2 Now|strong="G1161" I praise|strong="G1867" you|strong="G5209", brethren|strong="G0080", that|strong="G3754" ye remember|strong="G3415" me|strong="G3450" in all things|strong="G3956", and|strong="G2532" keep|strong="G2722" the ordinances|strong="G3862", as|strong="G2531" I delivered|strong="G3860" them to you|strong="G5213".
3 But|strong="G1161" I would have|strong="G2309" you|strong="G5209" know|strong="G1492", that|strong="G3754" the head|strong="G2776" of every|strong="G3956" man|strong="G0435" is|strong="G2076" Christ|strong="G5547"; and|strong="G1161" the head|strong="G2776" of the woman|strong="G1135" is the man|strong="G0435"; and|strong="G1161" the head|strong="G2776" of Christ|strong="G5547" is God|strong="G2316".
4 Every|strong="G3956" man|strong="G0435" praying|strong="G4336" or|strong="G2228" prophesying|strong="G4395", having|strong="G2192" his head|strong="G2776" covered|strong="G2596", dishonoureth|strong="G2617" his|strong="G0846" head|strong="G2776".
5 But|strong="G1161" every|strong="G3956" woman|strong="G1135" that prayeth|strong="G4336" or|strong="G2228" prophesieth|strong="G4395" with|strong="G2776" her head|strong="G2776" uncovered|strong="G0177" dishonoureth|strong="G2617" her|strong="G1438" head|strong="G2776": for|strong="G1063" that is|strong="G2076" even all|strong="G2532" one|strong="G1520" as if|strong="G3587" she|strong="G0846" were shaven|strong="G3587".
6 For|strong="G1063" if|strong="G1487" the woman|strong="G1135" be|strong="G2619" not|strong="G3756" covered|strong="G2619", let her|strong="G2751" also|strong="G2532" be shorn|strong="G2751": but|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1487" it be a shame|strong="G0150" for a woman|strong="G1135" to be shorn|strong="G2751" or|strong="G2228" shaven|strong="G3587", let her be covered|strong="G2619".
7 For|strong="G1063" a man|strong="G0435" indeed|strong="G3303" ought|strong="G3784" not|strong="G3756" to cover|strong="G2619" his head|strong="G2776", forasmuch as he is|strong="G5225" the image|strong="G1504" and|strong="G2532" glory|strong="G1391" of God|strong="G2316": but|strong="G1161" the woman|strong="G1135" is|strong="G2076" the glory|strong="G1391" of the man|strong="G0435".
8 For|strong="G1063" the man|strong="G0435" is|strong="G2076" not|strong="G3756" of|strong="G1537" the woman|strong="G1135"; but|strong="G0235" the woman|strong="G1135" of|strong="G1537" the man|strong="G0435".
9 Neither|strong="G2532" was|strong="G2936" the man|strong="G0435" created|strong="G2936" for|strong="G1223" the woman|strong="G1135"; but|strong="G0235" the woman|strong="G1135" for|strong="G1223" the man|strong="G0435".
10 For|strong="G1223" this cause|strong="G5124" ought|strong="G3784" the woman|strong="G1135" to have|strong="G2192" power|strong="G1849" on|strong="G1909" her head|strong="G2776" because of|strong="G1223" the angels|strong="G0032".
11 Nevertheless|strong="G4133" neither|strong="G3777" is the man|strong="G0435" without|strong="G5565" the woman|strong="G1135", neither|strong="G3777" the woman|strong="G1135" without|strong="G5565" the man|strong="G0435", in|strong="G1722" the Lord|strong="G2962".
12 For|strong="G1063" as|strong="G5618" the woman|strong="G1135" is of|strong="G1537" the man|strong="G0435", even so|strong="G3779" is the man|strong="G0435" also|strong="G2532" by|strong="G1223" the woman|strong="G1135"; but|strong="G1161" all things|strong="G3956" of|strong="G1537" God|strong="G2316".
13 Judge|strong="G2919" in|strong="G1722" yourselves|strong="G5213": is it|strong="G2076" comely|strong="G4241" that a woman|strong="G1135" pray|strong="G4336" unto God|strong="G2316" uncovered|strong="G0177"?
14 Doth|strong="G2228" not|strong="G3761" even|strong="G3303" nature|strong="G5449" itself|strong="G0846" teach|strong="G1321" you|strong="G5209", that|strong="G3754", if|strong="G1437" a man|strong="G0435" have long hair|strong="G2863", it is|strong="G2076" a shame|strong="G0819" unto him|strong="G0846"?
15 But|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1437" a woman|strong="G1135" have long hair|strong="G2863", it is|strong="G2076" a glory|strong="G1391" to her|strong="G0846": for|strong="G3754" her hair|strong="G2864" is given|strong="G1325" her|strong="G0846" for|strong="G0473" a covering|strong="G4018".
16 But|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1487" any man|strong="G5100" seem|strong="G1380" to be|strong="G1511" contentious|strong="G5380", we|strong="G2249" have|strong="G2192" no|strong="G3756" such|strong="G5108" custom|strong="G4914", neither|strong="G3761" the churches|strong="G1577" of God|strong="G2316".
17 Now|strong="G1161" in this|strong="G5124" that I declare|strong="G3853" unto you I praise|strong="G1867" you not|strong="G3756", that|strong="G3754" ye come together|strong="G4905" not|strong="G3756" for|strong="G1519" the better|strong="G2909", but|strong="G0235" for|strong="G1519" the worse|strong="G2276".
18 For|strong="G1063" first of all|strong="G4412", when|strong="G3303" ye|strong="G5216" come together|strong="G4905" in|strong="G1722" the church|strong="G1577", I hear|strong="G0191" that there be|strong="G5225" divisions|strong="G4978" among|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5213"; and|strong="G2532" I|strong="G4100" partly|strong="G3313" believe|strong="G4100" it|strong="G5100".
19 For|strong="G1063" there|strong="G1511" must|strong="G1163" be|strong="G1511" also|strong="G2532" heresies|strong="G0139" among|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5213", that|strong="G2443" they which|strong="G3588" are approved|strong="G1384" may be made|strong="G1096" manifest|strong="G5318" among|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5213".
20 When|strong="G4905" ye|strong="G5216" come together|strong="G4905" therefore|strong="G3767" into|strong="G1909" one place|strong="G0846", this is|strong="G2076" not|strong="G3756" to eat|strong="G5315" the Lord’s|strong="G2960" supper|strong="G1173".
21 For|strong="G1063" in|strong="G1722" eating|strong="G5315" every one|strong="G1538" taketh before|strong="G4301" other his own|strong="G2398" supper|strong="G1173": and|strong="G2532" one|strong="G3739" is hungry|strong="G3983", and|strong="G1161" another|strong="G3739" is drunken|strong="G3184".
22 What|strong="G1063"? have ye|strong="G2192" not|strong="G3756" houses|strong="G3614" to|strong="G1519" eat|strong="G2068" and|strong="G2532" to drink in|strong="G4095"? or|strong="G2228" despise ye|strong="G2706" the church|strong="G1577" of God|strong="G2316", and|strong="G2532" shame|strong="G2617" them|strong="G3588" that have|strong="G2192" not|strong="G3361"? What|strong="G5101" shall I say|strong="G2036" to you|strong="G5213"? shall I praise|strong="G1867" you|strong="G5209" in|strong="G1722" this|strong="G5129"? I praise|strong="G1867" you not|strong="G3756".

26 For|strong="G1063" as often as|strong="G3740" ye eat|strong="G2068" this|strong="G5126" bread|strong="G0740", and|strong="G2532" drink|strong="G4095" this|strong="G5124" cup|strong="G4221", ye do shew|strong="G2605" the Lord’s|strong="G2962" death|strong="G2288" till|strong="G0891" he come|strong="G2064".
27 Wherefore|strong="G5620" whosoever|strong="G3739" shall eat|strong="G2068" this|strong="G5126" bread|strong="G0740", and|strong="G2228" drink|strong="G4095" this cup|strong="G4221" of the Lord|strong="G2962", unworthily|strong="G0371", shall be|strong="G2071" guilty of|strong="G1777" the body|strong="G4983" and|strong="G2532" blood|strong="G0129" of the Lord|strong="G2962".
28 But|strong="G1161" let|strong="G1381" a man|strong="G0444" examine|strong="G1381" himself|strong="G1438", and|strong="G2532" so|strong="G3779" let him eat|strong="G2068" of|strong="G1537" that bread|strong="G0740", and|strong="G2532" drink|strong="G4095" of|strong="G1537" that cup|strong="G4221".
29 For|strong="G1063" he|strong="G3588" that eateth|strong="G2068" and|strong="G2532" drinketh|strong="G4095" unworthily|strong="G0371", eateth|strong="G2068" and|strong="G2532" drinketh|strong="G4095" damnation|strong="G2917" to himself|strong="G1438", not|strong="G3361" discerning|strong="G1252" the Lord’s|strong="G2962" body|strong="G4983".
30 For|strong="G1223" this cause|strong="G5124" many|strong="G4183" are weak|strong="G0772" and|strong="G2532" sickly|strong="G0732" among|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5213", and|strong="G2532" many|strong="G2425" sleep|strong="G2837".
31 For|strong="G1063" if|strong="G1487" we would judge|strong="G1252" ourselves|strong="G1438", we should|strong="G2919" not|strong="G3756" be judged|strong="G2919".
32 But|strong="G1161" when we are judged|strong="G2919", we are chastened|strong="G3811" of|strong="G5259" the Lord|strong="G2962", that|strong="G2443" we should|strong="G2632" not|strong="G3361" be condemned|strong="G2632" with|strong="G4862" the world|strong="G2889".
33 Wherefore|strong="G5620", my|strong="G3450" brethren|strong="G0080", when ye come together|strong="G4905" to|strong="G1519" eat|strong="G5315", tarry one|strong="G1551" for another|strong="G0240".
34 And|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1487" any man|strong="G5100" hunger|strong="G3983", let him eat|strong="G2068" at|strong="G1722" home|strong="G3624"; that|strong="G2443" ye come|strong="G4905" not|strong="G3361" together|strong="G4905" unto|strong="G1519" condemnation|strong="G2917". And|strong="G1161" the rest|strong="G3062" will I set in order|strong="G1299" when|strong="G5613" I come|strong="G2064".
