1 And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tent of meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying:

2 Take a head count of all the congregation of the sons of Israel, by their families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of names, every male by head,

3 from twenty years old and above; all who are able to go to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall number them by their armies.

4 And with you there shall be a man from every tribe, each one the head of his fathers house.

5 These are the names of the men who shall stand with you: from Reuben, Elizur the son of Shedeur;

6 from Simeon, Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai;

8 from Issachar, Nethanel the son of Zuar;

9 from Zebulun, Eliab the son of Helon;

10 from the sons of Joseph: from Ephraim, Elishama the son of Ammihud; from Manasseh, Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur;

11 from Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gideoni;

12 from Dan, Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai;
12 da tribo de Dã, Aieser, filho de Amisadai;
13 from Asher, Pagiel the son of Ocran;

14 from Gad, Eliasaph the son of Deuel;
14 da tribo de Gade, Eliasafe, filho de Deuel;
15 from Naphtali, Ahira the son of Enan.

16 These were chosen from the congregation, leaders of their fathers tribes, heads of thousands in Israel.
16 Esses são os representantes escolhidos da comunidade, líderes das tribos de seus antepassados, chefes dos clãs de Israel”.
17 And Moses and Aaron took these men who had been designated by name,
17 Assim, Moisés e Arão convocaram os líderes nomeados
18 and they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they declared their lineage by families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, each one by head.
18 e, naquele mesmo dia, reuniram toda a comunidade. Todos foram registrados conforme sua linhagem, de acordo com seus clãs e famílias. Os homens de 20 anos para cima foram registrados um a um,
19 As Jehovah commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.
19 como o S enhor tinha ordenado a Moisés. Desse modo, Moisés registrou seus nomes enquanto estavam no deserto do Sinai, na seguinte ordem:
20 And the sons of Reuben, Israels firstborn, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers house, according to the number of names, every male by head, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
20 Da tribo de Rúben, o filho mais velho de Jacó, os homens de 20 anos para cima, aptos para irem à guerra, conforme os nomes anotados nos registros de seus clãs e famílias,
21 those who were numbered of the tribe of Reuben were forty-six thousand five hundred.
21 totalizaram 46.500. Esse é o número da tribo de Rúben.
22 From the sons of Simeon, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers house, of those who were numbered, according to the number of names, every male by head, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
22 Da tribo de Simeão, os homens de 20 anos para cima, aptos para irem à guerra, conforme os nomes anotados nos registros de seus clãs e famílias,
23 those who were numbered of the tribe of Simeon were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
23 totalizaram 59.300. Esse é o número da tribo de Simeão.
24 From the sons of Gad, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
24 Da tribo de Gade, os homens de 20 anos para cima, aptos para irem à guerra, conforme os nomes anotados nos registros de seus clãs e famílias,
25 those who were numbered of the tribe of Gad were forty-five thousand six hundred and fifty.
25 totalizaram 45.650. Esse é o número da tribo de Gade.
26 From the sons of Judah, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
26 Da tribo de Judá, os homens de 20 anos para cima, aptos para irem à guerra, conforme os nomes anotados nos registros de seus clãs e famílias,
27 those who were numbered of the tribe of Judah were seventy-four thousand six hundred.
27 totalizaram 74.600. Esse é o número da tribo de Judá.
28 From the sons of Issachar, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
28 Da tribo de Issacar, os homens de 20 anos para cima, aptos para irem à guerra, conforme os nomes anotados nos registros de seus clãs e famílias,
29 those who were numbered of the tribe of Issachar were fifty-four thousand four hundred.
29 totalizaram 54.400. Esse é o número da tribo de Issacar.
30 From the sons of Zebulun, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
30 Da tribo de Zebulom, os homens de 20 anos para cima, aptos para irem à guerra, conforme os nomes anotados nos registros de seus clãs e famílias,
31 those who were numbered of the tribe of Zebulun were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.
31 totalizaram 57.400. Esse é o número da tribo de Zebulom.
32 From the sons of Joseph, the sons of Ephraim, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
32 Da tribo de Efraim, filho de José, os homens de 20 anos para cima, aptos para irem à guerra, conforme os nomes anotados nos registros de seus clãs e famílias,
33 those who were numbered of the tribe of Ephraim were forty thousand five hundred.
33 totalizaram 40.500. Esse é o número da tribo de Efraim.
34 From the sons of Manasseh, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
34 Da tribo de Manassés, filho de José, os homens de 20 anos para cima, aptos para irem à guerra, conforme os nomes anotados nos registros de seus clãs e famílias,
35 those who were numbered of the tribe of Manasseh were thirty-two thousand two hundred.
35 totalizaram 32.200. Esse é o número da tribo de Manassés.
36 From the sons of Benjamin, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
36 Da tribo de Benjamim, os homens de 20 anos para cima, aptos para irem à guerra, conforme os nomes anotados nos registros de seus clãs e famílias,
37 those who were numbered of the tribe of Benjamin were thirty-five thousand four hundred.
37 totalizaram 35.400. Esse é o número da tribo de Benjamim.
38 From the sons of Dan, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
38 Da tribo de Dã, os homens de 20 anos para cima, aptos para irem à guerra, conforme os nomes anotados nos registros de seus clãs e famílias,
39 those who were numbered of the tribe of Dan were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
39 totalizaram 62.700. Esse é o número da tribo de Dã.
40 From the sons of Asher, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
40 Da tribo de Aser, os homens de 20 anos para cima, aptos para irem à guerra, conforme os nomes anotados nos registros de seus clãs e famílias,
41 those who were numbered of the tribe of Asher were forty-one thousand five hundred.
41 totalizaram 41.500. Esse é o número da tribo de Aser.
42 From the sons of Naphtali, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:
42 Da tribo de Naftali, os homens de 20 anos para cima, aptos para irem à guerra, conforme os nomes anotados nos registros de seus clãs e famílias,
43 those who were numbered of the tribe of Naphtali were fifty-three thousand four hundred.
43 totalizaram 53.400. Esse é o número da tribo de Naftali.
44 These are the ones who were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, with the leaders of Israel, twelve men, each one representing his fathers house.
44 Moisés, Arão e os doze líderes de Israel registraram esses homens, todos incluídos na lista de acordo com suas famílias.
45 So all who were numbered of the sons of Israel, by their fathers houses, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war in Israel;

46 all who were numbered were six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty.
46 No total, 603.550 homens.
47 But the Levites were not numbered among them by their fathers tribe;

48 for Jehovah had spoken to Moses, saying:

49 Only the tribe of Levi you shall not number, nor take a head count of them among the sons of Israel;

50 but you shall appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the Testimony, over all its furnishings, and over all things that belong to it; they shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; they shall serve for it and camp around the tabernacle.
50 Encarregue os levitas de cuidarem do tabernáculo da aliança e de toda a sua mobília e todos os seus utensílios. Eles transportarão o tabernáculo e todos os seus utensílios, cuidarão dele e acamparão ao seu redor.
51 And when the tabernacle sets out, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.
51 Sempre que o tabernáculo tiver de ser transportado, os levitas o desmontarão. Na hora de acampar, eles o armarão novamente. Qualquer pessoa não autorizada que se aproximar do tabernáculo será executada.
52 The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, everyone by his own camp, everyone by his own standard, according to their armies;
52 Os israelitas acamparão de acordo com suas divisões numa área designada por sua bandeira.
53 but the Levites shall camp around the tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel; and the Levites shall keep charge of the tabernacle of the Testimony.
53 Os levitas, por sua vez, acamparão ao redor do tabernáculo da aliança para proteger a comunidade de Israel da ira do S enhor . É responsabilidade dos levitas montar guarda ao redor do tabernáculo da aliança”.
54 Thus the children of Israel did; according to all that Jehovah commanded Moses, thus they did.
