

9 E dormiu Jotão com seus pais, e sepultaram-no na cidade de Davi; e Acaz, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.
