1 And it came to pass in the four|strong="H0702" hundred|strong="H3967" and eightieth|strong="H8084" year|strong="H8141" after the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" were come out|strong="H3318" of the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714", in the fourth|strong="H7243" year|strong="H8141" of Solomon’s|strong="H8010" reign|strong="H4427" over Israel|strong="H3478", in the month|strong="H2320" Zif|strong="H2099", which is the second|strong="H8145" month|strong="H2320", that he began to build|strong="H1129" the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
2 And the house|strong="H1004" which king|strong="H4428" Solomon|strong="H8010" built|strong="H1129" for the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, the length|strong="H0753" thereof was threescore|strong="H8346" cubits|strong="H0520", and the breadth|strong="H7341" thereof twenty|strong="H6242" cubits, and the height|strong="H6967" thereof thirty|strong="H7970" cubits|strong="H0520".
3 And the porch|strong="H0197" before|strong="H6440" the temple|strong="H1964" of the house|strong="H1004", twenty|strong="H6242" cubits|strong="H0520" was the length|strong="H0753" thereof, according to the breadth|strong="H7341" of the house|strong="H1004"; and ten|strong="H6235" cubits|strong="H0520" was the breadth|strong="H7341" thereof before the house|strong="H1004".
4 And for the house|strong="H1004" he made|strong="H6213" windows|strong="H2474" of narrow|strong="H0331" lights|strong="H8261".
5 And against the wall|strong="H7023" of the house|strong="H1004" he built|strong="H1129" chambers|strong="H3326" round about|strong="H5439", against the walls|strong="H7023" of the house|strong="H1004" round about|strong="H5439", both of the temple|strong="H1964" and of the oracle|strong="H1687": and he made|strong="H6213" chambers|strong="H6763" round about|strong="H5439":
6 The nethermost|strong="H8481" chamber|strong="H3326" was five|strong="H2568" cubits|strong="H0520" broad|strong="H7341", and the middle|strong="H8484" was six|strong="H8337" cubits|strong="H0520" broad|strong="H7341", and the third|strong="H7992" was seven|strong="H7651" cubits|strong="H0520" broad|strong="H7341": for without in the wall of|strong="H2351" the house|strong="H1004" he made|strong="H5414" narrowed rests|strong="H4052" round about|strong="H5439", that the beams should not be fastened|strong="H0270" in the walls|strong="H7023" of the house|strong="H1004".
7 And the house|strong="H1004", when it was in building|strong="H1129", was built|strong="H1129" of stone|strong="H0068" made ready|strong="H8003" before it was brought|strong="H4551" thither: so that there was neither hammer|strong="H4717" nor axe|strong="H1631" nor any tool|strong="H3627" of iron|strong="H1270" heard|strong="H8085" in the house|strong="H1004", while it was in building|strong="H1129".
8 The door|strong="H6607" for the middle|strong="H8484" chamber|strong="H6763" was in the right|strong="H3233" side|strong="H3802" of the house|strong="H1004": and they went up|strong="H5927" with winding stairs|strong="H3883" into the middle|strong="H8484" chamber, and out of the middle|strong="H8484" into the third|strong="H7992".
9 So he built|strong="H1129" the house|strong="H1004", and finished|strong="H3615" it; and covered|strong="H5603" the house|strong="H1004" with beams|strong="H1356" and boards|strong="H7713" of cedar|strong="H0730".
10 And then he built|strong="H1129" chambers|strong="H3326" against all the house|strong="H1004", five|strong="H2568" cubits|strong="H0520" high|strong="H6967": and they rested|strong="H0270" on the house|strong="H1004" with timber|strong="H6086" of cedar|strong="H0730".
11 And the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* came to Solomon|strong="H8010", saying|strong="H0559",
12 Concerning this house|strong="H1004" which thou art in building|strong="H1129", if thou wilt walk|strong="H3212" in my statutes|strong="H2708", and execute|strong="H6213" my judgments|strong="H4941", and keep|strong="H8104" all my commandments|strong="H4687" to walk|strong="H3212" in them; then will I perform|strong="H6965" my word|strong="H1697" with thee, which I spake|strong="H1696" unto David|strong="H1732" thy father|strong="H0001":
13 And I will dwell|strong="H7931" among|strong="H8432" the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", and will not forsake|strong="H5800" my people|strong="H5971" Israel|strong="H3478".
14 So Solomon|strong="H8010" built|strong="H1129" the house|strong="H1004", and finished|strong="H3615" it.
15 And he built|strong="H1129" the walls|strong="H7023" of the house|strong="H1004" within|strong="H1004" with boards|strong="H6763" of cedar|strong="H0730", both the floor|strong="H7172" of the house|strong="H1004", and the walls|strong="H7023" of the cieling|strong="H5604": and he covered|strong="H6823" them on the inside|strong="H1004" with wood|strong="H6086", and covered|strong="H6823" the floor|strong="H7172" of the house|strong="H1004" with planks|strong="H6763" of fir|strong="H1265".
16 And he built|strong="H1129" twenty|strong="H6242" cubits|strong="H0520" on the sides|strong="H3411" of the house|strong="H1004", both|strong="H4480" the floor|strong="H7172" and the walls|strong="H7023" with boards|strong="H6763" of cedar|strong="H0730": he even built|strong="H1129" them for it within|strong="H1004", even for the oracle|strong="H1687", even for the most|strong="H6944" holy|strong="H6944" place.
17 And the house|strong="H1004", that is, the temple|strong="H1964" before|strong="H3942" it, was forty|strong="H0705" cubits|strong="H0520" long.
18 And the cedar|strong="H0730" of the house|strong="H1004" within|strong="H6441" was carved|strong="H4734" with knops|strong="H6497" and open|strong="H6362" flowers|strong="H6731": all was cedar|strong="H0730"; there was no stone|strong="H0068" seen|strong="H7200".
19 And the oracle|strong="H1687" he prepared|strong="H3559" in|strong="H8432" the house|strong="H1004" within|strong="H6441", to set|strong="H5414" there the ark|strong="H0727" of the covenant|strong="H1285" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
20 And the oracle|strong="H1687" in the forepart|strong="H6440" was twenty|strong="H6242" cubits|strong="H0520" in length|strong="H0753", and twenty|strong="H6242" cubits|strong="H0520" in breadth|strong="H7341", and twenty|strong="H6242" cubits|strong="H0520" in the height|strong="H6967" thereof: and he overlaid|strong="H6823" it with pure|strong="H5462" gold|strong="H2091"; and so covered|strong="H6823" the altar|strong="H4196" which was of cedar|strong="H0730".
21 So Solomon|strong="H8010" overlaid|strong="H6823" the house|strong="H1004" within|strong="H6441" with pure|strong="H5462" gold|strong="H2091": and he made a partition|strong="H5674" by the chains|strong="H7572" of gold|strong="H2091" before|strong="H6440" the oracle|strong="H1687"; and he overlaid|strong="H6823" it with gold|strong="H2091".
22 And the whole house|strong="H1004" he overlaid|strong="H6823" with gold|strong="H2091", until he had finished|strong="H8552" all the house|strong="H1004": also the whole altar|strong="H4196" that was by the oracle|strong="H1687" he overlaid|strong="H6823" with gold|strong="H2091".
23 And within the oracle|strong="H1687" he made|strong="H6213" two|strong="H8147" cherubims|strong="H3742" of olive|strong="H8081" tree|strong="H6086", each ten|strong="H6235" cubits|strong="H0520" high|strong="H6967".
24 And five|strong="H2568" cubits|strong="H0520" was the one|strong="H0259" wing|strong="H3671" of the cherub|strong="H3742", and five|strong="H2568" cubits|strong="H0520" the other|strong="H8145" wing|strong="H3671" of the cherub|strong="H3742": from the uttermost part|strong="H7098" of the one wing|strong="H3671" unto the uttermost part|strong="H7098" of the other|strong="H3671" were ten|strong="H6235" cubits|strong="H0520".
25 And the other|strong="H8145" cherub|strong="H3742" was ten|strong="H6235" cubits|strong="H0520": both|strong="H8147" the cherubims|strong="H3742" were of one|strong="H0259" measure|strong="H4060" and one|strong="H0259" size|strong="H7095".
26 The height|strong="H6967" of the one|strong="H0259" cherub|strong="H3742" was ten|strong="H6235" cubits|strong="H0520", and so was it of the other|strong="H8145" cherub|strong="H3742".
27 And he set|strong="H5414" the cherubims|strong="H3742" within|strong="H8432" the inner|strong="H6442" house|strong="H1004": and they stretched forth|strong="H6566" the wings|strong="H3671" of the cherubims|strong="H3742", so that the wing|strong="H3671" of the one|strong="H0259" touched|strong="H5060" the one wall|strong="H7023", and the wing|strong="H3671" of the other|strong="H8145" cherub|strong="H3742" touched|strong="H5060" the other|strong="H8145" wall|strong="H7023"; and their wings|strong="H3671" touched|strong="H5060" one|strong="H3671" another|strong="H3671" in the midst|strong="H8432" of the house|strong="H1004".
28 And he overlaid|strong="H6823" the cherubims|strong="H3742" with gold|strong="H2091".
29 And he carved|strong="H7049" all the walls|strong="H7023" of the house|strong="H1004" round about|strong="H4524" with carved|strong="H6603" figures|strong="H4734" of cherubims|strong="H3742" and palm trees|strong="H8561" and open|strong="H6362" flowers|strong="H6731", within|strong="H6441" and without|strong="H2435".
30 And the floor|strong="H7172" of the house|strong="H1004" he overlaid|strong="H6823" with gold|strong="H2091", within|strong="H6441" and without|strong="H2435".
31 And for the entering|strong="H6607" of the oracle|strong="H1687" he made|strong="H6213" doors|strong="H1817" of olive|strong="H8081" tree|strong="H6086": the lintel|strong="H0352" and side posts|strong="H4201" were a fifth part|strong="H2549" of the wall.
32 The two|strong="H8147" doors|strong="H1817" also were of olive|strong="H8081" tree|strong="H6086"; and he carved|strong="H7049" upon them carvings|strong="H4734" of cherubims|strong="H3742" and palm trees|strong="H8561" and open|strong="H6362" flowers|strong="H6731", and overlaid|strong="H6823" them with gold|strong="H2091", and spread|strong="H7286" gold|strong="H2091" upon the cherubims|strong="H3742", and upon the palm trees|strong="H8561".
33 So also made|strong="H6213" he for the door|strong="H6607" of the temple|strong="H1964" posts|strong="H4201" of olive|strong="H8081" tree|strong="H6086", a fourth part|strong="H7243" of the wall.
34 And the two|strong="H8147" doors|strong="H1817" were of fir|strong="H1265" tree|strong="H6086": the two|strong="H8147" leaves|strong="H6763" of the one|strong="H0259" door|strong="H1817" were folding|strong="H1550", and the two|strong="H8147" leaves|strong="H7050" of the other|strong="H8145" door|strong="H1817" were folding|strong="H1550".
35 And he carved|strong="H7049" thereon cherubims|strong="H3742" and palm trees|strong="H8561" and open|strong="H6362" flowers|strong="H6731": and covered|strong="H6823" them with gold|strong="H2091" fitted|strong="H3474" upon the carved work|strong="H2707".
36 And he built|strong="H1129" the inner|strong="H6442" court|strong="H2691" with three|strong="H7969" rows|strong="H2905" of hewed stone|strong="H1496", and a row|strong="H2905" of cedar|strong="H0730" beams|strong="H3773".
37 In the fourth|strong="H7243" year|strong="H8141" was the foundation|strong="H3245" of the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* laid|strong="H3245", in the month|strong="H3391" Zif|strong="H2099":
38 And in the eleventh|strong="H0259" year|strong="H8141", in the month|strong="H3391" Bul|strong="H0945", which is the eighth|strong="H8066" month|strong="H2320", was the house|strong="H1004" finished|strong="H3615" throughout all the parts|strong="H1697" thereof, and according to all the fashion|strong="H4941" of it. So was he seven|strong="H7651" years|strong="H8141" in building|strong="H1129" it.
