2 Now the first|strong="H7223" inhabitants|strong="H3427" that dwelt in their possessions|strong="H0272" in their cities|strong="H5892" were, the Israelites|strong="H3478", the priests|strong="H3548", Levites|strong="H3881", and the Nethinims|strong="H5411".
3 And in Jerusalem|strong="H3389" dwelt|strong="H3427" of the children|strong="H1121" of Judah|strong="H3063", and of the children|strong="H1121" of Benjamin|strong="H1144", and of the children|strong="H1121" of Ephraim|strong="H0669", and Manasseh|strong="H4519";
4 Uthai|strong="H5793" the son|strong="H1121" of Ammihud|strong="H5989", the son|strong="H1121" of Omri|strong="H6018", the son|strong="H1121" of Imri|strong="H0566", the son|strong="H1121" of Bani|strong="H1137", of the children|strong="H1121" of Pharez|strong="H6557" the son|strong="H1121" of Judah|strong="H3063".
5 And of the Shilonites|strong="H7888"; Asaiah|strong="H6222" the firstborn|strong="H1060", and his sons|strong="H1121".
6 And of the sons|strong="H1121" of Zerah|strong="H2226"; Jeuel|strong="H3262", and their brethren|strong="H0251", six|strong="H8337" hundred|strong="H3967" and ninety|strong="H8673".
7 And of the sons|strong="H1121" of Benjamin|strong="H1144"; Sallu|strong="H5543" the son|strong="H1121" of Meshullam|strong="H4918", the son|strong="H1121" of Hodaviah|strong="H1938", the son|strong="H1121" of Hasenuah|strong="H5574",

17 And the porters|strong="H7778" were, Shallum|strong="H7967", and Akkub|strong="H6126", and Talmon|strong="H2929", and Ahiman|strong="H0289", and their brethren|strong="H0251": Shallum|strong="H7967" was the chief|strong="H7218";
18 Who hitherto waited in the king’s|strong="H4428" gate|strong="H8179" eastward|strong="H4217": they were porters|strong="H7778" in the companies|strong="H4264" of the children|strong="H1121" of Levi|strong="H3878".
19 And Shallum|strong="H7967" the son|strong="H1121" of Kore|strong="H6981", the son|strong="H1121" of Ebiasaph|strong="H0043", the son|strong="H1121" of Korah|strong="H7141", and his brethren|strong="H0251", of the house|strong="H1004" of his father|strong="H0001", the Korahites|strong="H7145", were over the work|strong="H4399" of the service|strong="H5656", keepers|strong="H8104" of the gates|strong="H5592" of the tabernacle|strong="H0168": and their fathers|strong="H0001", being over the host|strong="H4264" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, were keepers|strong="H8104" of the entry|strong="H3996".
20 And Phinehas|strong="H6372" the son|strong="H1121" of Eleazar|strong="H0499" was the ruler|strong="H5057" over them in time past|strong="H6440", and the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was with him.
21 And Zechariah|strong="H2148" the son|strong="H1121" of Meshelemiah|strong="H4920" was porter|strong="H7778" of the door|strong="H6607" of the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150".
22 All these which were chosen|strong="H1305" to be porters|strong="H7778" in the gates|strong="H5592" were two hundred|strong="H3967" and twelve|strong="H8147". These were reckoned by their genealogy|strong="H3187" in their villages|strong="H2691", whom|strong="H1992" David|strong="H1732" and Samuel|strong="H8050" the seer|strong="H7200" did ordain|strong="H3245" in their set office|strong="H0530".
23 So they and their children|strong="H1121" had the oversight of the gates|strong="H8179" of the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, namely, the house|strong="H1004" of the tabernacle|strong="H0168", by wards|strong="H4931".
24 In four|strong="H0702" quarters|strong="H7307" were the porters|strong="H7778", toward the east|strong="H4217", west|strong="H3220", north|strong="H6828", and south|strong="H5045".
25 And their brethren|strong="H0251", which were in their villages|strong="H2691", were to come|strong="H0935" after seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117" from time|strong="H6256" to time|strong="H6256" with them.
26 For these Levites|strong="H3881", the four|strong="H0702" chief|strong="H1368" porters|strong="H7778", were in their set office|strong="H0530", and were over the chambers|strong="H3957" and treasuries|strong="H0214" of the house|strong="H1004" of God|strong="H0430".
27 And they lodged|strong="H3885" round about|strong="H5439" the house|strong="H1004" of God|strong="H0430", because the charge|strong="H4931" was upon them, and the opening|strong="H4668" thereof every morning|strong="H1242" pertained to them.
28 And certain of them had the charge of|strong="H5921" the ministering|strong="H5656" vessels|strong="H3627", that they should bring them in|strong="H0935" and out|strong="H3318" by tale|strong="H4557".
29 Some of them also were appointed|strong="H4487" to oversee the vessels|strong="H3627", and all the instruments|strong="H3627" of the sanctuary|strong="H6944", and the fine flour|strong="H5560", and the wine|strong="H3196", and the oil|strong="H8081", and the frankincense|strong="H3828", and the spices|strong="H1314".
30 And some of the sons|strong="H1121" of the priests|strong="H3548" made|strong="H7543" the ointment|strong="H4842" of the spices|strong="H1314".
31 And Mattithiah|strong="H4993", one of the Levites|strong="H3881", who was the firstborn|strong="H1060" of Shallum|strong="H7967" the Korahite|strong="H7145", had the set office|strong="H0530" over the things that were made|strong="H4639" in the pans|strong="H2281".
32 And other of their brethren|strong="H0251", of the sons|strong="H1121" of the Kohathites|strong="H6956", were over the shewbread|strong="H3899", to prepare|strong="H3559" it every sabbath|strong="H7676".
33 And these are the singers|strong="H7891", chief|strong="H7218" of the fathers|strong="H0001" of the Levites|strong="H3881", who remaining in the chambers|strong="H3957" were free|strong="H6362": for they were employed in that work|strong="H4399" day|strong="H3119" and night|strong="H3915".
34 These chief|strong="H7218" fathers|strong="H0001" of the Levites|strong="H3881" were chief|strong="H7218" throughout their generations|strong="H8435"; these dwelt|strong="H3427" at Jerusalem|strong="H3389".
35 And in Gibeon|strong="H1391" dwelt|strong="H3427" the father|strong="H0001" of Gibeon|strong="H1391", Jehiel|strong="H3273", whose wife’s|strong="H0802" name|strong="H8034" was Maachah|strong="H4601":
36 And his firstborn|strong="H1060" son|strong="H1121" Abdon|strong="H5658", then Zur|strong="H6698", and Kish|strong="H7027", and Baal|strong="H1168", and Ner|strong="H5369", and Nadab|strong="H5070",
37 And Gedor|strong="H1446", and Ahio|strong="H0283", and Zechariah|strong="H2148", and Mikloth|strong="H4732".
38 And Mikloth|strong="H4732" begat|strong="H3205" Shimeam|strong="H8043". And they also dwelt|strong="H3427" with their brethren|strong="H0251" at Jerusalem|strong="H3389", over against their brethren|strong="H0251".
39 And Ner|strong="H5369" begat|strong="H3205" Kish|strong="H7027"; and Kish|strong="H7027" begat|strong="H3205" Saul|strong="H7586"; and Saul|strong="H7586" begat|strong="H3205" Jonathan|strong="H3083", and Malchi-shua|strong="H4444", and Abinadab|strong="H0041", and Esh-baal|strong="H0792".
40 And the son|strong="H1121" of Jonathan|strong="H3083" was Merib-baal|strong="H4807": and Merib-baal|strong="H4810" begat|strong="H3205" Micah|strong="H4318".
41 And the sons|strong="H1121" of Micah|strong="H4318" were, Pithon|strong="H6377", and Melech|strong="H4429", and Tahrea|strong="H8475", and Ahaz.
42 And Ahaz|strong="H0271" begat|strong="H3205" Jarah|strong="H3294"; and Jarah|strong="H3294" begat|strong="H3205" Alemeth|strong="H5964", and Azmaveth|strong="H5820", and Zimri|strong="H2174"; and Zimri|strong="H2174" begat|strong="H3205" Moza|strong="H4162";
43 And Moza|strong="H4162" begat|strong="H3205" Binea|strong="H1150"; and Rephaiah|strong="H7509" his son|strong="H1121", Eleasah|strong="H0501" his son|strong="H1121", Azel|strong="H0682" his son|strong="H1121".
44 And Azel|strong="H0682" had six|strong="H8337" sons|strong="H1121", whose names|strong="H8034" are these, Azrikam|strong="H5840", Bocheru|strong="H1074", and Ishmael|strong="H3458", and Sheariah|strong="H8187", and Obadiah|strong="H5662", and Hanan|strong="H2605": these were the sons|strong="H1121" of Azel|strong="H0682".
