1 Jesus called his twelve disciples to him. He gave them power over bad spirits so they could drive them out of people. He gave them power to heal people who were sick or weak in any way.
1 E ele chamando a si os seus doze discípulos, deu-lhes poder contra os espíritos imundos, para os expulsarem, e para curarem toda espécie de doenças e toda espécie de enfermidades.
2 The names of the twelve apostles are: Simon, whose other name was Peter, and his brother Andrew, James and his brother John, the sons of Zebedee, Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the tax collector, James, the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose other name was Thaddaeus, Simon, the freedom fighter, and Judas Iscariot, the one who gave Jesus over to people who hated him.
2 Ora, os nomes dos doze apóstolos são estes: O primeiro, Simão, chamado Pedro, e André, seu irmão; Tiago, filho de Zebedeu, e João, seu irmão;

3 Filipe e Bartolomeu; Tomé e Mateus, o publicano; Tiago, filho de Alfeu, e Lebeu, cujo sobrenome era Tadeu;

5 Jesus sent out these twelve. He said to them, Do not go to the people who are not Jews. Do not go to any town of the Samaritan people.
5 Estes Doze Jesus enviou, dando-lhes ordens, dizendo: Não ireis pelo caminho dos gentios, e não entreis em nenhuma cidade samaritana.
6 But go to the people of Israel. They are like lost sheep.
6 Mas ide antes às ovelhas perdidas da casa de Israel.
7 As you go, tell people that the kingdom of heaven is here.
7 E, enquanto forem, pregai, dizendo: O reino do céu tem-se aproximado.
8 Heal sick people. Bring dead people to life. Heal people who have leprosy. Drive bad spirits out of people You got it free, so give it free to others
8 Curai os enfermos, purificai os leprosos, ressuscitai os mortos, expulsai os demônios; de graça recebestes, de graça dai.
9 Do not take gold, silver, or brass money with you.
9 Não provisioneis ouro, nem prata, nem cobre, nos vossos cintos,
10 Do not take a bag with you, and do not take two shirts, shoes, or a walking stick. The one who does the work should be given his food.
10 nem alforje para sua jornada, nem duas túnicas, nem calçados, nem bordões; porque digno é o trabalhador do seu alimento.
11 When you come to any city or town, ask who there is able to have you. Then live there until you leave the town.
11 E, em qualquer cidade ou aldeia em que entrardes, investigai quem nela é digno, e ali vos hospedeis até prosseguirdes.
12 When you go into the house, greet the family with a blessing.
12 E, quando entrardes em uma casa, saudai-a;
13 If the family is all right, let your blessing stay on it. If it is not all right, take your blessing away.
13 E, se a casa for digna, deixai sobre ela a vossa paz; mas, se não for digna, torne para vós a vossa paz.
14 In some places people will not take you in, or listen to what you say. So when you leave that house or town, shake the dust off your feet.
14 E, todo aquele que não vos receber, nem ouvir as vossas palavras, quando vos partirdes daquela casa ou cidade, sacudi a poeira dos vossos pés.
15 I tell you the truth. On the day when people are judged, the people from that city will be punished harder than the people from the country of Sodom and Gomorrah.
15 Na verdade eu vos digo que, no dia do juízo, haverá mais tolerância para a terra de Sodoma e Gomorra do que para aquela cidade.
16 I am sending you out amongst people. You will be like sheep amongst bad animals like wolves. So be wise like snakes, and harmless like doves.
16 Eis que eu vos envio como ovelhas ao meio de lobos; portanto, sede sensatos como as serpentes e inofensivos como as pombas.
17 But take care. Men will take you to their courts. They will beat you in their meeting houses.
17 Mas cuidado com os homens; porque eles vos entregarão aos concílios, e vos açoitarão nas suas sinagogas;
18 They will bring you to rulers and kings for my sake. Then you will talk about me to them and to those who are not Jews.
18 e sereis levados à presença dos governadores e dos reis, por causa de mim, como testemunho contra eles e os gentios.
19 When men take you to court, do not be troubled about what you will say. What you are to say will come to your mind at the right time.
19 Mas quando vos entregarem, não cuideis de como ou o que haveis de falar, pois naquela hora vos será dado o que haveis de dizer.
20 It is not you who speak. But it is the Spirit of your Father who is speaking through you.
20 Porque não sois vós que falais, mas é o Espírito de vosso Pai que fala em vós.
21 A brother will take his brother to be killed. A father will take his child. The children will talk against their father and mother, and have them killed.
21 E o irmão entregará à morte o irmão, e o pai o filho; e os filhos se levantarão contra os seus pais, e os colocarão para a morte.
22 Everyone will hate you because you are true to me. But the person who keeps on being true to me until the end, will be saved.
22 E sereis odiados de todos os homens por causa do meu nome; mas aquele que perseverar até o fim será salvo.
23 When they trouble you in one town, go to another. I tell you the truth. You will not go to all the towns in Israel before the Son of Man comes.
23 Quando vos perseguirem nesta cidade, fugi para outra; porque em verdade eu vos digo que não tereis percorrido as cidades de Israel sem que venha o Filho do homem.
24 The one who learns is not better than his teacher. And the servant is not better than his master.
24 O discípulo não está acima de seu mestre, nem o servo acima de seu senhor.
25 The one who learns should want to be like his teacher. And the servant should want to be like his master. If they say the master belongs to the devil, they will say it all the more about those who work for him.
25 Basta ao discípulo ser como o seu mestre, e ao servo como seu senhor. Se chamaram Belzebu ao mestre da casa, quanto mais chamarão aos de sua casa?
26 So do not be afraid of people. Everything that is hidden will be seen. Everything that is hidden will be known.
26 Portanto, não os temais; porque nada há encoberto que não venha a ser revelado, nem oculto que não venha a ser conhecido.
27 What I say to you in the dark, tell it in the light. What you hear in secret, shout to others from the tops of the houses.
27 O que eu vos digo às escuras, falai-o à plena luz; e o que ouvirdes no ouvido pregai-o sobre os telhados.
28 Do not fear people who can kill the body. They cannot kill the spirit. But fear the one who can destroy both spirit and body in hell.
28 E não temais os que matam o corpo, mas não podem matar a alma; temei antes aquele que pode destruir tanto a alma como o corpo no inferno.
29 Are not two sparrows worth only a small amount of money? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father knowing about it.
29 Não se vendem dois pardais por um asse? E nenhum deles cairá em terra sem vosso Pai.
30 Even the number of hairs on your head is known.
30 Mas os próprios cabelos da vossa cabeça estão todos contados.
31 So do not fear. You are worth more than many sparrows.
31 Portanto, não temais; mais valeis vós do que muitos pardais.
32 If anyone tells people that he knows me, I will also tell the Father in heaven that I know him.
32 Portanto, qualquer que me confessar diante dos homens, eu também o confessarei diante de meu Pai que está no céu.
33 But anyone who tells people he does not know me, I will also tell my Father in heaven that I do not know him.
33 Mas qualquer que me negar diante dos homens, eu também o negarei diante de meu Pai que está no céu.
34 Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but war.
34 Não penseis que eu vim trazer paz à terra; eu não vim trazer paz, mas espada.
35 I came to take away peace between a man and his father. I came to take away peace between a daughter and her mother. I came to take away peace between a mans wife and his mother.
35 Porque eu vim pôr um homem em desacordo contra seu pai, e a filha contra sua mãe, e a nora contra sua sogra.
36 A man will have people in his own family who make trouble for him.
36 E os inimigos de um homem serão os da sua própria casa.
37 Anyone who loves his father or his mother more than he loves me, is not good enough for me. Anyone who loves his son or his daughter more than he loves me, is not good enough for me.
37 O que ama o pai ou a mãe mais do que a mim não é digno de mim; e o que ama o filho ou a filha mais do que a mim não é digno de mim.
38 Anyone who is not willing to carry his cross and suffer with me, is not good enough for me.
38 E o que não toma a sua cruz e segue após mim, não é digno de mim.
39 Anyone who tries to keep his life, will lose it. Anyone who gives up his life for my sake, will find it.
39 O que encontrar a sua vida, perdê-la-á, e o que perder a sua vida por minha causa, encontra-la-á.
40 Anyone who takes you in, takes me in. And anyone who takes me in, takes in the one who sent me.
40 O que vos recebe, a mim me recebe; e o que me recebe, recebe aquele que me enviou.
41 Anyone who takes in a prophet because he is a prophet of God will get a prophets reward.
41 O que recebe um profeta em nome de um profeta, receberá recompensa de profeta; e quem recebe um homem justo em nome de um homem justo, receberá recompensa de um homem justo.
42 And if any one as a disciple gives a drink of cold water to one of my children, he will not lose his reward. I tell you the truth.
42 E todo o que der de beber ainda que seja um copo de água fria a um destes pequeninos apenas em nome de um discípulo, em verdade eu vos digo que de modo algum perderá a sua recompensa.
