1 Que os homens nos considerem, pois, como simples operários de Cristo e administradores dos mistérios de Deus.

2 Ora, o que se exige dos administradores é que sejam fiéis.

3 A mim pouco se me dá ser julgado por vós ou por tribunal humano, pois nem eu me julgo a mim mesmo.

4 De nada me acusa a consciência; contudo, nem por isso sou justificado. Meu juiz é o Senhor.

5 Por isso, não julgueis antes do tempo; esperai que venha o Senhor. Ele porá às claras o que se acha escondido nas trevas. Ele manifestará as intenções dos corações. Então cada um receberá de Deus o louvor que merece.

6 Se apliquei tudo isso a mim e a Apolo foi por vossa causa, para que, por meio de nós, aprendais a não ultrapassar o que está escrito e para que vos não ensoberbeçais tomando partido a favor de um e com prejuízo de outrem.
7 For|strong="G1063" who|strong="G5101" maketh|strong="G1252" thee|strong="G4571" to differ|strong="G1252" from another? and|strong="G1161" what|strong="G5101" hast thou|strong="G2192" that|strong="G3739" thou didst|strong="G2983" not|strong="G3756" receive|strong="G2983"? now|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1487" thou didst receive|strong="G2983" it, why|strong="G5101" dost thou glory|strong="G2744", as if|strong="G5613" thou hadst|strong="G2983" not|strong="G3361" received|strong="G2983" it?
7 O que há de superior em ti? Que é que possuis que não tenhas recebido? E, se o recebeste, por que te glorias, como se o não tivesses recebido?
8 Now|strong="G2235" ye are|strong="G2075" full|strong="G2880", now|strong="G2235" ye are rich|strong="G4147", ye have reigned as kings|strong="G0936" without|strong="G5565" us|strong="G2257": and|strong="G2532" I would to God|strong="G3785" ye did reign|strong="G0936", that|strong="G2443" we|strong="G2249" also|strong="G2532" might reign|strong="G4821" with you|strong="G5213".
8 Já estais fartos! Já estais ricos! Sem nós, sois reis! Praza a Deus que reineis, de fato, para que também nós reinemos convosco!
9 For|strong="G1063" I think|strong="G1380" that|strong="G3754" God|strong="G2316" hath set forth|strong="G0584" us|strong="G2248" the apostles|strong="G0652" last|strong="G2078", as it were|strong="G5613" appointed to death|strong="G1935": for|strong="G3754" we are made|strong="G1096" a spectacle|strong="G2302" unto the world|strong="G2889", and|strong="G2532" to angels|strong="G0032", and|strong="G2532" to men|strong="G0444".
9 Porque, ao que parece, Deus nos tem posto a nós, apóstolos, na última classe dos homens, por assim dizer sentenciados à morte, visto que fomos entregues em espetáculo ao mundo, aos anjos e aos homens.

10 Nós, estultos por causa de Cristo; e vós, sábios em Cristo! Nós, fracos; e vós, fortes! Vós, honrados; e nós, desprezados!
11 Even unto|strong="G0891" this present|strong="G0737" hour|strong="G5610" we|strong="G3983" both|strong="G2532" hunger|strong="G3983", and|strong="G2532" thirst|strong="G1372", and|strong="G2532" are naked|strong="G1130", and|strong="G2532" are buffeted|strong="G2852", and|strong="G2532" have no certain dwellingplace|strong="G0790";
11 Até esta hora padecemos fome, sede e nudez. Somos esbofeteados, somos errantes,

12 fatigamo-nos, trabalhando com as nossas próprias mãos. Insultados, abençoamos; perseguidos, suportamos; caluniados, consolamos!
13 Being defamed|strong="G0987", we intreat|strong="G3870": we are made|strong="G1096" as|strong="G5613" the filth|strong="G4027" of the world|strong="G2889", and are the offscouring|strong="G4067" of all things|strong="G3956" unto|strong="G2193" this day|strong="G0737".

14 Não vos escrevo estas coisas para vos envergonhar, mas admoesto-vos como meus filhos muitos amados.

15 Com efeito, ainda que tivésseis dez mil mestres em Cristo, não tendes muitos pais; ora, fui eu que vos gerei em Cristo Jesus pelo Evangelho.
16 Wherefore|strong="G3767" I beseech|strong="G3870" you|strong="G5209", be ye|strong="G1096" followers|strong="G3402" of me|strong="G3450".
16 Por isso, vos conjuro a que sejais meus imitadores.
17 For|strong="G1223" this cause|strong="G5124" have I sent|strong="G3992" unto you|strong="G5213" Timotheus|strong="G5095", who|strong="G3739" is|strong="G2076" my|strong="G3450" beloved|strong="G0027" son|strong="G5043", and|strong="G2532" faithful|strong="G4103" in|strong="G1722" the Lord|strong="G2962", who|strong="G3739" shall bring|strong="G0363" you|strong="G5209" into remembrance|strong="G0363" of my|strong="G3450" ways|strong="G3598" which be|strong="G3588" in|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547", as|strong="G2531" I teach|strong="G1321" every where|strong="G3837" in|strong="G1722" every|strong="G3956" church|strong="G1577".
17 Para isso é que vos enviei Timóteo, meu filho muito amado e fiel no Senhor. Ele vos recordará as minhas normas de conduta, tais como as ensino por toda parte, em todas as igrejas.
18 Now|strong="G1161" some|strong="G5100" are puffed up|strong="G5448", as though|strong="G5613" I|strong="G3450" would|strong="G2064" not|strong="G3361" come|strong="G2064" to|strong="G4314" you|strong="G5209".
18 Alguns, presumindo que eu não mais iria ter convosco, encheram-se de orgulho.
19 But|strong="G1161" I will come|strong="G2064" to|strong="G4314" you|strong="G5209" shortly|strong="G5030", if|strong="G1437" the Lord|strong="G2962" will|strong="G2309", and|strong="G2532" will know|strong="G1097", not|strong="G3756" the speech|strong="G3056" of them which|strong="G3588" are puffed up|strong="G5448", but|strong="G0235" the power|strong="G1411".
19 Mas brevemente irei ter convosco, se Deus quiser, e tomarei conhecimento não do que esses orgulhosos falam, mas do que são capazes.
20 For|strong="G1063" the kingdom|strong="G0932" of God|strong="G2316" is not|strong="G3756" in|strong="G1722" word|strong="G3056", but|strong="G0235" in|strong="G1722" power|strong="G1411".
20 Porque o Reino de Deus não consiste em palavras, mas em atos.
21 What|strong="G5101" will ye|strong="G2309"? shall I come|strong="G2064" unto|strong="G4314" you|strong="G5209" with|strong="G1722" a rod|strong="G4464", or|strong="G2228" in|strong="G1722" love|strong="G0026", and|strong="G5037" in the spirit|strong="G4151" of meekness|strong="G4236"?
21 Que preferis? Que eu vá visitar-vos com a vara, ou com caridade e espírito de mansidão?
