1 Joash|strong="H3101" was seven|strong="H7651" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1121" when he began to reign|strong="H4427", and he reigned|strong="H4427" forty|strong="H0705" years|strong="H8141" in Jerusalem|strong="H3389". His mother’s|strong="H0517" name|strong="H8034" also was Zibiah|strong="H6645" of Beer-sheba|strong="H0884".
1 Tinha Joás sete anos de idade quando começou a reinar e quarenta anos reinou em Jerusalém.
2 And Joash|strong="H3101" did|strong="H6213" that which was right|strong="H3477" in the sight|strong="H5869" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* all the days|strong="H3117" of Jehoiada|strong="H3077" the priest|strong="H3548".
2 Era o nome de sua mãe Zíbia, de Berseba. Fez Joás o que era reto perante o Senhor todos os dias do sacerdote Joiada.
3 And Jehoiada|strong="H3077" took|strong="H5375" for him two|strong="H8147" wives|strong="H0802"; and he begat|strong="H3205" sons|strong="H1121" and daughters|strong="H1323".
3 Tomou-lhe Joiada duas mulheres; e gerou filhos e filhas.
4 And it came to pass after|strong="H0310" this, that Joash|strong="H3101" was minded|strong="H3820" to repair|strong="H2318" the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
4 Depois disto, resolveu Joás restaurar a Casa do Senhor .
5 And he gathered together|strong="H6908" the priests|strong="H3548" and the Levites|strong="H3881", and said|strong="H0559" to them, Go out|strong="H3318" unto the cities|strong="H5892" of Judah|strong="H3063", and gather|strong="H6908" of all Israel|strong="H3478" money|strong="H3701" to repair|strong="H2388" the house|strong="H1004" of your God|strong="H0430" from|strong="H1767" year|strong="H8141" to year|strong="H8141", and see that ye hasten|strong="H4116" the matter|strong="H1697". Howbeit the Levites|strong="H3881" hastened|strong="H4116" it not.
5 Reuniu os sacerdotes e os levitas e lhes disse: Saí pelas cidades de Judá e levantai dinheiro de todo o Israel para reparardes a casa do vosso Deus, de ano em ano; e, vós, apressai-vos nisto. Porém os levitas não se apressaram.
6 And the king|strong="H4428" called|strong="H7121" for Jehoiada|strong="H3077" the chief|strong="H7218", and said|strong="H0559" unto him, Why hast thou not required|strong="H1875" of the Levites|strong="H3881" to bring in|strong="H0935" out of Judah|strong="H3063" and out of Jerusalem|strong="H3389" the collection|strong="H4864", according to the commandment of Moses|strong="H4872" the servant|strong="H5650" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and of the congregation|strong="H6951" of Israel|strong="H3478", for the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of witness|strong="H5715"?
6 Mandou o rei chamar a Joiada, o chefe, e lhe perguntou: Por que não requereste dos levitas que trouxessem de Judá e de Jerusalém o imposto que Moisés, servo do Senhor , pôs sobre a congregação de Israel, para a tenda do Testemunho?
7 For the sons|strong="H1121" of Athaliah|strong="H6271", that wicked|strong="H4849" woman, had broken up|strong="H6555" the house|strong="H1004" of God|strong="H0430"; and also all the dedicated things|strong="H6944" of the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* did they bestow|strong="H6213" upon Baalim|strong="H1168".
7 Porque a perversa Atalia e seus filhos arruinaram a Casa de Deus; e usaram todas as coisas sagradas da Casa do Senhor no serviço dos baalins.
8 And at the king’s|strong="H4428" commandment|strong="H0559" they made|strong="H6213" a|strong="H0259" chest|strong="H0727", and set|strong="H5414" it without|strong="H2351" at the gate|strong="H8179" of the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
8 Deu o rei ordem e fizeram um cofre e o puseram do lado de fora, à porta da Casa do Senhor .
9 And they made|strong="H5414" a proclamation|strong="H6963" through Judah|strong="H3063" and Jerusalem|strong="H3389", to bring in|strong="H0935" to the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* the collection|strong="H4864" that Moses|strong="H4872" the servant|strong="H5650" of God|strong="H0430" laid upon Israel|strong="H3478" in the wilderness|strong="H4057".
9 Publicou-se, em Judá e em Jerusalém, que trouxessem ao Senhor o imposto que Moisés, servo de Deus, havia posto sobre Israel, no deserto.
10 And all the princes|strong="H8269" and all the people|strong="H5971" rejoiced|strong="H8055", and brought in|strong="H0935", and cast|strong="H7993" into the chest|strong="H0727", until they had made an end|strong="H3615".
10 Então, todos os príncipes e todo o povo se alegraram, e trouxeram o imposto, e o lançaram no cofre, até acabar a obra.
11 Now it came to pass, that at what time|strong="H6256" the chest|strong="H0727" was brought|strong="H0935" unto the king’s|strong="H4428" office|strong="H6486" by the hand|strong="H3027" of the Levites|strong="H3881", and when they saw|strong="H7200" that there was much|strong="H7227" money|strong="H3701", the king’s|strong="H4428" scribe|strong="H5608" and the high|strong="H7218" priest’s|strong="H3548" officer|strong="H6496" came|strong="H0935" and emptied|strong="H6168" the chest|strong="H0727", and took|strong="H5375" it, and carried|strong="H7725" it to his place|strong="H4725" again|strong="H7725". Thus they did|strong="H6213" day|strong="H3117" by day|strong="H3117", and gathered|strong="H0622" money|strong="H3701" in abundance|strong="H7230".
11 Quando o cofre era levado por intermédio dos levitas a uma comissão real, vendo-se que havia muito dinheiro, vinha o escrivão do rei e o comissário do sumo sacerdote, esvaziavam-no, tomavam-no e o levavam de novo ao seu lugar; assim faziam dia após dia e ajuntaram dinheiro em abundância,
12 And the king|strong="H4428" and Jehoiada|strong="H3077" gave|strong="H5414" it to such as did|strong="H6213" the work|strong="H4399" of the service|strong="H5656" of the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and hired|strong="H7936" masons|strong="H2672" and carpenters|strong="H2796" to repair|strong="H2318" the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and also such as wrought|strong="H2796" iron|strong="H1270" and brass|strong="H5178" to mend|strong="H2388" the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
12 o qual o rei e Joiada davam aos que dirigiam a obra e tinham a seu cargo a Casa do Senhor ; contrataram pedreiros e carpinteiros, para restaurarem a Casa do Senhor , como também os que trabalhavam em ferro e em bronze, para repararem a Casa do Senhor .
13 So the workmen|strong="H4399" wrought|strong="H6213", and the work|strong="H4399" was|strong="H5927" perfected|strong="H0724" by them|strong="H3027", and they set|strong="H5975" the house|strong="H1004" of God|strong="H0430" in his state|strong="H4971", and strengthened|strong="H0553" it.
13 Os que tinham o encargo da obra trabalhavam, e a reparação tinha bom êxito com eles; restauraram a Casa de Deus no seu próprio estado e a consolidaram.
14 And when they had finished|strong="H3615" it, they brought|strong="H0935" the rest|strong="H7605" of the money|strong="H3701" before|strong="H6440" the king|strong="H4428" and Jehoiada|strong="H3077", whereof were made|strong="H6213" vessels|strong="H3627" for the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, even vessels|strong="H3627" to minister|strong="H8335", and to offer|strong="H5927" withal, and spoons|strong="H3709", and vessels|strong="H3627" of gold|strong="H2091" and silver|strong="H3701". And they offered|strong="H5927" burnt offerings|strong="H5930" in the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* continually|strong="H8548" all the days|strong="H3117" of Jehoiada|strong="H3077".
14 Tendo eles acabado a obra, trouxeram ao rei e a Joiada o resto do dinheiro, de que se fizeram utensílios para a Casa do Senhor , objetos para o ministério e para os holocaustos, taças e outros objetos de ouro e de prata. E continuamente ofereceram holocaustos na Casa do Senhor , todos os dias de Joiada.
15 But Jehoiada|strong="H3077" waxed old|strong="H2204", and was full|strong="H7646" of days|strong="H3117" when he died|strong="H4191"; an hundred|strong="H3967" and thirty|strong="H7970" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1121" was he when he died|strong="H4194".
15 Envelheceu Joiada e morreu farto de dias; era da idade de cento e trinta anos quando morreu.
16 And they buried|strong="H6912" him in the city|strong="H5892" of David|strong="H1732" among the kings|strong="H4428", because he had done|strong="H6213" good|strong="H2896" in Israel|strong="H3478", both toward God|strong="H0430", and toward his house|strong="H1004".
16 Sepultaram-no na Cidade de Davi com os reis; porque tinha feito bem em Israel e para com Deus e a sua casa.
17 Now after|strong="H0310" the death|strong="H4194" of Jehoiada|strong="H3077" came|strong="H0935" the princes|strong="H8269" of Judah|strong="H3063", and made obeisance|strong="H7812" to the king|strong="H4428". Then the king|strong="H4428" hearkened|strong="H8085" unto them.
17 Depois da morte de Joiada, vieram os príncipes de Judá e se prostraram perante o rei, e o rei os ouviu.
18 And they left|strong="H5800" the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of their fathers|strong="H0001", and served|strong="H5647" groves|strong="H0842" and idols|strong="H6091": and wrath|strong="H7110" came upon Judah|strong="H3063" and Jerusalem|strong="H3389" for this their trespass|strong="H0819".
18 Deixaram a Casa do Senhor , Deus de seus pais, e serviram aos postes-ídolos e aos ídolos; e, por esta sua culpa, veio grande ira sobre Judá e Jerusalém.
19 Yet he sent|strong="H7971" prophets|strong="H5030" to them, to bring them again|strong="H7725" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; and they testified|strong="H5749" against them: but they would not give ear|strong="H0238".
19 Porém o Senhor lhes enviou profetas para os reconduzir a si; estes profetas testemunharam contra eles, mas eles não deram ouvidos.
20 And the Spirit|strong="H7307" of God|strong="H0430" came|strong="H3847" upon Zechariah|strong="H2148" the son|strong="H1121" of Jehoiada|strong="H3077" the priest|strong="H3548", which stood|strong="H5975" above the people|strong="H5971", and said|strong="H0559" unto them, Thus saith|strong="H0559" God|strong="H0430", Why transgress|strong="H5674" ye the commandments|strong="H4687" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, that ye cannot prosper|strong="H6743"? because ye have forsaken|strong="H5800" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, he hath also forsaken|strong="H5800" you.
20 O Espírito de Deus se apoderou de Zacarias, filho do sacerdote Joiada, o qual se pôs em pé diante do povo e lhes disse: Assim diz Deus: Por que transgredis os mandamentos do Senhor , de modo que não prosperais? Porque deixastes o Senhor , também ele vos deixará.
21 And they conspired|strong="H7194" against him, and stoned|strong="H7275" him with stones|strong="H0068" at the commandment|strong="H4687" of the king|strong="H4428" in the court|strong="H2691" of the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
21 Conspiraram contra ele e o apedrejaram, por mandado do rei, no pátio da Casa do Senhor .
22 Thus Joash|strong="H3101" the king|strong="H4428" remembered|strong="H2142" not the kindness|strong="H2617" which Jehoiada|strong="H3077" his father|strong="H0001" had done|strong="H6213" to him, but slew|strong="H2026" his son|strong="H1121". And when he died|strong="H4194", he said|strong="H0559", The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* look|strong="H7200" upon it, and require|strong="H1875" it.
22 Assim, o rei Joás não se lembrou da beneficência que Joiada, pai de Zacarias, lhe fizera, porém matou-lhe o filho; este, ao expirar, disse: O Senhor o verá e o retribuirá.
23 And it came to pass at the end|strong="H8622" of the year|strong="H8141", that the host|strong="H2428" of Syria|strong="H0758" came up|strong="H5927" against him: and they came|strong="H0935" to Judah|strong="H3063" and Jerusalem|strong="H3389", and destroyed|strong="H7843" all the princes|strong="H8269" of the people|strong="H5971" from among the people|strong="H5971", and sent|strong="H7971" all the spoil|strong="H7998" of them unto the king|strong="H4428" of Damascus|strong="H1834".
23 Antes de se findar o ano, subiu contra Joás o exército dos siros; e, vindo a Judá e a Jerusalém, destruíram, dentre o povo, a todos os seus príncipes, cujo despojo remeteram ao rei de Damasco.
24 For the army|strong="H2428" of the Syrians|strong="H0758" came|strong="H0935" with a small|strong="H4705" company of men|strong="H0582", and the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* delivered|strong="H5414" a very|strong="H3966" great|strong="H7230" host|strong="H2428" into their hand|strong="H3027", because they had forsaken|strong="H5800" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of their fathers|strong="H0001". So they executed|strong="H6213" judgment|strong="H8201" against Joash|strong="H3101".
24 Ainda que o exército dos siros viera com poucos homens, contudo, o Senhor lhes permitiu vencer um exército mui numeroso dos judeus, porque estes deixaram o Senhor , Deus de seus pais. Assim, executaram os siros os juízos de Deus contra Joás.
25 And when they were departed|strong="H3212" from him, (for they left|strong="H5800" him in great|strong="H7227" diseases|strong="H4251",) his own servants|strong="H5650" conspired|strong="H7194" against him for the blood|strong="H1818" of the sons|strong="H1121" of Jehoiada|strong="H3077" the priest|strong="H3548", and slew|strong="H2026" him on his bed|strong="H4296", and he died|strong="H4191": and they buried|strong="H6912" him in the city|strong="H5892" of David|strong="H1732", but they buried|strong="H6912" him not in the sepulchres|strong="H6913" of the kings|strong="H4428".
25 Quando os siros se retiraram dele, deixando-o gravemente enfermo, conspiraram contra ele os seus servos, por causa do sangue dos filhos do sacerdote Joiada, e o feriram no seu leito, e morreu.
26 And these are they that conspired|strong="H7194" against him; Zabad|strong="H2066" the son|strong="H1121" of Shimeath|strong="H8100" an Ammonitess|strong="H5985", and Jehozabad|strong="H3075" the son|strong="H1121" of Shimrith|strong="H8116" a Moabitess|strong="H4125".
26 Sepultaram-no na Cidade de Davi, porém não nos sepulcros dos reis. Foram estes os que conspiraram contra ele: Zabade, filho de Simeate, a amonita, e Jeozabade, filho de Sinrite, a moabita.
27 Now concerning his sons|strong="H1121", and the greatness|strong="H7235" of the burdens|strong="H4853" laid upon him, and the repairing|strong="H3247" of the house|strong="H1004" of God|strong="H0430", behold, they are written|strong="H3789" in the story|strong="H4097" of the book|strong="H5612" of the kings|strong="H4428". And Amaziah|strong="H0558" his son|strong="H1121" reigned|strong="H4427" in his stead.
27 Quanto a seus filhos, e às numerosas sentenças proferidas contra ele, e à restauração da Casa de Deus, eis que estão escritos no Livro da História dos Reis. Em seu lugar, reinou Amazias, seu filho.
