1 You shall not sacrifice unto Jehovah your God a bull or sheep which has any blemish or evil thing, for that is an abomination unto Jehovah your God.
1 Não sacrificarás ao SENHOR teu Deus, boi ou gado miúdo em que haja defeito ou alguma coisa má; pois abominação é ao SENHOR teu Deus.
2 If there is found among you, within any of your gates which Jehovah your God is giving you, a man or a woman who has done evil in the eyes of Jehovah your God, in transgressing His covenant,
2 Quando no meio de ti, em alguma das tuas portas que te dá o Senhor teu Deus, se achar algum homem ou mulher que fizer mal aos olhos do Senhor teu Deus, transgredindo a sua aliança.
3 who has gone and served other gods and bowed down to them, either the sun or moon or any of the host of the heavens, which I have not commanded,
3 Que se for, e servir a outros deuses, e se encurvar a eles ou ao sol, ou à lua, ou a todo o exército do céu, o que eu não ordenei,
4 and it has been reported to you, and you have heard of it, and you have inquired thoroughly, and behold, it is true and the matter is certain, that such an abomination has been done in Israel;
4 E te for denunciado, e o ouvires; então bem o inquirirás; e eis que, sendo verdade, e certo que se fez tal abominação em Israel,
5 then you shall bring out to your gates that man or woman who has done that evil thing, and shall stone that man or woman with stones until they have died.
5 Então tirarás o homem ou a mulher que fez este malefício, às tuas portas, e apedrejarás o tal homem ou mulher, até que morra.
6 Whoever is deserving of death shall be put to death at the mouth of two or three witnesses; he shall not be put to death at the mouth of one witness.
6 Por boca de duas testemunhas, ou três testemunhas, será morto o que houver de morrer; por boca de uma só testemunha não morrerá.
7 The hands of the witnesses shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. Thus you shall put away the evil from among you.
7 As mãos das testemunhas serão primeiro contra ele, para matá-lo; e depois as mãos de todo o povo; assim tirarás o mal do meio de ti.
8 If a matter arises which is too hard for you to judge, between blood and blood, between dispute and dispute, or between stroke and stroke, matters of controversy within your gates, then you shall arise and go up to the place which Jehovah your God chooses.
8 Quando alguma coisa te for difícil demais em juízo, entre sangue e sangue, entre demanda e demanda, entre ferida e ferida, em questões de litígios nas tuas portas, então te levantarás, e subirás ao lugar que escolher o Senhor teu Deus;
9 And you shall come to the priests, the Levites, and to the judge who is there in those days, and inquire; and they shall declare to you the judgment of the case.
9 E virás aos sacerdotes levitas, e ao juiz que houver naqueles dias, e inquirirás, e te anunciarão a sentença do juízo.
10 You shall do according to the mouth of the word which they declare to you in that place which Jehovah chooses. And you shall take heed to do according to all that they instruct you.
10 E farás conforme ao mandado da palavra que te anunciarem no lugar que escolher o Senhor; e terás cuidado de fazer conforme a tudo o que te ensinarem.
11 According to the mouth of the law which they instruct you, according to the judgment which they command you, you shall do; you shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left from the word which they declare to you.
11 Conforme ao mandado da lei que te ensinarem, e conforme ao juízo que te disserem, farás; da palavra que te anunciarem te não desviarás, nem para a direita nem para a esquerda.
12 And the man who acts presumptuously to not heed the priest who is standing to serve there before Jehovah your God, or the judge, that man shall die. Thus you shall put away the evil from Israel.
12 O homem, pois, que se houver soberbamente, não dando ouvidos ao sacerdote, que está ali para servir ao Senhor teu Deus, nem ao juiz, esse homem morrerá; e tirarás o mal de Israel;
13 And all the people shall hear and fear, and no longer act presumptuously.
13 Para que todo o povo o ouça, e tema, e nunca mais se ensoberbeça.
14 When you come to the land which Jehovah your God is giving you, and have possessed it and dwelt in it, and say, I will set a king over me like all the nations that are around me,
14 Quando entrares na terra que te dá o Senhor teu Deus, e a possuíres, e nela habitares, e disseres: Porei sobre mim um rei, assim como têm todas as nações que estão em redor de mim;
15 you shall appoint to establish a king over you whom Jehovah your God chooses; one from among your brethren you shall set as king over you; you shall not designate a foreign man over you, who is not your brother.
15 Porás certamente sobre ti como rei aquele que escolher o Senhor teu Deus; dentre teus irmãos porás rei sobre ti; não poderás pôr homem estranho sobre ti, que não seja de teus irmãos.
16 And he shall not multiply horses for himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt to multiply horses, for Jehovah has said to you, You shall not return that way again.
16 Porém ele não multiplicará para si cavalos, nem fará voltar o povo ao Egito para multiplicar cavalos; pois o Senhor vos tem dito: Nunca mais voltareis por este caminho.
17 Neither shall he multiply wives for himself, that his heart not be turned aside; nor shall he greatly multiply silver and gold for himself.
17 Tampouco para si multiplicará mulheres, para que o seu coração não se desvie; nem prata nem ouro multiplicará muito para si.
18 It shall also be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this Law in a book, from the one that is before the priests, the Levites.
18 Será também que, quando se assentar sobre o trono do seu reino, então escreverá para si num livro, um traslado desta lei, do original que está diante dos sacerdotes levitas.
19 And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear Jehovah his God, to keep all the Words of this Law and these statutes, to do them;
19 E o terá consigo, e nele lerá todos os dias da sua vida, para que aprenda a temer ao Senhor seu Deus, para guardar todas as palavras desta lei, e estes estatutos, para cumpri-los;
20 that his heart may not be lifted up above his brethren, that he may not turn aside from the commandment to the right hand or to the left, and that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his sons in the midst of Israel.
20 Para que o seu coração não se levante sobre os seus irmãos, e não se aparte do mandamento, nem para a direita nem para a esquerda; para que prolongue os seus dias no seu reino, ele e seus filhos no meio de Israel.
