1 And Moses spoke to the heads of the tribes of the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which Jehovah has commanded:
1 Falou Moisés aos cabeças das tribos dos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Esta é a palavra que o Senhor ordenou:
2 If a man vows a vow unto Jehovah, or swears an oath to bind his soul to a bond, he shall not break his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.
2 Quando um homem fizer voto ao Senhor ou juramento para obrigar-se a alguma abstinência, não violará a sua palavra; segundo tudo o que prometeu, fará.
3 If a woman vows a vow unto Jehovah, and has bound her soul to a bond while in her fathers house in her youth,
3 Quando, porém, uma mulher fizer voto ao Senhor ou se obrigar a alguma abstinência, estando em casa de seu pai, na sua mocidade,
4 and her father has heard her vow and the bond by which she has bound her soul, and her father has remained silent, then all her vows shall stand, and every bond to which she has bound her soul shall stand.
4 e seu pai, sabendo do voto e da abstinência a que ela se obrigou, calar-se para com ela, todos os seus votos serão válidos; terá de observar toda a abstinência a que se obrigou.
5 But if her father has disallowed her on the day that he hears, then none of her vows nor her bonds by which she has bound her soul shall stand; and Jehovah will forgive her, because her father has disallowed her.
5 Mas, se o pai, no dia em que tal souber, o desaprovar, não será válido nenhum dos votos dela, nem lhe será preciso observar a abstinência a que se obrigou; o Senhor lhe perdoará, porque o pai dela a isso se opôs.
6 And if she belongs to a husband, when she has bound her soul with a vow or rash utterance of her lips,
6 Porém, se ela se casar, ainda sob seus votos ou dito irrefletido dos seus lábios, com que a si mesma se obrigou,
7 and her husband has heard, and has kept silent to her on the day that he hears, then her vows have been confirmed, and her bonds by which she bound her soul shall stand.
7 e seu marido, ouvindo-o, calar-se para com ela no dia em que o ouvir, serão válidos os votos dela, e lhe será preciso observar a abstinência a que se obrigou.
8 But if her husband disallows her on the day that he hears it, he has made void her vow which she uttered with her lips, with which she bound her soul; and Jehovah will forgive her.
8 Mas, se seu marido o desaprovar no dia em que o ouvir e anular o voto que estava sobre ela, como também o dito irrefletido dos seus lábios, com que a si mesma se obrigou, o Senhor lho perdoará.
9 But any vow of a widow or a divorced woman, by which she has bound her soul, shall be confirmed against her.
9 No tocante ao voto da viúva ou da divorciada, tudo com que se obrigar lhe será válido.
10 If she has vowed in her husbands house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath,
10 Porém, se fez voto na casa de seu marido ou com juramento se obrigou a alguma abstinência,
11 and her husband has heard it, and kept silent to her and has not disallowed her, then all her vows shall stand, and every bond by which she has bound her soul has been confirmed.
11 e seu marido o soube, e se calou para com ela, e lho não desaprovou, todos os votos dela serão válidos; e lhe será preciso observar toda a abstinência a que a si mesma se obrigou.
12 But if her husband disallows, to void them on the day he hears them, then whatever proceeded from her lips concerning her vows or concerning the bond of her soul shall not stand; her husband has made them void; and Jehovah will forgive her.
12 Porém, se seu marido lhos anulou no dia em que o soube, tudo quanto saiu dos lábios dela, quer dos seus votos, quer da abstinência a que a si mesma se obrigou, não será válido; seu marido lhos anulou, e o Senhor perdoará a ela.
13 Every vow and every binding oath to humble her soul, her husband may confirm it, or her husband may make it void.
13 Todo voto e todo juramento com que ela se obrigou, para afligir a sua alma, seu marido pode confirmar ou anular.
14 But if her husband is silent and says nothing to her from day to day, then he has confirmed all her vows or all the bonds that are upon her; he has confirmed them, because he has remained silent to her on the day that he heard them.
14 Porém, se seu marido, dia após dia, se calar para com ela, então, confirma todos os votos dela e tudo aquilo a que ela se obrigou, porquanto se calou para com ela no dia em que o soube.
15 And if he does disallow, to make them void after he has heard them, then he has taken on her guilt.
15 Porém, se lhos anular depois de os ter ouvido, responderá pela obrigação dela.
16 These are the statutes which Jehovah has commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, and between a father and his daughter in her youth in her fathers house.
16 São estes os estatutos que o Senhor ordenou a Moisés, entre o marido e sua mulher, entre o pai e sua filha moça se ela estiver em casa de seu pai.
