His mother’s|strong="H0517" name|strong="H8034" also was Jerushah|strong="H3388", the daughter|strong="H1323" of Zadok|strong="H6659".
2 And he did|strong="H6213" that which was right|strong="H3477" in the sight|strong="H5869" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, according to all that his father|strong="H0001" Uzziah|strong="H5818" did|strong="H6213": howbeit he entered|strong="H0935" not into the temple|strong="H1964" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*. And the people|strong="H5971" did yet corruptly|strong="H7843".
3 He built|strong="H1129" the high|strong="H5945" gate|strong="H8179" of the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and on the wall|strong="H2346" of Ophel|strong="H6077" he built|strong="H1129" much|strong="H7230".
4 Moreover he built|strong="H1129" cities|strong="H5892" in the mountains|strong="H2022" of Judah|strong="H3063", and in the forests|strong="H2793" he built|strong="H1129" castles|strong="H1003" and towers|strong="H4026".
5 He fought|strong="H3898" also with the king|strong="H4428" of the Ammonites|strong="H5984", and prevailed|strong="H2388" against them. And the children|strong="H1121" of Ammon|strong="H5983" gave|strong="H5414" him the same year|strong="H8141" an hundred|strong="H3967" talents|strong="H3603" of silver|strong="H3701", and ten|strong="H6235" thousand|strong="H0505" measures|strong="H3734" of wheat|strong="H2406", and ten|strong="H6235" thousand|strong="H0505" of barley|strong="H8184". So much did the children|strong="H1121" of Ammon|strong="H5983" pay|strong="H7725" unto|strong="H2063" him, both the second|strong="H8145" year|strong="H8141", and the third|strong="H7992".
6 So Jotham|strong="H3147" became mighty|strong="H2388", because he prepared|strong="H3559" his ways|strong="H1870" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* his God|strong="H0430".
7 Now the rest|strong="H3499" of the acts|strong="H1697" of Jotham|strong="H3147", and all his wars|strong="H4421", and his ways|strong="H1870", lo, they are written|strong="H3789" in the book|strong="H5612" of the kings|strong="H4428" of Israel|strong="H3478" and Judah|strong="H3063".
