1 Pedro 3
King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006) vs VC
VC Versão Católica
1 Likewise|strong="G3668", ye wives|strong="G1135", be in subjection|strong="G5293" to your own|strong="G2398" husbands|strong="G0435"; that|strong="G2443", if|strong="G1487" any|strong="G5100" obey not|strong="G0544" the word|strong="G3056", they also|strong="G2532" may|strong="G2770" without|strong="G0427" the word|strong="G3056" be won|strong="G2770" by|strong="G1223" the conversation of the wives|strong="G1135";
1 — ausente —
2 While they behold|strong="G2029" your|strong="G5216" chaste|strong="G0053" conversation|strong="G0391" coupled with|strong="G1722" fear|strong="G5401".
2 having witnessed your pure conversation {carried out} in fear;
3 Whose|strong="G3739" adorning|strong="G2889" let it|strong="G2077" not|strong="G3756" be|strong="G2077" that outward|strong="G1855" adorning of plaiting|strong="G1708" the hair|strong="G2359", and|strong="G2532" of wearing|strong="G4025" of gold|strong="G5553", or|strong="G2228" of putting on|strong="G1745" of apparel|strong="G2440";
3 whose adorning let it not be that outward one of tressing of hair, and wearing gold, or putting on apparel;
4 But|strong="G0235" let it be the hidden|strong="G2927" man|strong="G0444" of the heart|strong="G2588", in|strong="G1722" that which is not corruptible|strong="G0862", even the ornament of a meek|strong="G4239" and|strong="G2532" quiet|strong="G2272" spirit|strong="G4151", which|strong="G3739" is|strong="G2076" in the sight|strong="G1799" of God|strong="G2316" of great price|strong="G4185".
4 but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.
5 For|strong="G1063" after this manner|strong="G3779" in the old time|strong="G4218" the holy|strong="G0040" women|strong="G1135" also|strong="G2532", who trusted|strong="G1679" in|strong="G1909" God|strong="G2316", adorned|strong="G2885" themselves|strong="G1438", being in subjection|strong="G5293" unto their own|strong="G2398" husbands|strong="G0435":
5 For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;
6 Even as|strong="G5613" Sara|strong="G4564" obeyed|strong="G5219" Abraham|strong="G0011", calling|strong="G2564" him|strong="G0846" lord|strong="G2962": whose|strong="G3739" daughters|strong="G5043" ye are|strong="G1096", as long as ye do well|strong="G0015", and|strong="G2532" are|strong="G5399" not|strong="G3361" afraid|strong="G5399" with any|strong="G3367" amazement|strong="G4423".
6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children ye have become, doing good, and not fearing with any kind of consternation.
7 Likewise|strong="G3668", ye husbands|strong="G0435", dwell with|strong="G4924" them according to|strong="G2596" knowledge|strong="G1108", giving|strong="G0632" honour|strong="G5092" unto the wife|strong="G1134", as|strong="G5613" unto the weaker|strong="G0772" vessel|strong="G4632", and|strong="G2532" as|strong="G5613" being heirs together|strong="G4789" of the grace|strong="G5485" of life|strong="G2222"; that|strong="G1519" your|strong="G5216" prayers|strong="G4335" be|strong="G1581" not|strong="G3361" hindered|strong="G1581".
7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
8 Finally|strong="G5056", be ye all|strong="G3956" of one mind|strong="G3675", having compassion one of another|strong="G4835", love as brethren|strong="G5361", be pitiful|strong="G2155", be courteous|strong="G5391":
8 — ausente —
9 Not|strong="G3361" rendering|strong="G0591" evil|strong="G2556" for|strong="G0473" evil|strong="G2556", or|strong="G2228" railing|strong="G3059" for|strong="G0473" railing|strong="G3059": but|strong="G1161" contrariwise|strong="G5121" blessing|strong="G2127"; knowing|strong="G1492" that|strong="G3754" ye are|strong="G2564" thereunto|strong="G1519" called|strong="G2564", that|strong="G2443" ye should inherit|strong="G2816" a blessing|strong="G2129".
9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 For|strong="G1063" he that will|strong="G2309" love|strong="G0025" life|strong="G2222", and|strong="G2532" see|strong="G1492" good|strong="G0018" days|strong="G2250", let him refrain|strong="G3973" his|strong="G0846" tongue|strong="G1100" from|strong="G0575" evil|strong="G2556", and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" lips|strong="G5491" that they speak|strong="G2980" no|strong="G3361" guile|strong="G1388":
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 Let him eschew|strong="G1578" evil|strong="G2556", and|strong="G2532" do|strong="G4160" good|strong="G0018"; let him seek|strong="G2212" peace|strong="G1515", and|strong="G2532" ensue|strong="G1377" it|strong="G0846".
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 For|strong="G3754" the eyes|strong="G3788" of the Lord|strong="G2962" are over|strong="G1909" the righteous|strong="G1342", and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" ears|strong="G3775" are open unto|strong="G1519" their|strong="G0846" prayers|strong="G1162": but|strong="G1161" the face|strong="G4383" of the Lord|strong="G2962" is against|strong="G1909" them that do|strong="G4160" evil|strong="G2556".
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 And|strong="G2532" who|strong="G5101" is he that will harm|strong="G2559" you|strong="G5209", if|strong="G1437" ye be|strong="G1096" followers|strong="G3402" of that which is good|strong="G0018"?
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 But|strong="G0235" and|strong="G2532" if|strong="G1487" ye suffer|strong="G3958" for|strong="G1223" righteousness’ sake|strong="G1343", happy|strong="G3107" are ye: and|strong="G1161" be|strong="G5399" not|strong="G3361" afraid|strong="G5399" of their|strong="G0846" terror|strong="G5401", neither|strong="G3366" be troubled|strong="G5015";
15 But|strong="G1161" sanctify|strong="G0037" the Lord|strong="G2962" God|strong="G2316" in|strong="G1722" your|strong="G5216" hearts|strong="G2588": and|strong="G1161" be ready|strong="G2092" always|strong="G0104" to|strong="G4314" give an answer|strong="G0627" to every man|strong="G3956" that asketh|strong="G0154" you|strong="G5209" a reason|strong="G3056" of|strong="G4012" the hope|strong="G1680" that|strong="G3588" is in|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5213" with|strong="G3326" meekness|strong="G4240" and|strong="G2532" fear|strong="G5401":
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.
16 Having|strong="G2192" a good|strong="G0018" conscience|strong="G4893"; that|strong="G2443", whereas|strong="G1722" they speak evil|strong="G2635" of you|strong="G5216", as|strong="G5613" of evildoers|strong="G2555", they may be ashamed|strong="G2617" that falsely accuse|strong="G1908" your|strong="G5216" good|strong="G0018" conversation|strong="G0391" in|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547".
17 For|strong="G1063" it is better|strong="G2909", if|strong="G1487" the will|strong="G2307" of God|strong="G2316" be so|strong="G2309", that ye suffer|strong="G3958" for well doing|strong="G0015", than|strong="G2228" for evil doing|strong="G2554".
18 For|strong="G3754" Christ|strong="G5547" also|strong="G2532" hath|strong="G3958" once|strong="G0530" suffered|strong="G3958" for|strong="G4012" sins|strong="G0266", the just|strong="G1342" for|strong="G5228" the unjust|strong="G0094", that|strong="G2443" he might bring|strong="G4317" us|strong="G2248" to God|strong="G2316", being put to death|strong="G2289" in the flesh|strong="G4561", but|strong="G1161" quickened|strong="G2227" by the Spirit|strong="G4151":
18 Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.
19 By|strong="G1722" which|strong="G3739" also|strong="G2532" he went|strong="G4198" and preached|strong="G2784" unto the spirits|strong="G4151" in|strong="G1722" prison|strong="G5438";
20 Which sometime|strong="G4218" were disobedient|strong="G0544", when|strong="G3753" once|strong="G0530" the longsuffering|strong="G3115" of God|strong="G2316" waited|strong="G1551" in|strong="G1722" the days|strong="G2250" of Noah|strong="G3575", while the ark|strong="G2787" was a preparing|strong="G2680", wherein|strong="G1519" few|strong="G3641", that|strong="G5124" is|strong="G2076", eight|strong="G3638" souls|strong="G5590" were saved|strong="G1295" by|strong="G1223" water|strong="G5204".
21 The like figure|strong="G0499" whereunto|strong="G3739" even baptism|strong="G0908" doth|strong="G4982" also|strong="G2532" now|strong="G3568" save|strong="G4982" us|strong="G2248" (not|strong="G3756" the putting away|strong="G0595" of the filth|strong="G4509" of the flesh|strong="G4561", but|strong="G0235" the answer|strong="G1906" of a good|strong="G0018" conscience|strong="G4893" toward|strong="G1519" God|strong="G2316",) by|strong="G1223" the resurrection|strong="G0386" of Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547":
21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.
22 Who|strong="G3739" is gone|strong="G4198" into|strong="G1519" heaven|strong="G3772", and is|strong="G2076" on|strong="G1722" the right hand|strong="G1188" of God|strong="G2316"; angels|strong="G0032" and|strong="G2532" authorities|strong="G1849" and|strong="G2532" powers|strong="G1411" being made subject|strong="G5293" unto him|strong="G0846".
