1 And the men|strong="H0582" of Kirjath-jearim|strong="H7157" came|strong="H0935", and fetched up|strong="H5927" the ark|strong="H0727" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and brought|strong="H0935" it into the house|strong="H1004" of Abinadab|strong="H0041" in the hill|strong="H1389", and sanctified|strong="H6942" Eleazar|strong="H0499" his son|strong="H1121" to keep|strong="H8104" the ark|strong="H0727" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
1 E os homens de Quiriate-Jearim vieram, e ergueram a arca do SENHOR, e a trouxeram para dentro da casa de Abinadabe, no outeiro, e santificaram Eleazar, o seu filho, para guardar a arca do SENHOR.
2 And it came to pass, while|strong="H3117" the ark|strong="H0727" abode|strong="H3427" in Kirjath-jearim|strong="H7157", that the time|strong="H3117" was long|strong="H7235"; for it was twenty|strong="H6242" years|strong="H8141": and all the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478" lamented|strong="H5091" after|strong="H0310" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
2 E sucedeu que, enquanto a arca permanecia em Quiriate-Jearim, o tempo foi longo; pois se passaram vinte anos; e toda a casa de Israel lamentava pelo SENHOR.
3 And Samuel|strong="H8050" spake|strong="H0559" unto all the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478", saying|strong="H0559", If ye do return|strong="H7725" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* with all your hearts|strong="H3824", then put away|strong="H5493" the strange|strong="H5236" gods|strong="H0430" and Ashtaroth|strong="H6252" from among|strong="H8432" you, and prepare|strong="H3559" your hearts|strong="H3824" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and serve|strong="H5647" him only: and he will deliver|strong="H5337" you out of the hand|strong="H3027" of the Philistines|strong="H6430".
3 E Samuel falou a toda a casa de Israel, dizendo: Se, verdadeiramente, retornardes ao SENHOR de todo o vosso coração, então ponde de lado os deuses estranhos e removei Astarote do meio de vós, e preparai o vosso coração para o SENHOR, e servi a ele somente; e ele vos livrará da mão dos filisteus.
4 Then the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" did put away|strong="H5493" Baalim|strong="H1168" and Ashtaroth|strong="H6252", and served|strong="H5647" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* only.
4 Então os filhos de Israel, verdadeiramente, puseram de lado os baalins e Astarote, e serviram somente o SENHOR.
5 And Samuel|strong="H8050" said|strong="H0559", Gather|strong="H6908" all Israel|strong="H3478" to Mizpeh|strong="H4708", and I will pray|strong="H6419" for you unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
5 E Samuel disse: Congregai todo o Israel em Mispá, e eu orarei por vós ao SENHOR.
6 And they gathered together|strong="H6908" to Mizpeh|strong="H4709", and drew|strong="H7579" water|strong="H4325", and poured it out|strong="H8210" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and fasted|strong="H6684" on that day|strong="H3117", and said|strong="H0559" there, We have sinned|strong="H2398" against the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*. And Samuel|strong="H8050" judged|strong="H8199" the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" in Mizpeh|strong="H4708".
6 E eles se reuniram em Mispá, e tiraram água, e a derramaram diante do SENHOR, e jejuaram naquele dia, e ali disseram: Pecamos contra o SENHOR. E Samuel julgou os filhos de Israel em Mispá.
7 And when the Philistines|strong="H6430" heard|strong="H8085" that the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" were gathered together|strong="H6908" to Mizpeh|strong="H4708", the lords|strong="H5633" of the Philistines|strong="H6430" went up|strong="H5927" against Israel|strong="H3478". And when the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" heard|strong="H8085" it, they were afraid|strong="H3372" of|strong="H6440" the Philistines|strong="H6430".
7 E quando os filisteus ouviram que os filhos de Israel estavam reunidos em Mispá, os senhores dos filisteus subiram contra Israel. E, quando os filhos de Israel ouviram aquilo, ficaram com temor dos filisteus.
8 And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" said|strong="H0559" to Samuel|strong="H8050", Cease|strong="H2790" not to cry|strong="H2199" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* our God|strong="H0430" for us, that he will save|strong="H3467" us out of the hand|strong="H3027" of the Philistines|strong="H6430".
8 E os filhos de Israel disseram a Samuel: Não cesses de clamar por nós ao SENHOR nosso Deus, para que ele nos salve da mão dos filisteus.
9 And Samuel|strong="H8050" took|strong="H3947" a|strong="H0259" sucking|strong="H2461" lamb|strong="H2924", and offered|strong="H5927" it for a burnt offering|strong="H5930" wholly|strong="H3632" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: and Samuel|strong="H8050" cried|strong="H2199" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* for Israel|strong="H3478"; and the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* heard|strong="H6030" him.
9 E Samuel tomou um cordeiro que ainda mamava, e o ofereceu inteiramente como oferta queimada ao SENHOR; e Samuel clamou ao SENHOR por Israel; e o SENHOR o ouviu.
10 And as Samuel|strong="H8050" was offering up|strong="H5927" the burnt offering|strong="H5930", the Philistines|strong="H6430" drew near|strong="H5066" to battle|strong="H4421" against Israel|strong="H3478": but the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thundered|strong="H7481" with a great|strong="H1419" thunder|strong="H6963" on that day|strong="H3117" upon the Philistines|strong="H6430", and discomfited|strong="H2000" them; and they were smitten|strong="H5062" before|strong="H6440" Israel|strong="H3478".
10 E enquanto Samuel oferecia a oferta queimada, os filisteus se aproximaram para pelejar contra Israel; porém, naquele dia, o SENHOR trovejou com um grande trovão, naquele dia, sobre os filisteus, e os desmantelou; e eles foram feridos diante de Israel.
11 And the men|strong="H0582" of Israel|strong="H3478" went out|strong="H3318" of Mizpeh|strong="H4709", and pursued|strong="H7291" the Philistines|strong="H6430", and smote|strong="H5221" them, until they came under Beth-car|strong="H1033".
11 E os homens de Israel saíram de Mispá, e perseguiram os filisteus, e os feriram, até eles chegarem abaixo de Bete-Car.
12 Then Samuel|strong="H8050" took|strong="H3947" a|strong="H0259" stone|strong="H0068", and set|strong="H7760" it between Mizpeh|strong="H4709" and Shen|strong="H8129", and called|strong="H7121" the name|strong="H8034" of it Eben-ezer|strong="H0072", saying|strong="H0559", Hitherto hath the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* helped|strong="H5826" us.
12 Então Samuel pegou uma pedra, e a colocou entre Mispá e Sem, e chamou o seu nome de Ebenézer, dizendo: Até aqui o SENHOR nos ajudou.
13 So the Philistines|strong="H6430" were subdued|strong="H3665", and they came|strong="H0935" no more|strong="H3254" into the coast|strong="H1366" of Israel|strong="H3478": and the hand|strong="H3027" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was against the Philistines|strong="H6430" all the days|strong="H3117" of Samuel|strong="H8050".
13 Assim, os filisteus foram subjugados, e eles não entraram mais no termo de Israel; e a mão do SENHOR esteve contra os filisteus todos os dias de Samuel.
14 And the cities|strong="H5892" which the Philistines|strong="H6430" had taken|strong="H3947" from Israel|strong="H3478" were restored|strong="H7725" to Israel|strong="H3478", from Ekron|strong="H6138" even unto Gath|strong="H1661"; and the coasts|strong="H1366" thereof did Israel|strong="H3478" deliver|strong="H5337" out of the hands|strong="H3027" of the Philistines|strong="H6430". And there was peace|strong="H7965" between Israel|strong="H3478" and the Amorites|strong="H0567".
14 E as cidades que os filisteus haviam tomado de Israel foram restauradas a Israel, desde Ecrom até Gate; e os seus termos Israel libertou das mãos dos filisteus. E houve paz entre Israel e os amorreus.
15 And Samuel|strong="H8050" judged|strong="H8199" Israel|strong="H3478" all the days|strong="H3117" of his life|strong="H2416".
15 E Samuel julgou Israel todos os dias da sua vida.
16 And he went|strong="H1980" from|strong="H1767" year|strong="H8141" to year|strong="H8141" in circuit|strong="H5437" to Beth-el|strong="H1008", and Gilgal|strong="H1537", and Mizpeh|strong="H4709", and judged|strong="H8199" Israel|strong="H3478" in all those places|strong="H4725".
16 E ele ia de ano a ano e rodeava a Betel, e Gilgal e Mispá, e julgava Israel em todos aqueles lugares.
17 And his return|strong="H8666" was to Ramah|strong="H7414"; for there was his house|strong="H1004"; and there he judged|strong="H8199" Israel|strong="H3478"; and there he built|strong="H1129" an altar|strong="H4196" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
17 E o seu retorno era para Ramá, pois lá estava a sua casa; e lá ele julgava Israel; e lá ele edificou um altar ao SENHOR.
