1 And Moses spoke to the heads of the tribes of the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which Jehovah has commanded:
1 Moisés mandou chamar os chefes das tribos de Israel e lhes disse: “Foi isto que o S enhor ordenou:
2 If a man vows a vow unto Jehovah, or swears an oath to bind his soul to a bond, he shall not break his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.
2 Se um homem fizer um voto ao S enhor ou uma promessa sob juramento, jamais deverá voltar atrás em sua palavra. Fará exatamente o que prometeu.
3 If a woman vows a vow unto Jehovah, and has bound her soul to a bond while in her fathers house in her youth,
3 “Se uma moça fizer um voto ao S enhor ou uma promessa sob juramento enquanto ainda estiver morando na casa de seu pai,
4 and her father has heard her vow and the bond by which she has bound her soul, and her father has remained silent, then all her vows shall stand, and every bond to which she has bound her soul shall stand.
4 e se seu pai ficar sabendo do voto e não levantar objeções, todos os seus votos e promessas continuarão a valer.
5 But if her father has disallowed her on the day that he hears, then none of her vows nor her bonds by which she has bound her soul shall stand; and Jehovah will forgive her, because her father has disallowed her.
5 Mas, se no dia em que ficar sabendo seu pai se recusar a deixá-la cumprir o voto ou a promessa, todos os seus votos ou promessas serão anulados. O S enhor a perdoará, pois o pai não permitiu que ela os cumprisse.
6 And if she belongs to a husband, when she has bound her soul with a vow or rash utterance of her lips,
6 “Se uma moça fizer um voto ou assumir um compromisso por meio de uma promessa precipitada e depois se casar,
7 and her husband has heard, and has kept silent to her on the day that he hears, then her vows have been confirmed, and her bonds by which she bound her soul shall stand.
7 e, no dia em que ficar sabendo do voto ou da promessa, o marido não levantar objeções, os votos e as promessas que ela fez continuarão a valer.
8 But if her husband disallows her on the day that he hears it, he has made void her vow which she uttered with her lips, with which she bound her soul; and Jehovah will forgive her.
8 Mas, se no dia em que ficar sabendo seu marido se recusar a deixá-la cumprir o voto ou a promessa precipitada, os compromissos dela serão anulados, e o S enhor a perdoará.
9 But any vow of a widow or a divorced woman, by which she has bound her soul, shall be confirmed against her.
9 A mulher viúva ou divorciada, porém, deverá cumprir todos os seus votos e promessas.
10 If she has vowed in her husbands house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath,
10 “Se uma mulher já for casada e morar na casa do marido quando fizer o voto ou se comprometer por meio de uma promessa,
11 and her husband has heard it, and kept silent to her and has not disallowed her, then all her vows shall stand, and every bond by which she has bound her soul has been confirmed.
11 e o marido ficar sabendo e não levantar objeções, os votos ou as promessas que ela fez continuarão a valer.
12 But if her husband disallows, to void them on the day he hears them, then whatever proceeded from her lips concerning her vows or concerning the bond of her soul shall not stand; her husband has made them void; and Jehovah will forgive her.
12 Mas, se no dia em que ficar sabendo o marido se recusar a aceitá-los, o voto ou a promessa dela será anulada, e o S enhor a perdoará.
13 Every vow and every binding oath to humble her soul, her husband may confirm it, or her husband may make it void.
13 Portanto, qualquer voto ou promessa que a esposa tenha feito de humilhar-se, o marido poderá confirmar ou anular.
14 But if her husband is silent and says nothing to her from day to day, then he has confirmed all her vows or all the bonds that are upon her; he has confirmed them, because he has remained silent to her on the day that he heard them.
14 Mas, se ele não levantar objeção alguma no dia em que ficar sabendo, indicará desse modo que está de acordo com todos os seus votos ou promessas.
15 And if he does disallow, to make them void after he has heard them, then he has taken on her guilt.
15 Se ele esperar mais de um dia e anular um voto ou uma promessa, sofrerá o castigo que caberia à esposa”.
16 These are the statutes which Jehovah has commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, and between a father and his daughter in her youth in her fathers house.
16 Essas são as ordens que o S enhor deu a Moisés a respeito do relacionamento entre um homem e sua esposa e entre um pai e sua filha moça que ainda mora na casa dele.
