1 So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.
1 Deus abençoou Noé e os seus filhos, dizendo o seguinte: — Tenham muitos filhos, e que os seus descendentes se espalhem por toda a terra.
2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every living thing of the earth, upon every flying creature of the heavens, upon everything that moves on the earth, and upon all the fish of the sea. They have been entrusted into your hand.
2 Todos os animais selvagens, todas as aves, todos os animais que se arrastam pelo chão e todos os peixes terão medo e pavor de vocês. Todos eles serão dominados por vocês.
3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have designated all things for you, even as the green plants.
3 Vocês podem comer os animais e também as verduras; eu os dou para vocês como alimento.
4 But you shall not eat flesh with its soul, that is, its blood.
4 Mas uma coisa que vocês não devem comer é carne com sangue, pois no sangue está a vida.
5 Surely the blood of your souls will I require; at the hand of every living thing will I require it, and at the hand of man. At the hand of every mans brother I will require the soul of man.
5 Eu acertarei as contas com cada ser humano e com cada animal que matar alguém.
6 Whoever sheds mans blood, by man his blood shall be shed; for in the image of God He made man.
6 O ser humano foi criado parecido com Deus, e por isso quem matar uma pessoa será morto por outra.
7 And as for you, be fruitful and multiply; swarm in the earth and multiply in it.
7 — Tenham muitos filhos, e que os descendentes de vocês se espalhem por toda a terra.
8 And God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying:
8 Deus também disse a Noé e aos seus filhos:
9 And as for Me, behold, I establish My covenant with you and with your seed after you,
9 — Agora vou fazer a minha aliança com vocês, e com os seus descendentes,
10 and with every living creature that is with you: the flying creatures, the animals, and every living thing of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ark, every living thing of the earth.
10 e com todos os animais que saíram da barca e que estão com vocês, isto é, as aves, os animais domésticos e os animais selvagens, sim, todos os animais do mundo.
11 Thus I have established My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.
11 Eu faço a seguinte aliança com vocês: prometo que nunca mais os seres vivos serão destruídos por um dilúvio. E nunca mais haverá outro dilúvio para destruir a terra.
12 And God said, This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
12 Como sinal desta aliança que estou fazendo para sempre com vocês e com todos os animais,
13 I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.
13 vou colocar o meu arco nas nuvens. O arco-íris será o sinal da aliança que estou fazendo com o mundo.
14 It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud;
14 Quando eu cobrir de nuvens o céu e aparecer o arco-íris,
15 and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.
15 então eu lembrarei da aliança que fiz com vocês e com todos os animais. E assim não haverá outro dilúvio para destruir todos os seres vivos.
16 The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look upon it to remember the perpetual covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
16 Quando o arco-íris aparecer nas nuvens, eu o verei e lembrarei da aliança que fiz para sempre com todos os seres vivos que há no mundo.
17 And God said to Noah, This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is upon the earth.
17 O arco-íris é o sinal da aliança que estou fazendo com todos os seres vivos que vivem na terra.
18 Now the sons of Noah who went out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And Ham was the father of Canaan.
18 Os filhos de Noé, que saíram da barca com ele, foram Sem, Cam e Jafé (Cam foi o pai de Canaã.).
19 These three were the sons of Noah, and from these they scattered throughout the whole earth.
19 Esses três foram os filhos de Noé, e os descendentes deles se espalharam pelo mundo inteiro.
20 And Noah began to be a man of the land, and he planted a vineyard.
20 Noé era agricultor; ele foi a primeira pessoa que fez uma plantação de uvas.
21 Then he drank of the wine and was drunk, and was uncovered in his tent.
21 Um dia Noé bebeu muito vinho, ficou bêbado e se deitou nu dentro da sua barraca.
22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.
22 Cam, o pai de Canaã, viu que o seu pai estava nu e saiu para contar aos seus dois irmãos.
23 But Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders, and went backward and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were backward, and they did not see the nakedness of their father.
23 Então Sem e Jafé pegaram uma capa , puseram sobre os seus próprios ombros, foram andando de costas e com a capa cobriram o seu pai, que estava nu. E, a fim de não verem o pai nu, eles fizeram isso olhando para o lado.
24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and perceived what his younger son had done to him.
24 Quando Noé acordou depois da bebedeira, soube do que Cam, o filho mais moço, havia feito.
25 And he said: Cursed is Canaan; a servant of servants he shall be to his brethren.
25 Aí Noé disse o seguinte: “Maldito seja Canaã! Ele será escravo dos seus irmãos, um escravo miserável.”
26 And he said: Blessed is Jehovah the God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
26 E Noé disse mais: “Bendito seja o e que Canaã seja seu escravo.
27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
27 Deus faça com que Jafé tenha domínio sobre muitas terras, e que os seus descendentes morem nos acampamentos de Sem. E que Canaã seja escravo de Jafé.”
28 And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.
28 Depois do dilúvio Noé viveu mais trezentos e cinquenta anos
29 So all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years; and he died.
29 e morreu quando tinha novecentos e cinquenta anos de idade.
