1 Ye are the sons of LORD your God. Ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
1 Filhos sois do SENHOR vosso Deus; não vos dareis golpes, nem fareis calva entre vossos olhos por causa de algum morto.
2 For thou are a holy people to LORD thy God, and LORD has chosen thee to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples that are upon the face of the earth.
2 Porque és povo santo ao Senhor teu Deus; e o Senhor te escolheu, de todos os povos que há sobre a face da terra, para lhe seres o seu próprio povo.
3 Thou shall not eat any abominable thing.
3 Nenhuma coisa abominável comereis.
4 These are the beasts which ye may eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,
4 Estes são os animais que comereis: o boi, a ovelha, e a cabra.
5 the hart, and the gazelle, and the roebuck, and the wild goat, and the ibex, and the antelope, and the chamois.
5 O veado e a corça, e o búfalo, e a cabra montês, e o texugo, e a camurça, e o gamo.
6 And every beast that parts the hoof, and has the hoof cloven in two, [and] chews the cud, among the beasts, that may ye eat.
6 Todo o animal que tem unhas fendidas, divididas em duas, que rumina, entre os animais, aquilo comereis.
7 Nevertheless of those that chew the cud, or of those that have the hoof cloven, these ye shall not eat: the camel, and the hare, and the coney, because they chew the cud but do not part the hoof, they are unclean to you,
7 Porém estes não comereis, dos que somente ruminam, ou que têm a unha fendida: o camelo, e a lebre, e o coelho, porque ruminam mas não têm a unha fendida; imundos vos serão.
8 and the swine, because he parts the hoof but does not chew the cud, he is unclean to you. Of their flesh ye shall not eat, and their carcasses ye shall not touch.
8 Nem o porco, porque tem unha fendida, mas não rumina; imundo vos será; não comereis da carne destes, e não tocareis nos seus cadáveres.
9 These ye may eat of all that are in the waters: whatever has fins and scales ye may eat.
9 Isto comereis de tudo o que há nas águas; tudo o que tem barbatanas e escamas comereis.
10 And whatever does not have fins and scales ye shall not eat; it is unclean to you.
10 Mas tudo o que não tiver barbatanas nem escamas não o comereis; imundo vos será.
11 Of all clean birds ye may eat,
11 Toda a ave limpa comereis.
12 but these are those of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the osprey,
12 Porém estas são as que não comereis: a águia, e o quebrantosso, e o xofrango,
13 and the glede, and the falcon, and the kite according to its kind,
13 E o abutre, e o falcão, e o milhafre, segundo a sua espécie.
14 and every raven after its kind,
14 E todo o corvo, segundo a sua espécie.
15 and the ostrich, and the night-hawk, and the sea-gull, and the hawk according to its kind,
15 E o avestruz, e o mocho, e a gaivota, e o gavião, segundo a sua espécie.
16 the little owl, and the great owl, and the horned owl,
16 E o bufo, e a coruja, e a gralha,
17 and the pelican, and the vulture, and the cormorant,
17 E o cisne, e o pelicano, e o corvo marinho,
18 and the stork, and the heron according to its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.
18 E a cegonha, e a garça, segundo a sua espécie, e a poupa, e o morcego.
19 And all winged creeping things are unclean to you. They shall not be eaten.
19 Também todo o inseto que voa, vos será imundo; não se comerá.
20 Of all clean birds ye may eat.
20 Toda a ave limpa comereis.
21 Ye shall not eat of anything that dies of itself. Thou may give it to the sojourner who is within thy gates, that he may eat it, or thou may sell it to a foreigner, for thou are a holy people to LORD thy God. Thou shall not boil a
21 Não comereis nenhum animal morto; ao estrangeiro, que está dentro das tuas portas, o darás a comer, ou o venderás ao estranho, porquanto és povo santo ao Senhor teu Deus. Não cozerás o cabrito com leite da sua mãe.
22 Thou shall surely tithe all the increase of thy seed; that which comes forth from the field year by year.
22 Certamente darás os dízimos de todo o fruto da tua semente, que cada ano se recolher do campo.
23 And thou shall eat before LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to cause his name to dwell there, the tithe of thy grain, of thy new wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herd and of thy flock, that thou may
23 E, perante o Senhor teu Deus, no lugar que escolher para ali fazer habitar o seu nome, comerás os dízimos do teu grão, do teu mosto e do teu azeite, e os primogênitos das tuas vacas e das tuas ovelhas; para que aprendas a temer ao Senhor teu Deus todos os dias.
24 And if the way is too long for thee, so that thou are not able to carry it, because the place is too far from thee, which LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there when LORD thy God shall bless thee,
24 E quando o caminho te for tão comprido que os não possas levar, por estar longe de ti o lugar que escolher o Senhor teu Deus para ali pôr o seu nome, quando o Senhor teu Deus te tiver abençoado;
25 then thou shall turn it into money, and bind up the money in thy hand, and shall go to the place which LORD thy God shall choose.
25 Então vende-os, e ata o dinheiro na tua mão, e vai ao lugar que escolher o Senhor teu Deus;
26 And thou shall bestow the money for whatever thy soul desires, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever thy soul asks of thee. And thou shall eat there before LORD thy God, and thou shall rejoice, t
26 E aquele dinheiro darás por tudo o que deseja a tua alma, por vacas, e por ovelhas, e por vinho, e por bebida forte, e por tudo o que te pedir a tua alma; come-o ali perante o Senhor teu Deus, e alegra-te, tu e a tua casa;
27 And the Levite who is within thy gates, thou shall not forsake him, for he has no portion nor inheritance with thee.
27 Porém não desampararás o levita que está dentro das tuas portas; pois não tem parte nem herança contigo.
28 At the end of every three years thou shall bring forth all the tithe of thine increase in the same year, and shall lay it up within thy gates.
28 Ao fim de três anos tirarás todos os dízimos da tua colheita no mesmo ano, e os recolherás dentro das tuas portas;
29 And the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with thee, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied, that LORD thy God may bless thee in al
29 Então virá o levita (pois nem parte nem herança tem contigo), e o estrangeiro, e o órfão, e a viúva, que estão dentro das tuas portas, e comerão, e fartar-se-ão; para que o Senhor teu Deus te abençoe em toda a obra que as tuas mãos fizerem.
