1 The Word of Jehovah that came to Micah of Moresheth in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem:
1 Oráculos do Senhor dirigidos a Miquéias de Moreset, no tempo de Joatã, de Acaz e de Ezequias, reis de Judá.
2 Hear, all you people. Take heed, O earth, and all the fullness of it. And let the Lord Jehovah be a witness against you, the Lord from His holy temple.
2 Povos, ouvi todos! Terra, e tudo o que conténs, está atenta! O Senhor Javé vai testemunhar contra vós, o Senhor, do alto de sua santa morada.
3 For behold, Jehovah is coming out of His place, and He will come down and tread upon the high places of the earth.
3 O Senhor vai sair de sua morada, vai descer e pisar os mais altos cumes da terra.
4 And the mountains shall melt under Him, and the valleys shall burst open, as wax before the fire, as waters poured out on a steep place.
4 Sob seus pés fundir-se-ão os montes, os vales se dissolverão como a cera perto do fogo, como a água que rola pela encosta.
5 All this is against the transgression of Jacob, and against the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? Is it not Samaria. And what are the high places of Judah? Are they not Jerusalem.
5 Tudo isso por causa da infidelidade de Jacó, por causa dos pecados da casa de Israel. Qual é a infidelidade de Jacó? Não é a Samaria? Quais os lugares altos de Judá? Não é Jerusalém?
6 Therefore I will make Samaria into a ruinous heap of the field, places for planting a vineyard. And I will pour down her stones into the valley, and I will uncover her foundations.
6 Farei de Samaria um montão de pedras no campo, um terreno onde plantarão vinhas. Farei rolar as suas pedras no fundo do vale, e porei a descoberto seus alicerces.
7 And all her carved images shall be beaten to pieces, and all her wages of harlotry shall be burned with fire. And I will make all her idols a desolation. For she gathered it from the wages of a harlot, and they shall return to the wages of a harlot.
7 Todos os seus ídolos serão quebrados, todos os seus ganhos de prostituição serão queimados no fogo; destruirei todos os seus ídolos, porque foram pagos com salário de prostituição, e em salário de prostituição serão convertidos.
8 Therefore I will wail and howl; I will go stripped and naked; I will make a wailing like the jackals, and mourning like the daughters of the owl.
8 Por isso prantearei, gritarei, andarei descalço e nu, soltarei gemidos como o chacal, e lamentações como o avestruz.
9 For her wounds are incurable; for it has come to Judah; it has reached to the gate of my people, to Jerusalem.
9 Porque o golpe em Samaria é incurável, e atinge também Judá; feriu até a porta de meu povo, até Jerusalém.
10 Do not declare it in Gath; do not weep and wail. In Beth Aphrah roll and wallow in dust.
10 Não o anuncieis em Get, não choreis em Aco! Revolve-te no pó em Bet-Leafra;
11 Pass over, you inhabitant of Shaphir, having your shame naked. The inhabitant of Zaanan has not gone out; Beth Ezel mourns; its standing place is taken from you.
11 passa numa vergonhosa nudez, habitante de Safir. Os habitantes de Saanã não saem mais, o luto de Bet-Esel tira-vos o seu refúgio.
12 For the inhabitant of Maroth waited anxiously for good, but evil came down from Jehovah to the gate of Jerusalem.
12 O habitante de Marot treme por seus bens, porque a desgraça mandada pelo Senhor chegou às portas de Jerusalém.
13 O inhabitant of Lachish, harness the chariot to the swift steeds; she is the beginning of sin to the daughter of Zion, for the transgressions of Israel were found in you.
13 Atrela o cavalo ao carro, habitante de Láquis! Foste a causa dos pecados da filha de Sião, pois em ti se acharam as maldades de Israel.
14 Therefore you shall give parting gifts to Moresheth Gath. The houses of Achzib shall be a lie to the kings of Israel.
14 Por isso será preciso renunciar a Moreset de Get; as casas de Aczib decepcionarão os reis de Israel.
15 Yet I will bring an heir to you, O inhabitant of Mareshah. The glory of Israel shall come unto Adullam.
15 Habitante de Maresa, eu te mandarei um novo senhor, o escol de Israel irá até Adulã.
16 Make yourself bald, and cut off your hair for your dainty children. Enlarge your baldness like the eagle, for they have gone from you into exile.
16 Corta os teus cabelos; rapa {a tua cabeça} por causa de teus filhos queridos; torna-te calva, como o abutre, porque foram levados cativos para longe de ti.
