AAI TUR GEWASIN O BAIBASIT BOUBUN
1 My brothers, you believe in our Lord, the wonderful Jesus Christ. So you must not think one man is better than another.
1 Taitu kwa i ata Regah Jesu Keriso marakaw ana Regah kwabitumitum. Imih sabuw men ufuhine hai itininamaim kwanabuwih hai merar kwanayimih.
2 A man comes in to your church meeting. He has a gold ring and wears fine clothes. A poor man also comes in. He wears old clothes.
2 Veya ta orot sawar wairafin boro na’abur gewas uman gold ring niyoun nan a kou’ayamaim narun; naatu orot ta yababan wairafin auman boro ana sawar kakafih na’osen nan narun.
3 You look at the man who wears fine clothes. And you say to him, Sit here on this good chair. But you say to the poor man, Stand over there, or you say, Sit on the floor by my feet.
3 Kwa orot e’abur gewas enan boro kwanab ana merar kwanay kwanao, “Aro, efan gewasin iti kumare kuma.” Baise orot yababan wairafin isan boro kwanao, “Aro nati haw kumare kuma o nati’imaim kubat.” Nati na’atube kwanasisinaf na’at
4 If you do these things, you think some people are better than others. You are wrong when you judge people this way.
4 kwa i kouseb wanawanamaim kwaimatar. Orot ta efan gewasin kwaitin, orot ta efan kakafin kwaitin, afufunen nati na’atube i men gewasin.
5 Listen, my dear brothers. God has chosen people who are poor in this world. They believe very much. They will have a place in the kingdom which he has promised to give to those who love him.
5 Imih taitu au yabow, kwananowar gewas, sabuw iyab iti tafaramamaim yababan wairafih God rubinih baitumatum wairafih himatar God ana aiwob boro ninowah hinab, sabuw iyab God hibiyabuw eomatanih bairi.
6 But you made the poor man ashamed. Is it not the rich people who trouble you? Are not they the ones who take you to court?
6 Baise kwa i yababan wairafih kwabi’orot bai’ibih. Sabuw sawar wairafih hibokwarakwarar baibatiyenamaim teyaya’i kwa’itih kwasoso’ob ai en?
7 Are not they the ones who say wrong things about the good name you have?
7 Sabuw nati i kwa Jesu wabin gewasin kwabaib isan tur kakafin hio tibi’ibi kwa’i’itin ai en?
8 The holy writings say, Love your neighbour as you love yourself. If you obey this law of your King you do well.
8 God ana obaiyunen tur ofafar bukamaim iti na’atube hikirum, “Taituwa iniyabow o taiyuw isa kubiyabow na’atube.” Iti ofafar i anababatun turobe’emaim kwanabi’ufunun na’at, nati i ef gewasin kwasisinaf.
9 But if you think one man is better than another, that is wrong. The law says you are a bad person.
9 Baise sabuw ufuhine hai itininamaim ta efan gewasin kwanitin, naatu ta efan kakafin kwanabitin, nati i bowabow kakafin kwasisinaf, imih kwa i ofafar asto’obenayah.
10 Anyone who obeys the law, but then breaks one of the laws, has broken all the laws.
10 Orot yait ofafar etei ebobosiyasiyar, baise wanawanahimaim ofafar ta’imon ea’astu’ub, ofafar etei i ea’asto’oben.
11 God made the law, Do not use sex wrongly. God also made the law, Do not kill.If you do not have wrong sex, but you kill, you have broken the law.
11 Anayabin ofafar eo, “Taituwa aawan ufun men inan.” Naatu eo maiye, “Taituwa men ina’asabun.” Naatu o tura aawan ufun men inamih, baise tura i’asabun momorob o i ofafar etei i’asto’oben.
12 There is a law that makes people free. It is the law of showing kindness. Always talk and live like men who will be judged by that law.
12 Sabuw iyab roufamen ana ofafar ebibatiyih na’atube o auman boro nibatiyi, imih mata toniwa’an abisa kubowabow naatu abisa kuo ina’itin gewas.
13 When God judges, he will not be kind to a person who has not been kind. It is better to be kind than it is to judge people.
13 Anayabin o yait taituw men kukakabibirih baibabatiyen ana veya God boro men nakabibirimih. Kabeberamaim boro God dogoron inabotabir baibatiyen boro inisnowah.
14 My brothers, perhaps a man says, I believe. What good is that if he does not do anything? Can just believing save him?
14 Taitu, orot ta nao, ayu i baitumatumayan, baise men nabi’a’it na’at ana gewasin boro abistan namatar? Baitumatum nati na’atube men karam boro niyawasi.
15 Perhaps a brother or a sister needs clothes and has no food.
15 Ana itinin ta i iti, taituwa aurih ar faifuw en naatu mar etei ana fofonin isan aurih bay en.Taituwa aurin sawar en inibais|src="C069.tif" size="span" loc="Jas 2.15" copy="Illustration used with permission of New Tribes Mission." ref="2.15-16"
16 Perhaps one of you says to them, God bless you. Be warm. Eat all you want. But what good is that if you do not give them what they need for their bodies?
16 Nati ana veya’amaim o bay men initih naatu ar faifuw men initih, baise ina’uwih. “Kwana’abur gewas biya hinafora’ab naatu bay kwanaa ya hinagadid, God nigegewasini kwanama.” Tur nati na’atube inao ana gewasin boro abisa namatar?
17 Believing is like that. If it does not do anything it is no good. Belief by itself is dead.
17 Itininaban nati na’atube, imih baitumatum akisin nabin nabat, aurin bai’a’it en nati baitumatum i murubin.
18 In that case someone may say, You believe. And I do good things. Try to show me that you believe without doing any acts of kindness. I will show you that I believe by doing acts of kindness.
18 Baise orot boro iti na’atube nao. “Orot ta i baitumatumayan, naatu orot ta bai’a’aitayan, hairi’ika i karamam,” baise ayu abibatiy, “Orot baitumatumayan aurin bai’a’ait en kwi’obaiyu aitin, baise ayu karam boro au baitumatum abi’a’it ani’obaiy kwana’itin.”
19 You believe that there is one God. That is right. But even the bad spirits believe that. And they shake with fear.
19 Kwa kwabitumatum God i ta’imon? Gewasin! Demon auman hitumatum hibir ah umah teo’oror.
20 You are foolish! Believing is no good if it does not do anything good. Do you want to know that for sure?
20 Kwabikoko’aw! Ani’obaiyi kwana’itin baitumatum aurin bai’a’it en ana ub i murubin.
21 Look at Abraham. God called our father Abraham a good man. This was because he gave his son Isaac to God on the holy table for a sacrifice.
21 Kwaso’ob aisim ata agir Abraham yamutufuren bai God nanamaim tit? Ana bai’a’itamaim taiyuwin natun Isaac bai gem tafanamaim siboromih yara’ah.
22 You can see he believed. His faith and the things he did worked together. His believing was made all right because he did something.
22 Imih kwana’itin Abraham ana baitumatum naatu ana bai’a’it hairi hai bowabow i ta’imon, imih ana bai’a’itamaim ana baitumatum in yomanin easa’ub.
23 The words of the holy writings came true. They say, Abraham believed God. And he was called a good man because of it. In another place he was called Gods friend.
23 Imih Bukamaim iti na iturobe eo, “Abraham God itumitum naatu ana baitumatumamaim God Abraham bai ana orot mutufurin matar.” Naatu ana begon rouw eaf.
24 You see, a man is a good man because of the things he does, and not just because he believes.
24 Imih kwana’itin baitumatum naatu bai’a’it hairi i tanita’imon ata ef boro namutufor God matanamaim, men baitumatum akisin nabin nabat.
25 Rahab was a bad woman. But in the same way God called her a good woman because of something she did. She took the men into her house and then let them go out another way.
25 Ana’itinin ta kwana’itin. Efamaim baiwa’an kwanekwaneyan babin wabin Rahab Israel sabuw hai rafot rouwayah hinan hai merar yi buwih, naatu ibaisih ef ta’awat iuwih hibihir. Imih ana bowabowamaim yamutufur God matanamaim.
26 A body is dead if it does not breathe. In the same way, believing is dead if it does not do anything good.
26 Biya aurin ayubin en, biya i murubin na’atube baitumatum aurin bai’a’it en baitumatum i murubin.
