1 Nakabili Yesu abebele mu milumbe ukuti,
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 “Ubufumu bwa mumulu kuti bwapasyanisiwa ku mfumu iyapekanisisye umwana wakwe umwaume amatebeto ya bwinga.
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 Yatumineko abasya bakwe ukuyaeba abalalikwe ukwisa kumatebeto, lelo balikene ukwisa.
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 Elo yatuma abasya nabambi ukuti, ‘Kebeni abalalikwe ukuti, nimpekanya amatebeto nefintu fyonse nafipekanisiwa. Iseni kumatebeto ya bwinga!’
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Lelo tabaposeleko amano bayangilwefye imilimo yabo, umo aya kwibala lyakwe, umbi aile kuntu alebombela amakwebo,
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 elo bambi bakwete abasya, baboma nokubepaya.
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 Imfumu yalifulilwe. Yatumineko abasilika ukuyaipaya abo bantalamisoka nokokya umusumba wabo.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 Elo yaeba abasya ukuti, ‘Ubwinga nabupekanisiwa, lelo abantu abalalikwe balikene ukwisa.
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 Eikyo kabiyeni mumisebo muleyalalika abantu bonse bantu mulesanga kumatebeto.’
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 Abasya baile mumisebo nokuya kolonganika bonse abantu basangilemo, ababi na basuma. Kabili muŋanda mwaiswile abantu.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 Lelo lintu imfumu yaisile mukomona abalalikwe, yasangilemo umo uusyafwele insalu syapa bwinga.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 Yamwipwisye ukuti, “Kibusa, busye wakingila syani muno ukwabula ukufwala insalu syapa bwinga?” Lelo takwete ifyakulanda.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 “Elo imfumu yaebele abasya ukuti, ‘Mukakeni amaboko namolu mumupose panse mumfimfi. Umukaba ukulila nokusumanya ameno.’”
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 “Abalalikwa bengi lelo abasalwa banono.”
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 Abafalise bakolongene balaumfwana fintu bengakofya Yesu.

16 Batumine abasambi babo naba kwa Herodi ukuyalanda ukuti, “Wekafundisya twalisiba ukuti fintu ulanda fyakisinka, ufundisya ikine pabufwayo bwakwa Lesa pabantu, kabili tautiina muntu nangu umo, pantu tawaba nakapatulula.
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 Twebe, busye webo uletipo syani? Busye tufwile ukulipila umusonko kuli Kesalo nangu iyoo?”
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 Lelo apo Yesu alisibe imilangwe yabo iyabubifi abebele ukuti, “Imwe babumbimunda, kinsi mulengesesya.
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 Ndangeni ulupiya lwakulipa umusonko!”
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 elo abepusya ukuti, “Busye iki kinso nesina fyakwa nani?”
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 Bayaswike ukuti, “Fyakwa Kesalo.”
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 Balipapile lintu baumfwile aya masiwi, kabili bamusile nokuya.
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 Bulya bwine busiku, Abasaduki abasumine ukuti takwakabe ukubuka kubafwa baisile ipusya Yesu ukuti,

24 “Wekafundisya, Mose atwebele ukuti umwaume uwaupa ngafwa ukwabula ukufyalapo abana, munina afwile aupa mukamfwilwa pakuti afyalileko munina abana.
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 Nomba kwaliko bamunina kinelubali abaleikala kuno. Uwantansi alyupile, kabili afwile ukwabula ukufyalapo abana eikyo umukasi wakwe asyele namunina.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 Ikintu kimokine kyakitike kuwabubili, nakuwabutatu namukulekelesya kuli bonse kinelubali.
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 Napampela umwanakasi nao afwa.
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 Nomba pakubuka kwabafwa, busye akaba mukasi wakwani apo bonse bamunina kinelubali balimupilepo?”
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 Yesu abaswike ukuti, “Mwaliluba! Pantu tamwaisiba ifyo amalembo yafundisya kabili tamwaisiba namaka yakwa Lesa.
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 Pakubuka kwabafwa, abantu tabakaleupa nangu ukupwa lelo bakaba nga bamalaika mumulu.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 Lelo pamulandu wakubuka kwabafwa, busye tamwabelenga fintu Lesa amyebele ukuti,
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 ‘Ninebo Lesa wakwa Abulahamu, Isaaki na Yakobo.’ Ni Lesa wabamweo te Lesa wabafwa.”
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
33 Ibumba lyalipapile pakumfwa aya mafundisyo.
33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
34 Lintu Abafalise baumfwile ukuti Yesu atalalika Abasaduki, balikolongene pamo.
34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 Umo pali bena uwali ni kafundisya wamafunde aesesye Yesu mulipusyo ukuti,
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 “Wekafundisya, busye kipopensi ikikalamba mu Mafunde?”
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 Yesu amwaswike ukuti, “ ‘Uletemwa Imfumu Lesa obe, nomutima obe onse, nomweo obe onse kabili namano yobe yonse.’
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 Iki ekipope kyantansi kabili ikikalamba.
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 Ikyabubili niki, ‘Uletemwa umubiyo ngafintu waitemwa.’
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 Amafunde yonse naba kasesema bashinta pali ifi fipope fibili.”
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 Ilyo Abafalise bakili nabakolongana Yesu abepwisye ukuti,
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 “Busye mwebo mutontonkanyapo syani pali Mesiya? Busye mulanda ukuti nimwana nani?”
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 Yesu abepwisye ukuti, “Busye nikinsi Davidi, uwaletungululwa no Mupasi amwitile ukuti ‘Imfumu’? Pantu Davidi alandile ukuti,
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 ‘Imfumu yalandile ku Mfumu yandi ukuti,
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 Davidi ngamwitile ukuti ‘Imfumu,’ Busye kuti aba syani umwana wakwa Davidi?”
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 Tapaali uwamwaswike, kabili ukutula pali bulya busiku, tapali uwaipwisyepo Yesu amepusyo nayambi.
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
