2 That|strong="G1519" he|strong="G0980" no longer|strong="G3371" should live|strong="G0980" the rest|strong="G1954" of|strong="G5550" his time|strong="G5550" in|strong="G1722" the flesh|strong="G4561" to the lusts|strong="G1939" of men|strong="G0444", but|strong="G0235" to the will|strong="G2307" of God|strong="G2316".
3 For|strong="G1063" the time|strong="G5550" past|strong="G3928" of|strong="G0979" our life|strong="G0979" may suffice|strong="G0713" us|strong="G2254" to have wrought|strong="G2716" the will|strong="G2307" of the Gentiles|strong="G1484", when we walked|strong="G4198" in|strong="G1722" lasciviousness|strong="G0766", lusts|strong="G1939", excess of wine|strong="G3632", revellings|strong="G2970", banquetings|strong="G4224", and|strong="G2532" abominable|strong="G0111" idolatries|strong="G1495":
4 Wherein|strong="G1722" they think it strange|strong="G3579" that ye|strong="G5216" run|strong="G4936" not|strong="G3361" with|strong="G1519" them to|strong="G1519" the same|strong="G0846" excess|strong="G0401" of riot|strong="G0810", speaking evil of|strong="G0987" you:
5 Who|strong="G3739" shall give|strong="G0591" account|strong="G3056" to him that is|strong="G2192" ready|strong="G2093" to judge|strong="G2919" the quick|strong="G2198" and|strong="G2532" the dead|strong="G3498".
6 For|strong="G1063" for|strong="G1519" this cause|strong="G5124" was the gospel preached|strong="G2097" also|strong="G2532" to them that are dead|strong="G3498", that|strong="G2443" they might be judged|strong="G2919" according to|strong="G2596" men|strong="G0444" in the flesh|strong="G4561", but|strong="G1161" live|strong="G2198" according to|strong="G2596" God|strong="G2316" in the spirit|strong="G4151".
7 But|strong="G1161" the end|strong="G5056" of all things|strong="G3956" is at hand|strong="G1448": be ye|strong="G4993" therefore|strong="G3767" sober|strong="G4993", and|strong="G2532" watch|strong="G3525" unto|strong="G1519" prayer|strong="G4335".
8 And|strong="G1161" above|strong="G4253" all things|strong="G3956" have|strong="G2192" fervent|strong="G1618" charity|strong="G0026" among|strong="G1519" yourselves|strong="G1438": for|strong="G3754" charity|strong="G0026" shall cover|strong="G2572" the multitude|strong="G4128" of sins|strong="G0266".
9 Use hospitality|strong="G5382" one|strong="G0240" to|strong="G1519" another|strong="G0240" without|strong="G0427" grudging|strong="G1112".
10 As|strong="G2531" every man|strong="G1538" hath received|strong="G2983" the gift|strong="G5486", even so minister|strong="G1247" the same|strong="G0846" one|strong="G1438" to|strong="G1519" another|strong="G1438", as|strong="G5613" good|strong="G2570" stewards|strong="G3623" of the manifold|strong="G4164" grace|strong="G5485" of God|strong="G2316".

13 But|strong="G0235" rejoice|strong="G5463", inasmuch as|strong="G2526" ye are partakers|strong="G2841" of Christ’s|strong="G5547" sufferings|strong="G3804"; that|strong="G2443", when|strong="G1722" his|strong="G0846" glory|strong="G1391" shall be revealed|strong="G0602", ye may be glad|strong="G5463" also|strong="G2532" with exceeding joy|strong="G0021".

16 Yet|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1487" any man suffer as|strong="G5613" a Christian|strong="G5546", let him|strong="G0153" not|strong="G3361" be ashamed|strong="G0153"; but|strong="G1161" let him glorify|strong="G1392" God|strong="G2316" on|strong="G1722" this|strong="G5129" behalf|strong="G3313".
17 For|strong="G3754" the time|strong="G2540" is come that judgment|strong="G2917" must begin|strong="G0756" at|strong="G0575" the house|strong="G3624" of God|strong="G2316": and|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1487" it first|strong="G4412" begin at|strong="G0575" us|strong="G2257", what|strong="G5101" shall the end|strong="G5056" be of them that obey not|strong="G0544" the gospel|strong="G2098" of God|strong="G2316"?
18 And|strong="G2532" if|strong="G1487" the righteous|strong="G1342" scarcely|strong="G3433" be saved|strong="G4982", where|strong="G4226" shall|strong="G5316" the ungodly|strong="G0765" and|strong="G2532" the sinner|strong="G0268" appear|strong="G5316"?
19 Wherefore|strong="G5620" let them that suffer|strong="G3958" according to|strong="G2596" the will|strong="G2307" of God|strong="G2316" commit the keeping|strong="G3908" of their|strong="G1438" souls|strong="G5590" to him in|strong="G1722" well doing|strong="G0016", as|strong="G5613" unto a faithful|strong="G4103" Creator|strong="G2939".
